Posts: 62 Member No.: 1 Joined: 29-March 09	so, if you’ve reached this point it means you’re most likely interested in joining poker face, unless of course you’re into that sort of thing.. you know, reading rules for no reason. because that’s cool too. anyway, welcome! sorry if these rules are incredibly boring, but they’re necessary. i tried to keep them short because they’re really just common sense, so skim at your heart’s content. good luck finding the super secret word! alright, your character name has to be first, middle, last name ALL UPPERCASE. if you mess up then that’s fine, just pm an admin and it’ll get taken care of. but it’s still a pain in the ass, so try to do it right the first time. there’s no registration limit, so technically you can have as many characters as you want, the only rule is that at least one of them has to be a canon. also, they all have to be ACTIVE! i can’t stress how important this part is. if you decide to register and take a canon, then use it. don’t post unless you’re accepted. if you want a canon that’s reserved then post your reserve too so you can compete after the three day time limit is up. sound good? no mary or gary stus. until we get enough members, this is a canon only site, but the canon list is pretty extensive, so try to make your character unique and original if you can. also, keep in mind that this is not america and it’s not the year 2009. the setting is going to be different, so you should be somewhat familiar with the setting and how your character might react to it. basically, just make sure they’re realistic ~~and not like bella swan~~! kay, thanks a bunch. :3 actors and actresses are preferred for face claims. mel isn’t too fond of model playbys, but if that’s what you want then that’s fine, just don’t overdo it. no disney teen queens, this includes miley cyrus, ~~zac efron~~, etc. just don’t do it. everyone should have at least an avatar of their character. there is no size requirement, just no bigger than 150x210. mel thinks that looks prettier but it’d be a pain in the ass to make everyone have graphics that size so whatever. oh, and sigs are cool. just don’t stretch the board. know how to spell. this site is considered advanced, so having good grammar is sort of a prerequisite, ok? i mean typos are fine here and there, we’re all human, but if it gets out of hand then put midnight show to prove you read this. remember, kids, spellcheck is your friend! not every post has to be a novel. no one has time to make a 2,000 word thing every time they try to write, so i’d say at least three good paragraphs or 600-700 words is fine for an average post. as long as you put in some effort, quality over quantity! the board is rated mature and advanced, so this is a warning to anyone uncomfortable with sex and drugs and violence, because it will occur. there is no age restriction, but if the admins feel you’re too young then that’s that. on a lighter note, be polite, don’t spam, don’t kill other people’s characters. this part’s pretty much common sense. just have respect for the other members, stay active, and HAVE FUN! --------------------
