"No not the docks, the Black Pearl is like none-other and is to easily recognized Miss Swann, we have her in a little cove further up the beach, hiding behind a large rock wall." Well, at least that made sense, unlike some of the other actions committed by Jack. That's what had Elizabeth had assumed anyway, yet had merely wished to have her suspicions confirmed. "Come now Miss Swann, I went through the forest to get here, I can most certainly find my way out the exact same way."
With that, Elizabeth set her step in behind Jack, making sure that she at least remained within close proximity of the pirate; even though she had grown up in Port Royal and knew most of the area like the back of her hand, there were nevertheless parts that she was unfamiliar with. And the dense forest that Jack was leading her through at the current happened to be one of those. As she tried her best to keep up with him, however unsuccessfully due to her attire, Elizabeth took a moment to scan her surroundings. Usually she could at least get a semblance of her bearings based on her surroundings; yet aside from trees and other vegetation, there wasn't anything else in plain hindsight.
The young woman had of course passed through the secret garden passageway before, yet she had never continued in this direction before. Now that she was making her way through, she couldn't imagine how she hadn't - it was beautiful in its own isolation, and would have been a brilliant place for her to have come to think on her own terms. However, as her mind jerked back to reality, she recognized the fact that now was not the best time to be admiring the scenery; it was imperative that they reached the Pearl. As she struggled to maneuver through the large entirety of the forest, Elizabeth realized that she was quite the distance behind Jack at this point. "Come now, what are you waiting for?" he called.
Furrowing her brow, Elizabeth pushed through the trees with a newfound determination. "Honestly, Jack," she spat, "I'm wearing a bloody dress!" She couldn't believe him; if he was clothed in such attire as she was, he would understand her difficulties. Finally catching up to Captain Sparrow, her eyes shone with the reflection of her temper. For the moment, she had nothing to say to him, yet she knew that if she found her voice again, she would more than likely not hold back.

“And whose decision was it to wear said dress?” Jack asked as he continued to lead the way through the trees and shrubs that lined their non-existent path. The Pirate Captain took out his sword and began to cut a bit of a path through the undergrowth, trying to make it a bit more passable for Elizabeth. He was in quite the hurry, it was just past midday now, and by the time they got back down to the Pearl it would be closer to dinner time, but there was no time to eat, The Pearl had to set sail immediately, before the Vanity caught up with them.
So onward they went, following the outskirts of the town, Jack didn’t dare venture inward anymore then they already had, he wasn’t about to get caught. Through stony brooks and gullies and up small grassy hills and around large clumps of trees they trekked, making their way down towards the shoreline. Jack’s mind began to wander again, this time not to Miss Swann but to two certain female Pirates, Jack couldn’t imagine what they would do to him. He shuddered at the thought of some of the gruesome torturing methods, or even worse – be marooned, for a third time on that godforsaken island. He stumbled over a rock and continued on his way, checking over his shoulder to ensure that Elizabeth was still following and pausing once in awhile to listen for any signs of pursuit.
Soon the trees were staring to thin as the pair made their way from leaf covered forest floor to a white sandy beach. Breathing in the fresh salty air Jack seemed to get a bit of a sring in his step as he headed towards the little rocky alcove that he and the otehr crew members had stored their lifeboat for the day. Upon arrival at the lifeboat Jack raised his eyebrows and the familliar form of one of his crew members. "Anamaria?" He asked in confusion.

Anamaria had been pacing on deck when she finally heard that familiar voice snap her out of her nervous trance. It was rather unlike Ana to be nervous about...well, anything, really. She was the kind of woman who always knew what she wanted and was always sure of herself, and so it was rare that she was nervous as she was now. However, it was impossible for her to behave otherwise, given the current circumstances: these were dire times, and damn it, she had a right to be worried and anxious.
She'd spent the majority of the day merely wandering idly throughout the town, looking into shops but, shockingly, not taking anything. Though Anamaria was anything but partial to land and preferred to spend all of her time upon her ship, even when they were docked, occasionally she felt it necessary to see how the rest of the world lived. It helped remind her of just how precious her freedom was...not to mention it ensured that she didn't lose her land legs completely.
It was during this wandering amongst the townsfolk that she'd heard about the capture of Gemma LaReu.
She'd dashed back to the ship to tell the captain, only to find that he had - unsuprisingly - vanished, not telling anyone where he was going or who he was with or when he was coming back. Since then she'd been pacing about deck, trying to sort out in her head what could possibly be done to better this situation...what she could do to help her fellow pirate.
And suddenly her thought had been interrupted by the voice of her captain, breaking through her thoughts. "Anamaria?
Part of her was alight with happiness to see him, as it always was when he came back. For all her harshness and obscenities and her tendency to snap at people, her bark was far worse than her bite, and she was really rather relieved when Jack turned up alive. There was always a fear in her that she'd never see him again...she supposed that was why she was so keen to remain at his side till the end of her days, though she'd never dare to admit that to anyone.
Her eyes narrowed almost immediately, though, because Anamaria was a woman with a short temper, and upon seeing the company Jack was keeping any sympathy or love towards him seemed to temporarily vanishe without the slightest trace. She didn't know it, but more than anything she was jealous towards Elizabeth rather than angry with the captain. Still, it was far easier to take things out on Jack.
"Where the hell have you been?!" she shouted, not caring about anyone who might have been listening to them. "Gallavanting about with Miss Swann, it looks like? Honestly, Jack, don't be such a child." She folded her arms across her chest, fighting with herself to gain the strength to keep from slapping him. "There are slightly more important issues than wooing naive young women who happen to be engaged and claim to be in love."
Glaring to Elizabeth for a moment, she sighed and tried to compose herself. After a moment she looked back up at Jack gravely. "We've got trouble, Jack. Gemma's been captured by the Royal Navy."

