Jack had left the three women to search for Will on their own and he himself was off to find Miss Swann. He had opted to travel in the thick of the trees along the shoreline and sneak into town though a less traveled road, after all it wasn’t as if Jack could just go waltzing through town without someone noticing him, after all he was THE famous Captain Jack Sparrow, the remaining (was the remaining) Pirate Captain of the Caribbean. His face had been posted up all over the Caribbean with a large lump sum of money offered for him dead or alive, more for him alive of course. Almost double for him to be brought to Port Royal alive, and there Jack was willing walking through the outskirts of the Port in search of the Governor’s daughter, almost like walking right into the lions den.
So there Jack was running and ducking behind and around trees, pausing for a few moments to look around to see if there was anyone walking along the Port borders before taking off at a jog, if it could even be called that because Jack certainly had an odd way of moving. He moved quickly through the bushes, leaning back slightly and his hands held loosely at his chest as he went, looking around in every direction, jumping behind a tree, or down in a bit of a gully to look around to make sure for one he wasn’t be followed and two that he wasn’t about to be spotted.
So the Captain of the Black Pearl continued his glorified movement through the forests edge and made his way closer and closer to the large gated Mansion where he knew Miss Swann could be found.
~*~*~
After half an hour of this darting through the woods Jack arrived at the large stone wall that was built around the Mansion. Jack looked at the wall, well there was no way he was going to be able to scale the wall, it was just to flat, no foot holds, nothing. He then looked over his shoulder to a rather large tree in the distance; he ran over to it, gave it a good look and jumped up to grab a low branch. Swinging himself up he began to climb up the tree, swaying a bit in his usually manner and surprisingly not falling out of the tree. Jack made his way to a rather large branch that grew slightly above the stone wall. He tried to walk out on it but found that his boots just weren’t going to offer the grip he needed, so he crawled out on the branch on his stomach.
He moved closer and closer to the wall, when he was about to reach out to it and pull himself onto the wall he heard a large cracking noise coming from the general direction of the tree he was climbing. He looked up, eyes as large as saucepans and let out an odd cry of distress as he felt his body sliding forward at an alarming rate towards the top of the wall. Jack put out his arms and tried to grab onto the wall as he slid over it but was moving too fast and completely missed. He fell down the side of the wall and landed with a hard thump on the otherside.
Letting out a sigh of relief that he had made it over and wasn’t hurting to bad he looked above him and let out another cry of distress at the rest of the branch fell down on top of him. He struggled there for a moment, trying to get the dratted thing off him and finally managed to crawl out part of the way.

Dreamscape no longer was a comforting place of solace for Elizabeth Swann. Perhaps it never had in fact been as such, but even so, the images that reeled through her mind were now more disconcerting than ever. It was in this sort of manner that the young woman awoke from her state of slumber, her pulse quickened and her eyes wide. Something truly frightening had stirred up fear in Elizabeth's heart, and as she took several calming breaths, she tried to forget the images which had arisen her fear.
Yet how was she to erase such vividity from her mind, for it seemed etched into aforementioned location. Elizabeth remembered very well the odyssey concerning the Black Pearl - how she had presented herself as a maid of her own household, using Will's surname to strengthen the image. She had thought that the return of the medallion would secure her passage back to Port Royal; then Captain Barbossa would acquiesce to her request of the cessation of hostilities against the port city. However, that had not been the case, and the temporarily named captain of the Pearl had kidnapped the young woman who had, in reality, been the Governor's daughter.
That had led to the perpetuation of her rescue by Will and Captain Jack Sparrow, an infamous pirate who she now considered an honorable acquaintance. Granted, he had his quirks (quite many of them, actually), but he retained a commendable semblance of honor and loyalty; Will had, after all, risked his own life to save him from the hangman's noose - that sort of sacrifice only came in defense of a true comrade. That day was what haunted her dreams at the current time, altering their state to transform them into nightmares. Jack had managed to evade death per Will's bravery, yet instead of granting them clemency at Elizabeth's interference, the Commodore had instead condemned a fate worse; the hangman was indeed to earn two pairs of boots instead of one.
It was difficult enough to have witnessed the actual scene at the gallows, Jack having escaped death only by a slim margin. To have the scene replayed in the vulnerability of her time asleep was at least ten times worse. And Elizabeth's mind spared her none of the graphic details. As she watched her love die right before her very eyes, the young woman saw his neck snap like a twig, his body then fall limp and lifeless. It was a horror only too traumatic to have to witness, even if it was in the realms of her dreams.
As Elizabeth still tried to shake such images from her mind, however unsuccessfully, she entertained the thought that at least her heart couldn't be exposed to any worse. If only that were the case. As her breathing returned to its normal state, she heard a faint rustling from outside her window. Was someone out there? Standing up from where she had aimlessly fallen asleep, she straightened her gown and cautiously opened the window. Her chestnut eyes scanned the premises, not immediately finding anyone there and thus not confirming her suspicions. However, with one final glance around, she noticed someone rather awkwardly entangled in a branch of a tree, the former not attached to the latter. It was someone that she knew quite well, yet was surprised to see. "Jack?" she called out in inquiry, keeping her voice low enough as not to call the attention of others. What was he doing here? Well, she would most certainly find out soon enough.

