hello all,

So I've got a couple of character ideas bouncing around in my head, but I'm not really sure how/where to ground them. I'd like to aim for creating characters that are relevant to the current plot - if there is one. Maybe even be involved with the villains - if there are any - or make one of my own. Big, scary, evil bad guys are always fun ^^

The only recent threads I see are 'The Prophecy' and 'The Arrival' both of which I've read. I've also looked over the approved characters. I'm hoping someone can fill me in on what's happening, or if there's a plan.

Well, there are not many posts at all, so it would be easier just to read those to catch up on the story so far. And currently there isn't exactly a set plan. The story will adapt and morph on its own as we go along.

There are always villains. There are threats from above and within. There are aliens out there who with to dominate earth and harvest it for everything its has. There are also political struggles within the new earth as it is now.

If you have an idea, please feel free to express it. :D

Well, in my experience, RPs tend to die a lot faster if there isn't a planned plot. People end up sitting around wondering what to do before getting bored, especially those who expect to be spoon-fed action and story.

My understanding is that this site is set up for people to create their own plots and stories within the given setting, which is great if you get people who know how to do it and not just sit around waiting.

I don't need to be spoon-fed. I can come up with ideas a plenty, but the point of RPing is to have other people to write with and to create a cool/fun story together.

I guess all that said, my point is that I need an idea of some kind of plot plan ^^ Having an idea of an interesting conflict inspires participation.

Conflict means needing threatening villains. There may be potential for villains, but I don't see any villains.

Idea: what if there's an evil magic user who's been using his magic to build an army. His goal up until now has been to conquer the world, but since the humans landed, he's very intrigued by the idea of going into space and conquering other worlds too. He's also very fascinated by these objects that the humans brought with them that aren't magical but are still quite powerful, destructive and useful.

I have most of my character bio filled out, and I was thinking of having him drop in on Kutsine since she's sitting there with nothing to do. I was wondering, does the shield cover the top of the area as well, or could my char literally drop in on them? Would be just as amusing to see him try and only hit the shield he couldn't see

I was hoping my char could have some connection to a villain, whether it's the above mentioned one or someone else. But until I know, I can't finish his background, submit his bio or jump in with posting ^^

If you guys like the above mentioned idea, I can make/write for the villain - unless someone else wants to.

There are several villains in the RPG already. There is the old advisory to Empress Absinthe. Then, if you have looked at the profiles, there is Victor, who is the current leader of the expedition team.

Then there are the unknown villains (which pretty much are the mains ones currently, but wont be introduced until later. The team has to discover that Victor is actually a bad guys first), which are other aliens that Victor is cooperating with. I already said a little of what these aliens want.

As for the bubble, its a dome. It covers the top and sides. Kutsine goes out a lot because she gets bored, so said character can drop in on her then.

I will have to post tomorrow. Its 4 AM here and I have been gone all day.
