LUZON ROSARIO SORREL

You’ve probably seen Luzon Sorrel around Dawning; she’s that little four foot ten girl who skipped past you making you think for a moment that you actually saw a pixie. But in reality Luzon is much more than that cute little miss sunshine. Luzon’s not exactly right in the head, nor is her heart exactly beating the right way but Luzon Sorrel is the princess of the avian race. But all this royal business never fazed her, not when this little princess is stuck in her own little world.

the friends little luzon is truly a work of art. Despite the fact that the doctors declare she has a ‘broken heart’ it doesn’t stop this girl from giving a piece of her heart to everybody she meets. Luzon is the type of girl who would make friends with total strangers, or at least attempt to. She may be oblivious to a lot of things, but Luzon can read people’s feelings like a book. She’s the girl who would stay by your side for the entire day just to make sure you were alright. She’s sweet, maybe a little bit too trusting, but Luzon always looks for the best in people. She’s bound to have a lot of friends, for Luzon isn’t a shy bird.

the enemies It’d truly be a sight to see when someone sees little Luzon as a threat. Little Luzon is not a threat because with her innocent demeanor and fragile state she’d most likely be the target. Hate isn’t in Luzon’s vocabulary, but that doesn’t mean other people can’t find a reason to not like her. Most of her own family thinks she’s a disgrace, she may be a sweetheart but being sweet doesn’t matter when we’re talking about royal titles. Luz is a princess, and yet she’s not even a ‘pure blood’ by shifter standards. Most likely Luz probably won’t have any enemies, but there’s no doubt that her sweet, slightly eccentric exterior can annoy and aggravate people sometimes.

the loves Luzon can’t be looking at boys, not when she’s in an arranged marriage. At eighteen years old Luzon is engaged to the pretty avian prince Annan, though the tragedy of it all is that she sort of has a crush on this wreckless kid named Sparks. So Luzon’s love life already has enough drama to make its own korean drama. Maybe in the past there used to be kids who thought Luz was cute or maybe Luzon had her own puppy dog crushes. Who knows?

Do you believe in the Devil? It’s okay if you don’t, because Justin Case will leave you praying to God once he’s done with you for in Dawning Justin Case is the devil. This ginger is a psychotic, sadistic son of a bitch and wouldn’t hesitate to kill you. But Justin Case doesn’t kill people, he sure as hell tortures them and messes with their mind, but he doesn’t kill. It would defeat the whole purpose of him being a guardian. Yes this kid is a guardian, and make damn sure he was a good one. His methods might be unconventional, but he gets the job done and that’s all that matters in the end right?

the friends What friends? Justin Case doesn’t really believe in friends, because he doesn’t believe that friends can truly help you or make you stronger in the end. Hardly anyone can get close to this psychopath, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s pretty hard to crack and those who have tried to ‘get through to him’ have failed miserably. But, hey there have got to be heroes out there who have somehow managed to befriend the devil. Some kids who are brave enough to face Justin’s wrath or is dumb enough to be oblivious to it all. You’d be surprised who Justin would seem to ‘befriend’.

the enemies There is no surprise though, to the amount of enemies Justin makes. Justin isn’t just a sarcastic asshole, he’s a heartless sarcastic asshole. He doesn’t give a damn about what he does or if it hurts people’s feelings. Sure Justin Case knows he can be an asshole, sure he knows that he probably shouldn’t have told you that your boyfriend is cheating on you with another guy, but at least Justin Case is blunt and honest. He is exactly who he is the moment you meet him, and people just can’t seem to stand that.

the loves For Justin Case the heart is just another organ. There is no magical love at first sight moments for him, because love simply doesn’t exist neither does forever. At the moment though, Justin is tied up with the shadow princess Lilith Fabian. Who would have thought?

Raekwon is the closest thing Dawning will ever get to a saint. He is the guy who would go out of his way to make sure everyone was happy and doing well. One could say that he was born to be a guardian, but the tragedy of it all is the reality that he wasn’t. Raekwon Todd comes from one of the most feared hunter lines the shifter race has ever seen, and make damn sure this saint has skeletons in his closet.

the friends Raekwon is quite the charming guy, and has no problem befriending almost anybody he meets. He’s a real empathetic guy, and wouldn’t hesitate to lend a shoulder to lean on. Raekwon is that friend who would bake you cupcakes and bring them personally over at 3am in the morning after that nasty break up. He may not be Mr. Pushover, but he naturally plays the big brother role and is quite protective over the people he cares about.