As Elizabeth looked down upon Jack's struggling form, she could only manage to shake her head in bewilderment; it was astonishing enough that the infamous pirate had dared to set foot in Port Royal with the reputation that he had acquired, yet doing such in broad daylight was almost to the point of being unthinkable. Captain Sparrow was risking his own neck, his very life, to come and speak with Elizabeth - something was up. However, before the young woman had the opportunity to dwell on prospect situations, Jack's voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Elizabeth, dear, could you perhaps come down here and give your old friend Jack a hand? I seem to be a bit . . . stuck."
As Jack spoke, his typical smirk spread to his weather-worn features, his eyes practically pleading with her for assistance. He did seem to be in quite the predicament, yet Elizabeth found herself in conflicting internal debate. Why should she help him? A portion of her entertained the thought of merely calling for help, beckoning the guards to apprehend Captain Sparrow for infringing upon the Swanns' right of privacy on their property. Well, it wasn't even that; it was just...he was a pirate. And even though Elizabeth found herself rebelling somewhat into piracy, she still found the basis of it demoralizing.
Yet another piece of her, in actuality the majority, genuinely wished to aide Jack. Besides, the inevitability of the situation was rather significant. He had obviously risked his prescence on the Swann estate for dire reasons, and Elizabeth was curious to find out what these aforementioned pieces of information were. Thus, placing her hands on her hips and tossing another glance at Jack, the young woman nodded reluctantly. "Y'know what, Captain Sparrow," she began, hoping she would not regret her decision. "This had better be important." With that, she hurried back into her chambers and down the stairs, thankfully not encountering anyone as she rushed through the house.
Truthfully, the young woman did not know why she was in fact moving with such haste; yet she reached Jack rather quickly without a hitch. Lending him a helping hand, the infamous pirate captain was free from the entrapment of the branch within mere moments.

Once on his feet again Captain Jack Sparrow brushed himself off, and picked a few leaves out of his hair and off his clothing. The Pirate then stood there for a moment longer, swaying in normal Jack fashion; he then turned to Elizabeth, happy with his appearance and smiled warmly, well as warmly as a Pirate Captain could smile. “Ah thank-you Elizabeth, I knew I could count on you for assistance.” Jack then bowed, to Elizabeth, even taking his hat off to her. “Now I don’t suppose there is somewhere we can go to talk in,” he paused and looked around, eyes darting from window to window, and he would lean one way or another trying to look around the corners of the house, “private?”
He really didn’t feel like having a run in with the Navy or the Commodore for that matter, Jack had had enough run ins with the Royal Navy to do him for years, but the Pirate Captain knew his strain of good luck would soon come to an end, it was only a matter of when.

