In the Maluku islands, five vases were found with inscriptions from holy writings around the world. These five vases have mysterious properties - healing properties, the abilities to bend the laws of physics, and they cause even those people of the most sound mind to hear the soft whispering of voices.

The voices take the form of loved ones, heroes, those respected in their lives - one man heard his dead father, another woman a respected college professor, and there was even one report of a young intern admitting to receiving advice from Batman.

Before any reports could be written, unidentified men in black suits came and took the vases from the bewildered scientists. Several weeks later, one of the vases disappeared, but some strange happenings were reported in a town only a couple of miles away.

One woman woke up pregnant, swearing she had never been with a man in her life.

A man disappeared from his job at a construction site, only to reappear five minutes later on the other side of the world.

Another woman woke up one morning and called the police, claiming that her children had been kidnapped by her husband. She had never given birth to any children, and had never been married.

And everyone -everyone is hearing voices.

Who stole the vase? What is causing these strange events? Is there a spiritual cause? A scientific one? What about the other four vases? Do they have the same effects, and are the effects benevolent or sinister?
