when you look in a mirror, you see a reflection. someone who looks exactly like
you, acts like you, but in reverse. a mirror image. as a child, you had probably
wondered at least once, what if there is a person, another world on the other side
of the mirror?

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR- - - w a k i n g u p i n v e g a s *cody and cairo had been dating for nearly a year. to be completely honest, cody was very much in love with him. they were that kind of couple that hand many ups and downs, argued often enough, but they always made up afterwards. they had never broken up for more than two days - they always got back together. always. being that they were both old enough, and had licences, they decided to take a trip out to atlantic city, new jersey. if you've never heard of atlantic city i'll fill you in; it's basically the las vegas of new jersey. it's got a bunch of casinos, crazy clubs and bars, and of course the atlantic city shore. the two of them felt like they needed a change of scenery, so to atlantic city it was. the first night they got there they went out sightseeing. their night ended on the boardwalk, just walking down the large stretch before them. it was rather enjoyable to be honest. though last night .. well, it was definitely a night to remember. - - - the morning light seeped through the windows, causing cody to shut her eyes tighter in an attempt to hold on to the sleep she was so peacefully enjoying. unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen. unwillingly cody opened her eyes and let out a groan, sitting up in her bed. agh shit, she sat up way too quickly. immediately she brought her hand to her head, holding onto it in an attempt to fight off the sudden throbbing. oh boy, she definitely had way too much to drink last night. her stomach felt completely empty, her head was killing her, and she could barely remember the events of the night before. that's what a hangover does to you, though. again cody groaned and rubbed her eyes, trying to wake herself up. as she rubbed her eyes she felt something metal against her face. confused she pulled her hands away from her face and looked down at them. her lips parted forming an 'o' and her eyes widened. on her left hand there was a ring slid snuggly on her wedding finger. "no freaking way," cody gasped, shaking her head. just then bits and pieces from the night before rushed to mind. her and cairo had gotten drunk .. they walked around atlantic city .. they walked into some large white building .. elvis impersonator .. weird priest .. saying i do! "oh no. oh no, oh no, oh no!" cody wailed. her eyes darted around the room - it was her own bedroom. thank god. they must have driven home late last night, so they were home now. that didn't change anything, though. without thinking cody his cairo's arm, shaking him harshly in an attempt to wake the sleeping boy up. "babe, babe wake up. we have a problem!" she shook him more until his eyes opened. the minute his eyes opened she waved her left hand in front of his face, showing him the ring. he was still stuck in a sleepy haze so she continued to wave her hand around, hoping he would make sense of this all. cody hadn't even looked at his left hand to see if he had a ring on too. if he didn't, that means she would be married to someone who wasn't cairo. and that would be ten times worse than anything else.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -WAKING UP IN VEGAS WHY ARE THESE LIGHTS SO BRIGHTDID WE GET HITCHED LAST NIGHT?DRESSED UP LIKE ELVIS, WHY AM I WEARING YOUR CLASS RING?- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- -Did cairo evers love cody shore? absolutely. despite the arguments and the fights and the break ups, they always made it back to one another. cody found a way to weave into cairo's heart, so much that despite how mad he can be at her, he couldn't be without her. well, the pair had just recently decided to take little trip to jersey, atlantic city to be exact, it was like going to vegas, but not really. overall incredible trip, but last night was definitely a night to remember, of course, it would help if he remembered anything. it consisted of lots of alcohol and whatever else that left cairo in such a shitty shape that morning. - - - cairo groaned, not wanting to be woken up at all, let alone being jolted and shaken to a point of near nausea. oh yeah he'd definitely had too much to drink last night. "i'm up, i'm up, i'm up," he said groggily, rubbing his eyes with his hands. ow, though what the hell was that, it felt like some form of metal that he was digging into his eye. he didn't want to wake up, no way, he wanted to sleep away this hang over that was bringing him down. that and maybe get up to use the bathroom.
- -When he opened his eyes, cody was waving her hand in front of him. what was she trying to see if he was blind or something? "Calm down, what's u..." he began to say as he stopped her waving hand in front of him. there was something new on her finger, a ring. well that's.... wait, a ring?! the ring sat on her ring finger, right where it was supposed to go when you got married. well, cairo was now awake. "um, baby, what is that?" he asked with wide eyes, his draw dropping. he didn't even remember what else went on last night, besides the drinking. cairo's head began to spin a little, possibly out of this new found discovery, and the hang over that was kicking in. wait a minute, had cody gotten married to some guy in atlantic city last night? he looked around the room to see that he was actually home with cody, not in some sleazy hotel room. well if they'd driven home he didn't remember at all and quite frankly that's not safe at all, but that wasn't the issue at hand. nope, that was actually her hand and that ring that decided to make its home, her finger. he hadn't even put the puzzle pieces together, that he too had a ring on his ring finger.