"Ah thank-you Elizabeth, I knew I could count on you for assistance."
As much as a portion of her wished to negate this fact, Elizabeth could not deny the validity of Jack's statement. He indeed could rely on the young woman for aide, for in conjunction with feeling obligated to assist him as he had done for Will concerning Miss Swann's rescue, she was also rebelling into piracy herself. Lately, she had found the majority of acts seen through by Commodore James Norrington deplorable, even if they were in accordance with the written rules of the law. Like her father had wisely once said, 'sometimes piracy itself can be the right course.'
And Jack Sparrow, the most infamous of all pirates that sailed the Caribbean, was all-in-all a good man per Elizabeth's standards. Even though he was mainly concerned with saving his own skin, he had nevertheless rescued her and also Will, whether he meant to or not. It was only fair that Elizabeth repay her debt and help the Captain; both for the sake of moral obligation and acting according to her own heart. After prying him from the shrubbery in which he had been entangled him, she watched with pure intrigue as he brushed himself off and then finally offered her a toothy grin.
"Now I don’t suppose there is somewhere we can go to talk in..." Pausing for a moment, the infamous pirate captain glanced around apprehensively, probably searching for any authoritative figures that would be likely to apprehend him. "...private?"
At his question, Elizabeth grimaced as she crossed her arms. Even if he was wary of military individuals and the like, the matter must be serious if he could not speak with her at their current location. No one was around; what was holding him back from divulging the reason for which he had come? Well, obviously he wasn't going to say anything more until he was assured that the location was secure - and even the young woman who resided in the estate could guarantee something like that. There were always officials darting around the premises, and they could easily run into such an individual at any moment of time. She also couldn't take him to her chambers, for that didn't settle quite well with her terms of propriety, even if they were dissapating with increasing exposure to pirates.
Truthfully, all of Port Royal wasn't private enough for such a conversation - someone of authority, or even not, could stumble upon the pair at any time and apprehend the infamous pirate captain. Such an extensive price was placed on his head that Jack could hardly make an appearance anywhere anymore; Elizabeth would simply have to take her chances and wander back with Jack to his ship. "Not really, Jack. Port Royal in broad daylight isn't exactly the safest place to be, I'm afraid," she reiterated from her thoughts, tossing a wary glance at Captain Sparrow. "Our best bet is to converse on the Pearl."

Jack grinned again, he was doing that a lot lately. “Ah perfect Miss Swann, the Pearl, I was really hoping that perhaps you and the fiancé of yours would come for another adventure aboard the Black Pearl and as members of the crew.” He looked around again before taking a step closer to Elizabeth, breathing in deeply her sweet scent before whispering. “There is a certain matter that I would like to have yours and Will’s help with, not to mention the fact that you and Will are in danger of staying at Port Royal much longer.”
He finished whispering and looked around Elizabeth, holding her shoulders and he peeked around either side of her form. “That is all I can say for now, we must return to the Black Pearl.” He paused again and looked around, trying to determine the best possible escape route, seeing as the tree climbing didn’t seem to go over that well.
It wasn’t exactly a lie, after all Mary Reade and Anne Bonney, to almost as famous Pirates as Jack himself were on his tail, he probably only delayed their imminent meeting by a few hours thanks to the storm. And many knew of the tail of William and Elizabeth lifting the Curse of the Black Pearl.
And as much as Jack didn’t like to get attachments to others, he had a certain soft spot in his heart for Will, most likely because good old Bootstrap was a close friend of Jack’s and had stood up for him before Jack was marooned and Bootstrap’s bootstraps were tied to a cannon and he was thrown overboard. The boy had quite the resemblance to his father, both with looks and his actions. And then there was Miss Swann, and that itself was a complicated situation in itself. Lets just say that Jack would do anything to help Miss Swann, and he didn’t want to see the beautiful young woman become the captive of another Pirate, her time with Barbossa must have been horrible enough.

