Scoring goes like this, your designated captain gets 2x points earned. If the captain doesn't play the vice captain gets 2x points instead.

We get a budget of £100mil with everyone available to all, instead of drafting a shared pool of players with no budget, the strategy is crafting the most efficient team with an absolute even playing field of us all having the same players and same amount to spend. Ranking by overall points gives a good indication of how someone will perform based on last year's performance, but 0 points will show for players with no BPL time last season, including significant signings like like Podolski, Kagawa and Hazard, something to keep in mind. There are unlimited transfers until week 1 starts so there's no pressure to pick perfect right away.

Shit it's hard to put together a team.

Yeah you get one fat contract and it really digs in to the rest of your squad.

I think the last few guys were the hardest to add in, simply because I don't know a lot about mid and bottom table teams. Had to pick guys I knew would get minutes and not some bench warmer.

goalkeepers cost too much. the difference between the top and the bottom is barely anything so theres no point in going cheap

The extra mil+ for Hart doesn't seem worth it when I'm trying to squeeze in all the talent I can on the rest of the field.

yeah, but after hart theres a bunch of dudes at 5.5 or 6 and the dudes that will never play are 4.5

I post on the EA UT forums, and it's the same over there. It's been funny lately watching people fight over whether Corzola is better than Juan Mata. Or watching the repeated "Podolski and Giroud will surely lead us to European glory" threads over and over. My favorite ones from the Arsenal fans are the ones complaining about Chelsea, Man City, and Man United buying expensive players. Lots and lots of those.

It's weird that they'd be hopeful for their team to do well, right?
