Long ago all gifted lived and thrived among the humans. The two species co-existed, living in harmony. These were peaceful times when none were differentiated, none were segregated. Humans and Gifted worked side by side, even formed families together. Those with full powers were called Gifted, while those born of a gifted parent and a human parent had partial powers, these were called Halflings. Some gifted were blessed with mulitple types of powers but they were never as strong as those who had only one type.

As the number of Gifted and Halflings grew the humans started to fear them, they wanted action, they wanted them gone. This wasn't the mind of all, but of the majority. To see the people's will be done the government hunted the Gifted and Halflings. Though none were ever caught they are still sought. Now they live among us in hiding, doing what they can to continue on with a normal life.

The Gifted and Halflings had different thoughts on the humans. Some of the Gifted as well as Halflings believed that the humans were good and had acted out of fear, others believed the humans deserved to be punished for their actions and deserved to die. This difference of thought caused a divide among them that soon lead to war. Secretly they wage war on each other. Those who wish the destruction of man took up the name of Fire and those who wished to protect humans took the name of Ice. Then there were those who took no side, doing what fit their own interest, these were called Rogues. Now that this divide exists it has come to war, a war of Fire and Ice.
