I'm 30 minutes in on Jersey Shore and it's already amazing. I love that they renamed the slutty midget chick "Snickers."

The World's Greatest Dad - 8/10

pleasant surprise. it stars Robin Williams in a comedy directed by none other than Bobcat Goldthwait about a teacher covering up his douchebag son's death by masturbation-mishap as a suicide with a falsified suicide note written by the teacher himself. The students develop an emotional cult-following to the suicide and the suicide note and things go good for the teacher. shitty synopsis, i know, but fucking hilarious and wrong. it's sort of like 'Heathers' for the present day.

The Headless Woman - 2/10

realism gone too far. and too fucking boring. fuck my life for watching this.

Rabid - 6.5/10

fun, campy Cronenberg.. yet not as fun as 'Shivers'.

I still like the line in the first season i think where he tells Tracy he has Diabetes and says something to the effect of: "I'm sorry tracy i really dont know how to say this... dee a bates , die ay bets" etc. etc

OK so I am a movie watcher who doesn't know shit, or care to know shit. I might enjoy a movie that isn't good and in turn won't get why an acclaimed FILM gets just that.

So someone tell me why benjamin button was nominated for gay awards? It was long and stupid. He grows old to young, wow. Gay.

I watched The Limits of Control last night. It was pretty, but I have no idea what the fuck it was about. JJ let me down.

I think World's Greatest Dad is next on the Netflix queue.

Seriously? I didn't like any of the characters as I found them all quite annoying and uninteresting. Sure, Williams puts on a pretty good performance, especially the suicide scene; but no one else in the movie could act and the jokes were not funny in the slightest. It's definitely nice to see a comedy that kinda goes in a different direction, but this just didn't turn out as good as it could have.

actually, my wife and i were commenting on how there's really not one likeable character in the film (i didn't particularly care for Williams either) - but i think that's the novelty of it. they were not just unlikeable, but fucking repulsively annoying for the most part - but to me that works in a film without any moral thread whatsoever lol. As for the humor - it's really in the eye of the beholder i guess. it's definitely not the most clever humor, but what made the film funny to me were the many subtleties laced through-out. The part where Robin Williams is standing at the porn stand staring at porno with headlines like "SQUIRTERS" and "ANAL FISTING", and he just breaks down and starts balling his eyes out because it reminds him of his dead son... that part made me rofl. I liked the idea and concept of it as a comedy.. it was pretty smart i thought.