Finally - having ignored Jack's taunting comments concerning her attire and managing to keep up to the pirate's pace thanks to him cutting some of the wild shrubbery - Jack and Elizabeth reached an alcove tucked away in a rather discreet area. It was the perfect place to conceal a ship that was pinpointed as a prime target for capture by the Royal Navy; being captained by one of the most infamous pirates in the Caribbean if not the most infamous, the Black Pearl understandably needed to be hidden due to threat of being recognized and apprehended. Elizabeth had drawn in a deep breath in anticipation of their arrival, for she secretly longed to see the Pearl again. Also, Jack had told her that she would see Will again once they were on board.
However, the only figure that greeted them was female, and a face that Elizabeth could not easily forget. Anamaria. To the twenty-one year-old daughter of the governor, Miss Black wasn't exactly an individual that she considered a friend. And it wasn't because she was a pirate either, for Elizabeth herself was rebelling more into piracy with each passing moment. Her sentiments regarding Anamaria all stemmed from the incident considering the pirate medallion that Barbossa had been so eager to get his hands on. After being kidnapped by aformentioned captain, Elizabeth had been taken to the cave on the Isla de Muerta to lift the curse that had been placed upon the pirates of the Pearl. However, after a few drops of the young woman's blood had been shed and the medallion returned, the curse still hadn't been removed and the truth was revealed. Elizabeth wasn't a Turner after all, and her blood therefore was not the blood needed.
She was backhanded and later rescued by Will; they returned to the Interceptor and enjoyed a brief moment of solace together. However, that did not last long, for they found the Pearl gaining speed on their tail only a short time thereafter. Not being able to outrun them, the crew of the Interceptor needed another plan...and that point was what caused the majority of Elizabeth's feelings of loathing towards Anamaria. The latter had suggested that the former be offered to Barbossa in return for letting off the chase; it seemed to be a good idea, save for two things: Elizabeth wasn't what they were after, and the young woman didn't particularly enjoy having a weapon aimed at her threateningly. Thus began the negative feelings, and they had perpetuated ever since.
And it seemed that they were mutual, for Anamaria, upon seeing Jack, had stepped forward and was blatantly expressing her own opinions. "Where the hell have you been?!" she shouted at her captain, her eyes only then flittering over to Elizabeth. "Gallavanting about with Miss Swann, it looks like? Honestly, Jack, don't be such a child. There are slightly more important issues than wooing naive young women who happen to be engaged and claim to be in love." What?! That was such an outrageous claim from someone who had no idea what they were talking about. Elizabeth had half a mind to spit back a retort, and she most likely would have, had Anamaria not continued, her tone becoming more serious. "We've got trouble, Jack. Gemma's been captured by the Royal Navy."
Well, Elizabeth didn't know who Gemma was, but she inferred that she was a friend, perhaps a crew member of Jack's. Regaining her composure and keeping herself from lashing out at Anamaria, she spoke cooly to her, attempting to be somewhat rational. "Was she apprehended by Commodore Norrington?" she inquired. It was a fair question after all, and if the answer was yes, Elizabeth could undoubtedly help. Even though their engagement had fallen through, they were still on decent speaking terms; James undoubtedly still harbored a soft spot for her as well. That being the case, if Norrington was responsible for capturing Gemma, then they could use that information to their full advantage.

Jack stood there furrowing his brow as Anamaria yelled at him angrily. He leaned back a bit and opened his eyes wide as he listened to the lecture. "Where the hell have you been?!" She demanded and Jack was about to speak but Anamaria continued her rant with: "Gallavanting about with Miss Swann, it looks like? Honestly, Jack, don't be such a child." And then finally ending with; "There are slightly more important issues than wooing naive young women who happen to be engaged and claim to be in love." The Captain was about to yell at Anamaria for being disrespectful to her Captain, and tell her that she had no write to talk about Miss Swann in such a manner, because really she didn’t have a single right in the world to make such assumptions. But Jack’s mind went from thinking up a clever retort when he caught what Anamaria said next. "We've got trouble, Jack. Gemma's been captured by the Royal Navy."
The Captain of the Black Pearl stood on the beach dumbfounded, one of his newest crew members had been taken captive by the Royal Navy, now he could follow the Pirate Code and just set sail, after all he had Elizabeth and Will was likely already on the ship, or on his way. But Commodore Norrington had been the result of too many un-needed Pirate deaths, and the Captain had taken a certain liking to Gemma LaRoue, even if he had only known her for two days. Jack didn’t even hear Elizabeth’s question as his mind reeled. “Well we must rescue her. Oh and any news of William yet? He might be able to lend us a hand, and Elizabeth we might need you to provide a bit of a distraction for your lovely friend Commerce Norrington.” Jack began muttering a plan to himself.