"Ah perfect Miss Swann, the Pearl, I was really hoping that perhaps you and the fiancé of yours would come for another adventure aboard the Black Pearl and as members of the crew."
What? Elizabeth, after all her previous experiences at sea and with pirates, was supposed to drop everything she was doing at the moment to temporarily join Jack's crew? Well, it certainly seemed that way. At any other point of time, she wouldn't have even considered agreeing to such a request, especially having come from the person that it did. Yet now Elizabeth was seriously entertaining the thought; after all, what was dissuading her from going along with him? Perhaps it was the nagging voice that was manifesting her conscience, telling her that she was a member of the upper class, a socialite. Yet her heart told her otherwise, which was why she decided that she could afford going on another adventure with Jack.
However, as Captain Sparrow took a few more steps towards her and spoke again in a hushed whisper, her decision was cemented. "There is a certain matter that I would like to have yours and Will’s help with, not to mention the fact that you and Will are in danger of staying at Port Royal much longer." Danger? What sort of danger could the two be in if they stayed in Port Royal, the young woman's hometown? At this point, Elizabeth's mind was reeling and she didn't even wish to think of the possibilities.
However, she didn't really have much of a chance to do so, for Jack's paranoia was becoming increasingly evident with each passing minute. At this point, he had grabbed her shoulders and was peering around her petite form, this action earning himself an arched eyebrow from the aforementioned young woman. "That is all I can say for now, we must return to the Black Pearl." That was undoubtedly best for the time being, although Elizabeth desperately wished that they would make their journey to the Pearl in haste; she wanted to know what sort of venture she would, along with Will, be embarking on with the rest of the crew of the Pearl, not to mention what sort of danger the two were in.
"Fine, Jack," she agreed, sighing apprehensively as she suppressed an urge to roll her eyes. "Might I suggest leaving the grounds in a different manner in which you entered, though - you seemed to have been having a bit of difficulty." She herself didn't know what exactly would be the best alternative, however. Perhaps they could merely leave through the front gates, for there seemed to be only a sparse handful of individuals lingering around the premises this time of day. Besides, she really didn't want to be scaling a stone wall in her gown.

"Yes, I was hoping you would suggest any other way in which to leave. I don’t suppose you have any secret passages or back exits?" Watching Captain Sparrow drum his weather-worn and dirt-scarred digits, Elizabeth pondered his inquiry. Most of the estate was surrounded by the stone wall that Jack had originally climbed over in entrance. Unless they wished to risk meeting an unwanted guest in their passage through the front gate, it seemed that they would be exiting the same way that the infamous pirate captain had come.
Yet Elizabeth didn't want to chance something like that, especially with imperative as the situation seemed; Jack also continued to glance over his shoulder with a wary look shining in his eyes. Racking her mind, the twenty-one year-old woman tried to think of some other way that they could exit the premises, barely catching Jack's sentiments in an effort to usher her along. "Whichever way we are leaving, we really should be doing it in a hurry."
Sighing, Elizabeth cursed whoever crafted such gowns such as the attire that she was currently wearing; the strict confines of the bodice constricted her breathing, making the heat from the sun that shone down upon the two of them almost unbearable. Unfortunately, these thoughts distracted her from her original train of thought, and it was a few minutes before realization dawned upon her. There was another route through which they could pass. It was an exit from the Swann estate that only Elizabeth knew about, even though it existed from the beginning of her childhood. When she had been a mere infant, Elizabeth's father, Governor Weatherby Swann, insisted on pampering his 'little princess' in every way possible. After losing his wife, he became enveloped in raising his daughter in the manner of royalty - she was to be spoiled so that she was constantly content.
For that reason, and also in memory of Elizabeth's mother, the Governor had designed and organized the constructing of a secret garden; this paradise of exotic flowers and shrubbery was to be his child's place of comfort, of solace. And for years it had been. Yet little did he know that it also served as an alternate passageway off the premises. As she reminisced, that route became the idyllic exit. "Jack," Elizabeth finally spoke, her eyes sparkling with the memories. "There is another way - there's a passage that leads out through this secret garden that my father built for me when I was just a little girl. No one else knows of it, so we're secure to leave without any interference." Concluding her sentiment, Elizabeth couldn't believe that she hadn't thought of passing through the garden before. "It's just out back, let's go." She really wished that she could change out of her gown, but they didn't have time for such luxuries. For now, they had to make an abrupt exit.