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR- - - w a k i n g u p i n v e g a s *that ring that was wrapped around her wedding finger definitely was not supposed to be there. never would cody willingly put on a wedding ring just for the hell of it. and before now, cody had never even been fond of wearing rings to begin with. they always got in the way of things, and when she had to play her sports she had to take off all her jewelry to begin with. there was no point in her wearing any jewelry for starters. her brown eyes were fixed on the ring, unable to be torn away. this ring on her finger meant that she was married. married to who, though? what if she was married to some random guy she met in atlantic city? what if he was someone twenty years older than her and super creepy? or worse - what if she married a girl!? cody may have been known to be 'one of the boys' sometimes, but she has never, ever, ever even looked at a girl in that way. some people say that it's fun 'experimenting' with girls, but cody could never see herself doing anything other than be friends with a girl. it wasn't even the slightest bit appealing. thinking about all of this made cody's heart race. she was freaking out on the inside, give it a minute and she'd really start freaking out. "um, baby, what is that?" finally cody peeled her eyes away from the ring and directed them to cairo. his eyes were wide, his jaw dropped open. he seemed to be having the same reaction to this as she was. "what the hell does it look like?!" she snapped. cody was known for getting too worked up and flipping out without even thinking. immediatly she shook her head. "i'm sorry, i didn't mean to snap at you like that," she apologized, biting down on her lower lip. cody threw the covers off her legs and leaned over cairo, grabbing his left hand. to her surprise a matching wedding band was placed on his ring finger as well. a sigh of relief pushed past her lips. okay, so he had one too .. oh shit. "holy crap." cody dropped his hand and covered her face with both of her own hands, shaking her head in hopes that when she removed her hands from her face there wouldn't be rings on either of their fingers. pulling her hands away from her face she looked down at both of their hands, rings still in place. a moan worked its way out of her mouth as she hopped off the bed. placing her hands on her hips she began pacing back and forth, over and over again. "we're married. i can't believe we got married. this is absolutley insane. we're eighteen, and married. i don't even remember this wedding!" cody rambled, frustrated and clearly freaking out. finally the girl came to a halt, looking at cairo. "we .. we got married," she stated for the hundredth time in a softer voice. duh, way to go captain obvious. like he didn't know that.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -WAKING UP IN VEGAS WHY ARE THESE LIGHTS SO BRIGHT?DID WE GET HITCHED LAST NIGHT? DRESSED UP LIKE ELVIS, WHY AM I WEARING YOUR CLASS RING?- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- -Cairo knew what cody was going through, he was going through the same thing, obviously. for her to chew his head off, was just not necessary. but he bit his lip before he would say anything snippy back to her, plus even if he had, he wouldn't have meant anything. they were both upset and confused, over wedding ring that occupied a once empty spot. when she grabbed his left hand, his jaw dropped again. that's what was uncomfortably pushing into his eye, when he rubbed his eyes waking up. well one thing was good, atleast cody hadn't married some random dude or chick in atlantic city. that would've been all bad, because that was his cody no one elses. he watched her jump out of the bed and start to pace, before he could move, he stared at his hand, in awe. he was trying so hard to remember what the hell went on that night. but nothing was ringing a bell. the words that she was saying was mingling throughout his brain and his thoughts. "we .. we got married." married, cairo never thought that would happen, not this soon atleast. they were only eighteen, they were still in high school for gods sake. what the hell were they gonna do about this? cairo threw the covers over and threw his legs over the side of the bed. before he placed his face in his hands, and shook his head. "this, is crazy. this is way too crazy." he had no idea what the hell they should do, i mean they could file for an annulment, but then the legal system would probably question what the hell two eighteen year olds were doing drunk in atlantic city. and what the hell were they going to tell their parents and their family? he'd get so much shit from his brother, and he'll probably get more shit from cody's two sisters.
- -Rising to his feet, he walked over to where cody had stopped her pacing. "what to do, what to do?" he asked, he wanted to hug her, but he wasn't sure if she'd just push him away or not. after all, they just got the shocker of a lifetime. his mind was still spinning, was it the hang over? was it the rings? yes and yes. cairo wasn't sure what was dominating at the moment, it was giving him a bigger headache trying to figure that out. he held his arms out to her, wanting to give her the option of course. thinking about it, it was kind of... nice? to know that he married cody. he loved cody, maybe they could just treat this like a promise kind of thing? "atleast we married eachother?" he said, as more of a question. he was sure he'd probably smack him for what he just said. but it was true, atleast it wasn't some gross hobo or something.

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR- - - w a k i n g u p i n v e g a s *cody was the kind of person who had a very quick temper, and when put in a situation like so her temper seemed to be quicker than ever. often times her and cairo had gotten into arguments, but they had always made up. the boy was rather used to her quick temper, so her snapping at him shouldn't have phased him much. of course he wouldn't be pleased with it, but he had to have been used to it. i mean, they've been together for a year and in that year they had one too many arguments. [i]"this, is crazy. this is way too crazy."[/b] cody didn't even speak, there were no words as to how crazy this really was. instead she just nodded her head in agreement to his words. what were her sisters going to say? they would surely give her hell. oh she could hear it already. 'cody, you're eighteen! how could you be so stupid?' 'cody what were you thinking?' 'you're so screwed'. they'd tell her things that she already knew. and what were they going to say to cairo? she was pretty sure that at least one of them would tear him apart. this was definitely going to cause a rift between her and her sisters, she could already tell. they were going to call her stupid, and she was going to get pissed off, and all hell would then break loose. she knew it. she saw him rise to his feet and walk over to where she stood. "agh, cairo.." cody wailed, frustrated and confused. cairo's arms opened, offering his embrace. cody took a step forward and wrapped her arms around him, hugging herself close to him. his body was warm against hers, his arms around her comforting and soothing. a sigh escaped past her lips. "yeah, it could be worse." her head tilted upwards as she peered at him from under her thick black lashes. "what're we gonna do?" god, they were just so royally screwed right now.
