He is a bit like Daniel beddingfield and Ricky Martin. But a lot better than them. Sandy plays on it too. Here's a list slide guitar, harmonia, 12 string guitar, accordian. mandolin backing vocals. here is a list of john playing lead vocals, backing vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar, percussion. "I'd have to be careful because my girlfriend is a vegetarian. Probably Thai curry with fish, coconut milk and sticky rice."

"I'd get my brother John to play a lot of rock, soulful tunes."

Who would you have as the lackey in the kitchen?

"It would probably be me but I quite like the idea of Max Frisch, writer of my new play Andorra or the Oscar-winning photographer Vittorio Storario who worked on Dune."

Which after-dinner joke would you tell?

"I'd leave that up to Billy Connolly but, if I had to tell one, it would be the one about Kenny Dalglish who's in a pub at Happy Hour. So he leaves."

How would this unlikely event compare to the way you normally entertain friends?

"I wouldn't normally have my brother there, or Billy Connolly and Kenny Dalglish, but aside from that it would be about the same."

Alec Newman, 26, was born in Glasgow and has appeared in Dangerfield, Silent Witness and Murder Rooms.

Down to earth person he is a very talent musician singer songwriter. We meet in the Silver moon pub. we talked about alec. He has seen has brother in ages. I told him about some of what i have in my alec collection. He said you really are a fan. I showed him my photo with alec. he said that principles of Lust was good. I asked him about dad. He has performed with his dad in public. He has split up with his wife but has a girlfriend. His little girl is 5 years old. I feel his music is more like cold play than daniel beddingfield. i am attracted to him. he knows that. I tell you more later Would you all like me to send a picture of me and him? izzy :D
