Heavenstone is the next series due out on or around December 29 (my Bday hint hint) and the first book Heavenstone Secrets is available to pre-order. Secret Whispers is the second in the Series and due on or around Feburary 23 2010, also available for pre-order. "This upcoming two-book series is set in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky and focuses on the dark side of sibling rivalry"... |

OK I read somewhere on here about a suggestion that neiderman should start a series on boys and I thought it was a good idea that would be interesting. I also think he should do longer series again, you know? So what kind of series should we all be hoping for next?

Something with a supernatural angle (since in his own novels he tends to do better than he does for VCA about handling that type of subject). But a full series based on a male character with not a daughter telling the story by the standard 4th book but the son of the male character.
Enough with the herione in peril storylines. Make it equal, put a male on the role. Or make a strong self assured female (which would probably kill his creativity if he doesn't have the typical helpless herione). But I do know VCA herself expressed intrest in the paranomal and supernatural and she probably would have written a novel with such elements in it, especially since she turned in 2 novels about that which were refused due to the sucess of FITA and the company wanting her to continue on with that instead. |

I'd like to see something truly creepy and shocking again, and more adult than teenage-ish. The books he's doing now seem for jr. high reading.
I agree we need a male perspective also. Since the GW is a guy, it would be interesting to see how he would write from a boy's POV, especially when it comes to puberty, interest in females, and maybe some inappropriate relationships with female relatives. He could also throw in some male antagonists to give the boy a hard time wherever he goes. |

I'd like to see something along those lines, too. Enough with artists, singers, etc. It would be intriguing to see someone who really DID have a gift in the true sense of the word. A psychic, or perhaps someone with healing abilities, just off the top of my head. Someone who sees spirits (good or bad). The possibilities are limitless, and would make for a very different and interesting read. |

I think we got a start on that stuff with the Gemini series, but more in depth ones similar to that would be cool, more of the creepy stuff like in FITA. |

As he said to my question, that genre of supernatural elements or the paranormal-romance books that are quite popular now, was something that wouldn't fit under the VCA name then he switched over to how I should read his book which did fit.

I would like to see a creepy series, where a psychotic guy like Tony is plotting to kill the infamous perfect girl character, throw in a weirdly religious grandmother, like from Fita and you've got yourself a pretty scary story.

I want to see one with a lot of unnatural deaths in it like murder, suicide, etc., not the typical dying of diseases or car crashes crap we've been seeing for so long. I want to read the type of books that haunt my day thoughts and give me nightmares. That's when it's a good read.

Yes, one that keeps you thinking about it, I don't know how long after I read FITA it kept coming back to me, whether it was someone mentioning it or something being said that reminded me of it (even if it wasn't related to the story so much). I even had a dream or two about it I think. I want something that will stay with me and not because I find so many faults with it.

Same here, it was bad the first time like "How could their mother do that?" and then the more you think about it it's like "OMG What the hell was her problem???!!!!???"

When I read MSA, I had nightmares of being trapped in a room with giant bugs, nightmares about monsters, etc. As masochistic as it sounds, I'd like to have nightmares again when I read.