"Oh wonderful! Always on top of things aren’t you Elizabeth?" At this, Elizabeth couldn't help but roll her eyes. Of course Jack would be thrilled to hear that there was a secret passageway out of the Swann estate - it severely lessened his chances of ending up in the Port Royal prison and once again being condemned to the gallows. For a pirate that had already come close to death at the noose, that thought was certainly exhilirating. And the passageway was indeed the best way for the two to exit the premises, yet as they did, Elizabeth wished that she wasn't restrained to wearing such gowns as the one that she was wearing at the current moment.
Her attire, however, didn't seem to be a hindrance to Jack; he instead found contentment in hiding behind the ruffles and extremity of the hoop skirt. Shaking her head, Elizabeth crossed her arms as she continued walking towards the rear of the estate. By attempting to conceal his whereabouts behind the entirety of her gown, the infamous pirate was simply making himself look more conspicuous; he was walking as if he wasn't supposed to be there. And even though he technically wasn't, it would've been much easier had Jack just walked alongside her like a normal human being. But then again, had Jack ever fit the definition of normal? Absolutely not.
The two made their way to the secret garden, the overwhelming scent of roses signifying their imminent arrival. As Elizabeth finally spotted the flowers whose scent she had caught on the air, a broad smile spread to her face, memories also coming flooding back. Her hazel orbs flittered over to the wooden make-shift bench that her father had constructed by himself; he was by no means an architect, yet he had built the bench for Elizabeth out of genuine love for his daughter. The now twenty-one year-old woman remembered fondly sitting on aforementioned bench during the springtime, reading the lessons that she dreaded yet her father was adamant upon. The only reason that she had willingly subjected to such was because her father allowed her to read and study outdoors - even the young Elizabeth was more inclined towards adventure and the open world; she wished to explore the realms that existed outside the place that she called home.
Halting just outside the garden, Elizabeth paused as she listened to Jack. "Oh, and William should be meeting us on the Black Pearl, I sent a few of my crew in search of him. And I am sure that one of the three would have managed to find him by now, not like the lad really goes anywhere after all." Will. After becoming engaged, the two had ironically been apart more than they had actually gotten to see each other. Thus, she was thrilled by the notion that they would be together upon their arrival to the Pearl. Smiling as she nodded curtly, Elizabeth beckoned for Captain Sparrow to follow her as she stepped on the stone path that led into the garden. "Follow me, Captain Sparrow," she urged, inhaling the sweet aroma of the flowers. "It's not a long ways from here." With that, the two made their way through the garden, Elizabeth leading the way.

And there they were at the garden, the sweet smell that wrapped around Jack like a blanket reminded him greatly of Elizabeth’s own aroma that he liked so much, certainly was a fine change from the smell of sweat that most of the crew reeked from on the Black Pearl, although Jack couldn’t really say he smelt like roses. He seemed to have his own aroma, which was completely Jack, no one could really decide exactly what his smell was made up of, and other then one could tell there was certainly rum in the mixture, the rest, completely unknown.
Jack could tell Elizabeth was pleased of the news of William, the Pirate Captain would have quite enjoyed the thought of having Elizabeth on the ship all to himself, but alas she was engaged after all and had eyes only for William. The infamous pirate followed Elizabeth through the twists and turns of the garden, walking at a more “relaxed” gait, if it could even be described as such. Now instead of bending over and crouching behind Elizabeth’s dress he was walking with a bit of a lean in his stride, hand at the level of his stomach and moving in the air as if her were playing a piano.
There was no doubt that Jack moved in mysterious, odd, and highly impractical ways, but that was how Jack was. And even though people mentioned to him his odd stances and movements he paid no heed and continued on his merry way in his odd fashion.

