I was at Soldier field yesterday for Mancester United vs Chicago Fire, that was a fantastic experience, and the Fire actually showed up well.

They probably won't, but go America anyway.

should be an entertaining game... its hard to take too much away from these games between the MLS and European sides because both teams, especially the euros, play alot of subs and keep stars rested. The euros dont play with the intensity of the MLS sides because they dont respect their opponents as much whereas the MLS players view this as a chance to test themselves against the best in the world and play like it. for the most part, the MLS sides have done well with the exception of seattle getting beat down 7-0 against united.

Something something team chemistry. I kind of hoped after a while Beckham would stop giving crosses and just put everything at the goal.

im super psyched for the new premiership season. i think liverpool are in a much better place than they were this time last season and i think we are going to get back in the top 4. hopefully gerrard and carroll can stay healthy for the majority of the season.

I'm still pretty new to soccer, it's only been a year now since I've been following premier league and watching games. I need wick and vag educated insight on this goal against United last night.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TKaPB0AKqY&t=4m24s

To me it looks like De Gea is just lazy on this, thinking it's going to wide or high of the bars and not wanting to concede a corner with a defend. He's got time to react, he does react and stops himself. He doesn't react in a full jump or even reach out his arms. There was another strike that didn't get into the highlights where it was almost completely similar, distance and position, where he just watches it sail over the bar instead of trying to defend it until it does. Seeing this twice in a game compared to two great diving saves Lindegaard had against the MLS all stars, they just seem worlds apart. But again, I'm pretty uneducated, looking for some skillful input if I am off base.