the enemies It goes without saying that Raekwon is more of a peace maker than a hater. It’s almost impossible for anyone else to have the amount of patience Raekwon has. Enemies for Raekwon are rare, but that doesn’t mean they’re not nonexistent. Raekwon hardly cares if people cross him, but if someone dares to even threaten the people he cares about make damn sure that person will find out that even saints won’t hesitate to kill.

the loves Being the charming guy that Raekwon is does come with consequences. Though he doesn’t mean it Raekwon has had the horrible habit of making girls fall for him. And let me tell you, his fan club can be really scary. But love for Raekwon simply has yet to exist for him. He is content with all the love his friends give him, and to be honest Raekwon doesn’t have time to be fantasizing about his knight in shining armor. Yes Raekwon is gay, and though he doesn’t prance around with a rainbow flag he is quite open about it. It’s just that most people either refuse to believe it or automatically assume he’s straight.

Kovu hates the world because he grew up with everyone hating him because his family were shifters but they also were hunters. So almost every shifter saw Kovu and his family as traitors. Tragic huh? He’s not really as bad as everyone makes him out to be. Kovu’s just that kid whose been through a lot and is trying to deal with everything while at the same time realizing he can’t shut everybody out. Just don’t take it personally if Kovu automatically tells you to fuck off.

the friends Growing up Kovu was that boy who parents warned their kids to stay the hell away from. You couldn’t imagine the amount of rumors Kovu has had to deal with considering most people don’t want to be friends with a guy whose family betrayed and killed their own kind. Wiht years worth of exclusion and ridicule it’s safe to say that Kovu’s social skills are pretty much non existant. Kovu is pretty hateful but that doesn’t mean he’s an ass just because it’s fun. It’s become his nature to be scary. Though underneath it all, Kovu is just a really big awkward turtle. If someone can slip through the cracks and is remarkable enough to be deemed Kovu’s friend, make damn sure they have his undying loyalty and protection.

the enemies Kovu doesn’t dislike the world, he hates it with a passion. His lists of dislikes stretch beyond infinity and half of that list includes people. It goes without a doubt that Kovu will have a million enemies, rivals, haters, the whole deal. He’s got a short fuse, and isn’t afraid to work things out using his fists instead of words.

the loves Darling Kovu has only ever had one love, and that was his now deceased girlfriend Yasmin. She committed suicide, and needless to say Kovu blames himself for everything that happened to her including letting her fall in love with him and vice versa. Kovu can’t seem to get over her, and he doesn’t want to. He refuses to have any love because his heart is only meant for Yasmin, and if Yasmin is six feet under the ground then that means his heart is too.

Vance is one of Dawning’s three notorious playboys, and he’s ready to party rock. He may come off as a conceited, sex crazed asshole but trust me when I say he is much more than that. Vance Halasz is an angel faced demon, and through those smiles and playful winks rests a mad man.

the friends Vance loves to entertain and be entertained. He breathes in the social scene and is king of parties. Vance is bound to have a ton of party buddies and connections. Now truthfully there are very, very few people who Vance considers being his real friends but if you’re one of those rare people in Vance’s inner circle then there’s no doubt that Vance would have your back for you. He’s the kind of friend who doesn’t take bullshit, and best believe he would do whatever is best for you. Vance is a prick but he does care about his friends, and he’ll be there for them 100% of the way.

the enemies Vance has pissed off a lot of people and he still keeps his record going strong. If you don’t love Vance, you hate him. There really is no in between for this guy. He’s the guy that sleeps with your girlfriends and breaks the news about it to you the next day. He’s also the guy who won’t hesitate to screw your life over just for the fun of it. Vance can be a fucking force of nature, and he will get rid of anything that gets in his way. He may have a pretty face, but that doesn’t mean that his heart is made out of gold. Life is a game and Vance won’t hesitate to make people into his pawns.

the loves Vance loves sex, and he doesn’t care if it’s with a girl or a guy. He just loves sex. He likes to have a good time, but bails at just the mere suggestion of commitment. He’s a free spirit and girls who have tried to tie him down have only succeeded in looking like a fool. Vance doesn’t get tied down to anyone. He has sex with those he wants and then he’s done with them. He’s had pregnancy scares, and every night is a one night stand.