As they began to venture deeper into the garden, even though it itself wasn't that large, Elizabeth found her eyes wandering to Jack's form. No longer was he walking in an attempt to hide behind the confines of her gown; now he was walking at a leisurely pace, although his arms were moving about in a rather odd manner. Captain Sparrow had his own quirky style of doing...well, pretty much everything. The majority of the time, many people assumed him to be drunk - even if he wasn't. When he did stray from being sober, however, the extremity of which his oddities were present was intensified, the prime example being when Elizabeth had been marooned on an isolated island out in the middle of the Caribbean.
She remembered that night quite vividly; Barbossa had condemned her and Jack to walk the plank after demanding Elizabeth hand over the dress that she had been wearing and gifting Jack with a pistol with one shot. Not that she wasn't a strong swimmer, it was just that the young woman wasn't too thrilled to be forced to jump into the ocean in just her undergarments. After she had reached the island, apparently the same one that Jack had been marooned on before, she had looked up to see the aforementioned pirate emerging from the crystal clear waters. They were stuck here together. At first, she was frantic, demanding to know how he had escaped last time. And the answer that she had received wasn't the least bit what she had expected; in fact, she only became infuriated. The previous time that Jack had been stranded, he had survived by living off the cache of rum left behind by the rum runners. Fortunately for him, they had stopped by and he was able to barter off a passage.
At that point, however, they seemed to be out of commission, believed to be thanks to Commodore Norrington by Jack. Whatever the case, they obviously weren't going to be rescued or escape in the same manner in which he did then. As Captain Sparrow handed her a bottle of the alcholic substance he had divulged in while lounging on the beach for three days, Elizabeth had formulated a plan. Later that evening, the young woman had tricked Jack into becoming so intoxicated that he eventually passed out until the next morning; he woke to the sight of Elizabeth burning the trees and the rum in order to establish a signal to possibly attract the ships of the Royal Navy, who was undoubtedly out to rescue her. Luckily, her act achieved its exact purpose; yet all she had learned from that little venture was that Captain Sparrow was quite fond of rum and also that there was only one word to describe the entirety of his personality: odd.
And that was exactly how he was continuing to act at the current moment. As they neared the end of the garden, Elizabeth tore her eyes from Jack to concentrate on the path. Soon enough, they had emerged from the garden and were now on the outskirts of Port Royal. "We're just outside of Port Royal," Elizabeth explained, placing her hands on her hips as she scanned the surroundings. "A little farther down and we should arrive at the docks...that is where you tied up the Pearl, isn't it?" Actually, Elizabeth wasn't quite sure of that. There was the chance that Norrington would recognize the ship, and that was something that Jack wouldn't have wanted to risk.

“The docks?” Jack said in shock and quickly put a finger to his own lips to shush himself for being so loud. “No not the docks, the Black Pearl is like none-other and is to easily recognized Miss Swann, we have her in a little cove further up the beach, hiding behind a large rock wall.” He said, quite proud of the location of the Pearl, after all he did find the spot that made a perfect hiding spot for the Pearl – well until low tide anyways then the Pearl would almost be sitting on the breach and that certainly wouldn’t make for a speedy escape now would it?
“Come now Miss Swann, I went through the forest to get here, I can most certainly find my way out the exact same way.” Jack said as he took the lead and began to navigate his way through the trees. “Now be careful not to make too much noise now, we don’t want the Navy coming after us now do we?” Jack asked as he ran from tree to tree, very much in the same fashion he had used to get to Miss Swann’s residence, but this time wit ha bit more speed and much more looking over his shoulder, to make sure Miss Swann was following him of course. “Come now, what are you waiting for?” Jack asked as he turned to see Elizabeth not having the easiest of time making it through the trees and undergrowth.
