Bride of the Head of the Family
Obvious sequel to Charles Band's 'Head of the Family', wanted to see it made but could not get an agreement from fellow Full Moon executives. I hear a teaser was promoted in the Videozone to 'Shrieker' I think.

this wouldve been interesting! I have the promo on my DVD of Hideous! And Charlie also mentions it on the VZ for The Creeps

Charlie said this was going to happen, along with a part 3, but I just don't believe him.

Besides, there's more important sequels to get around too first.

More important sequels? Band probably doesn't give a shit. Remember, this is the guy who opted for The Gingerdead Man 2 over another Puppet Master...well, at the moment, anyway.

I always wondered what happened to this. The Videozone on Hideous! had a photoshoot promo for Bride of the Head of the Family as "coming soon". So did The Creeps.

I saw the promo on HEAD OF THE FAMILY. They had an actress for the role, make-up and so forth. As if they started filming it right after the original.

Interestingly, Jacquelin Lovell and Michael Citriniti (a.k.a. J.W. Perra) have this listed on their filmographies on the DVD for HIDEOUS!. So either this was partially shot and shelved, or shot completely and shelved, or they only signed on to the film before it was called off.

That's sorta what I think happened when I saw that making-of footage.

They could reshoot the movie, I guess. I doubt they'd get Jacqueline Lovell to come back (she says she's sick of nude roles), but they could retool the script a bit. I don't think the siblings are really important.

I asked Charlie about this on Saturday while I was getting him to sign my copy of Head of The Family. He actually seemed a bit surprised when I handed it to him and asked me if I'd seen it.

He said that maybe the sequel would happen next year, and he also mentioned that the script was really good. Nothing new, but I've still got my fingers crossed.
