weather: With fall receding and winter insidiously creeping over the grounds, the daytime temperatures have recently dropped dramatically. On the cloudy days somehow it seems warmer, the air dead calm and the temperatures hovering around forty degrees. During the nights and on those bitterly cold, clear days the high can be a miserable low of around twenty eight degrees. Snow is starting to make it's appearance, dusting the landscape with a blanket that rarely lasts more than a day.