Everyone knows that Wren is that stoner kid who has an obsession with the sky. Most likely talking to the guy the first thing you’ll hear out of his mouth is “Have you ever looked at the sky? Like really looked at the sky?” People may just rid him off as another useless kid that eerily seems to not have a personality at all, but Wren is much more than that. Wren Nathair is supposed to be the next serpent king, but he’s stuck in a deep depression and he’s not sure if anyone can save him let alone make him take the throne.

the friends Wren used to have a lot of friends, hell he used to be Mr. Popular. But ever since he had seen his dad and two brothers killed right in front of him at age sixteen Wren’s been scarred for life. Ever since then Wren has become a depressed mess, practically giving up on himself and his life which included his friends. Most the friends he had before either gave up on him or ditched him and Wren is perfectly okay with that. I’m sure there are those true friends that stuck by him, but most of Wren’s friends now are those who he had met just recently. He’s an easy going guy and admittedly a great listener. Even though he may not put any effort into it, he still has this quiet charm that attracts people to him. Most likely if you’re a serpent you’re one of the people rooting him on to take the throne from his bitchy hitler mother.

the enemies Considering the amount of power Wren has there’s no doubt that there would be people who want to take him down, but the thing is Wren doesn’t want the power nor does he want to live. Wren would love to die, but he’s too scared to do anything about it. He keeps to himself most of the time so it’s hard for anyone to hate him, let alone want to be his enemy. At most people pity him.

the loves In his own way, Wren still has this quiet charm that attracts people to him, particularly girls. Girls see him and ask him out believing that they can change him only to be sadly disappointed in their expectations. Wren has a girlfriend almost every week, but they always break up with him. It’s a tragic cycle, but Wren doesn’t care enough to stop it. Every time a girl asks him out he simply says okay and then not even a week later finds himself dumped. So needless to say Wren’s had a lot of ex-girlfriends. It’s not like Wren thinks he deserves love in the first place considering the seemingly permanent emo phase he is in.

I'd definitely like to say that Luzon and Mireille knew each other prior to Mireille becoming a shadow and coming back from being one. As a matter of fact, I'd think that with how she used to be that Mireille probably enjoyed the occasions when she'd get to chat with the avian princess. Of course, that's all changed. She doesn't care to be around most people and given how the majority of shifters have treated her since her return, she's wary of them. However, her feelings for Luzon's brother certainly make Mireille more willing to deal with talking to Luzon and really trying to get along with her like they had a bit in the past; it's just hard for her to even enjoy talking to anyone without assuming they have an ulterior reason for talking with her.

So, I'm thinking that while Mireille certainly doesn't care for friends because she doesn't truly think she can have any, that she may not totally mind Luzon. Of course, this time it'd be Mireille with the slightly ulterior motive while the other half of her wants to believe she can be normal again and talk to someone they way she used to. Granted, Luzon could be afraid of her or even be forbidden to even try to speak to or interact with Mireille... but if they did interact, she would definitely not be as irritated as she usually is.

Psychotic devil? Meet the mentally deranged 'miracle' of the shifter world. I don't see these two getting along. In fact, I think that he would probably be one of the people Mireille actively avoids. Not because she's afraid of him, no, she's afraid of becoming a bit more like him.

I'm not certain if his relationship with the shadow princess is common knowledge, but if it is, that's another reason to actively avoid him. I'm sure the shadows have an interest in finding out how the hell she wound up going back to normal after being one of them. If not, I'm sure that he at least knows there'd be an interest in finding out how she did it. Of course, nothing would come out of asking. I pretty much see them not getting along with Mireille really just trying to avoid him to what amount of success? I don't know.

Even before how she is now, Mireille has made a habit of avoiding guardians. She never had a need to be protected and certainly doesn't need to be now. Even those who seem to be super nice big brothers to all. It was just that her parents told her that not all guardians are necessarily good, and if she was paranoid then, she is even more now. She can wish things were different though, right? That being said, if he's an awesome guardian worth his damn, he probably knows her story, let's face it, if you know about shifters, you've heard it. I don't know.

How I see it? If they come across each other, Mireille would be a bit awkward and just let him go on his way. She won't go out of her way to bother him, but she wouldn't totally blow him off if he did try to converse with her. She doesn't exactly have much in the way of people who want to talk to her, so despite her own thoughts, she'd attempt to get to know him if the opportunity arose and she was certain he wasn't just using her for info.

Social pariah? Meet social pariah! I don't think that Mireille will like Kovu, knowing who he is and what he's done. I do think that she can feel (what little bit she can) sympathy for him since she's sort of in the same boat now, socially speaking. That doesn't mean she particularly likes him, merely that she can now relate to him... to an extent.

Oh, so I was thinking... not really friends but they know of each other. They probably don't like each other and don't actively try to talk to each other, but there may be those occasional looks of understanding when they do cross paths, if nothing else. I'm open to anything.

Mireille doesn't care for Vance or his antics. She doesn't care what or who he is doing. She only cares that he leaves her alone and is content with never going to parties anyway. She doesn't care if he has a pretty face, he just comes off as annoyingly arrogant and conceited to her, and though she's barely ever talked to him? She really doesn't care to make it a habit of doing so anyway.

Mireille clearly doesn't like Vance. She has never really liked his type and likes his type even less since she came back. If anything, I see them as antagonistic. She spits insults about how long he spent making himself gorgeous, he asks if she's remembered to take her crazy pills... or something to that effect. He's one of the few people I can see Mireille not minding talking to, at least in a totally antagonizing way.

Depression is a shitty thing. Being there when people you love die is a shitty thing. Mireille can relate on both counts. Of course, Mireille wouldn't make it a point to try and get to know Wren, but she definitely knows who he is and his story, and she definitely can feel (when she can) sympathy for him.

If they ever do chat or anything, I imagine it being an odd occurrence. Asking Mireille about the sky might be one of the few things that might make her smile and I imagine she could have a nice conversation of sorts with him on how much she loves the sky and the wind... of course it would require either of them actually putting in effort to talk to each other. Or some sort of luck at being in the same place at the same time. I just think that if anything, he'd be one of the people Mireille would consider talking to and maybe even genuinely enjoy it.

I could totally see Gabe taking Luzon in
as his unofficial little sister... and she'd be
totally defenseless against his protective
older-brother position. He'd wrap her in bubble
wrap and lock her in her room if he could. Probably
because since he already lost a sister, he'll be damned
if he losses another. He'll also be willing to offer her
all the guidance she needs.

Gabe & Justin
Even though Justin's a guardian, I could see Gabe not
liking him. At all. But since they're technically on the same
time, I think Gabe just avoids and ignores him... as long as
Justin doesn't mess with anyone close to him.

Gabe & Raekwon
Out of most people, I could see Gabe and Rae being as close as
brothers. Since they're so close, I could see Gabe going out of his
way to protect Raekwon, meaning they probably fight hunters and
shadows together. Since Gabe it older, I could see him taking the big
brother stance in their relationship. I could also see Gabe leaning
on Rae when it's hard to cope with the fact that he killed his best
friend.

Gabe & Kovu
I could see Gabe trying to reach out to Kovu. Thinking maybe Kovu
just needs a mentor in his life. I could see Kovu using this to his
advantage. Maybe setting Gabe up someway. But even if Kovu
hates Gabe, Gabe can't turn his back on another beast. As a leader,
he couldn't do it.

Gabe & Vance
I think Vance would be a nice break for Gabe. Just a friend who he
can drink with and not care about what he thinks. Vance can be the
guy that Gabe always goes to when he just needs to drink and
sit on the couch.

Gabe & Wren
Gabe has an unofficial alliance with Avians. After all, most of his friends
are Avians. But he's hoping to maybe start peace with everyone...
meaning that if the Serpentine future leader needs help, Gabriel is going
to do everything he can. Gabriel is more than willing to come in and
be the mentor and the big brother that Wren needs. Gabe always takes on
that role in order to fill the void he has since he thinks he failed his deceased
sister. So he'll do whatever he can to help him.

Viv and Luz

I can't really see them getting along or interacting at all.
There's the natural Avian/Serpent rivalry, but I don't
really see them meeting. Vivian hates people, so when
she's hungry she just goes out and snags a mouse or
a bird. She could snap at a dove, I suppose. It really depends
on how hungry Viv is. She tends to go without food for a while
sometimes. She spends a lot of her time in reptilian form and it tends
to slow her metabolism. She really wouldn't enjoy Luz's company,
but I'm cruel so I kinda want to force her into interacting
with the little pixie. Any ideas?

Viv and Justin
Ohhhh yessssss. I can see these two being
a fun little thread. Seeing as Viv has status (or had, really)
It only makes sense that the guardians kept tabs on her,
making an example out of her would have been easy in her
hay day, and one can only assume she had some hunters after
her. I think my little Vivi-Bell has the spunk and attitude to
deal with him, maybe after she bitched out/ attacked/ scared away
the other guardians he was stuck with her. She loves knowing the
inside scoop, (she did spend years in celebrity status after all.) and
her knack for remembering dates and people could help him out
with his hunting so it's a symbiotic relationship of course.

Viv and Reakwondfthfthaksd =D
Yeah....she wouldn't trust him.... at all. Well...
even more than she distrusts other people. she knows her history
and has studied the names. She is definitely a firm believer in nature
rather than nurture.

Viv and Kovu
For being the moody type, Vivian's a pretty
big hypocrite. She would definitely be judging him, even if
on some level she could understand his attitude. I'm assuming
that he wouldn't really get her, seeing as he's ostracized by force
while she's done it by choice. Wonderful bitterness can ensue,
I suppose. They both hate people, so while they irk each other there
still is the fact that they are alike, even if for different reasons.
