the plot
Hollywood, 2009. A full moon shone on that fateful night, as a glowing meteor gone unnoticed by NASA streaked across the sky, landing in an abandoned lot at the edge of the city. Five girls find themselves drawn to this location that evening, and their destinies are forever tied together as they discover a power unlike any other... and an evil ready to unleash itself on the earth.

it started out as a feeling general information NAME >> Serena Ann Campbell GENDER >> female HOMETOWN >> New York, United States BIRTHDAY >> OCCUPATION >> student which then grew into a hope physical information HEIGHT >> 5'2" EYES >> blue HAIR >> blond AGE >> eighteen DESCRIPTION >> (Build, unique features/tattoos/markings, etc.) PLAYBY >> Blake Lively let your memories grow stronger and stronger personal information LIKES >> • going out - Serena is in no way that girl who stays at home all the time curled up reading a book or whatever. Of course sometimes she likes to be home when she's really upset over something but other than that, all she uses her apartment for is sleeping, bathing, and eating. Everything else, whether it be dancing or just waiting for time to pass, she'll do out and about. • helping others - Whoever it may be, if she's asked to help in some way, she'll nearly always do it. It's not that she wants only to please others and look like a nice person, but rather, she likes the feeling of knowing that she's helped somebody out and brightened their day, even if it's something small. Even if it's generally not a good idea and it's actually kind of dangerous, she'll usually do it anyway. • food - Anyone who knows the blonde knows of her love obsession with food. Growing up ignoring those icky green things on her plate, she could care less about what is healthy or all natural. If it tastes good, she'll eat it. That's her motto. Sugar donuts are among her favourites. • cats - Fuzzy, cute, and cuddly, cats are by far Serena's favourite animals. Although her parents never allowed her to have pets, she took in three newborn kittens at the age of seven that she found alone and behind a dumpster in an alley. She snuck tuna up into her room every day for two weeks until her dad caught her. He told her to give them to a shelter but after much pleading and many promises on her part, he eventually gave in. Although one died a few years later of cancer, Serena still has the two tortoiseshell cats that she rescued so many years before. Their names are Alice and Leo. • men - Serena is often spotting handsome young men on the street, in stores, and so on and so forth. Ever since she was a girl she'd drool over boys, making googly eyes at them while they weren't looking and blushed whenever they'd talk to her. If very embarrassed, she'd make a quick excuse and run for it. It would be nice to say that things have changed but they honestly haven't. • mysteries - Mysteries translate as adventures to this girl instantaneously. She likes to know what's going on and whenever she isn't in the know, her instinct is to take action and find out whatever there is that needs discovering. Things that are 'better left unsaid' do not exist in Serena's mind. The one thing she can't stand is being lied to and she'll go at great lengths to find the truth. • tv - Although reality tv shows truly annoy her and she would probably never watch the news to save her life, Serena does like watching the tube, almost often managing at least a few minutes once a day. She doesn't have too many favourite programs but the ones she does love, she will make sure to be there to watch. • the night sky - Growing up in the suburbs right outside of Paris, Serena never really saw much of the country side and nature, but what she likes about the sky is that it's everywhere and anywhere. You might thing that's a silly thing to say but Serena would disagree. The sky holds so many mysteries in her eyes and she'll often be caught staring up at it in a daze, but particularly at night. Some nights, if she's sad or lonely, she'll go outside no matter where she may be and looks up at the night sky. With its many stars, she can look up at them for hours daydreaming and try and guess what's up there. • summer - This blonde can always be seen with a nice tan and that isn't because she's going to tanning booths. In those few precious months of summer, she just hates staying inside and will use any excuse she can come up with to go outdoors and enjoy. Everything about it she loves. The flowers, the smell, and especially the cute boys at the beach and mowing their lawns with nothing but shorts on. It's by far her favourite season and she'll go as far as actually feeling down in the dumps when it comes to an end. • video games - No matter the game, it's guaranteed that she'll beat you at it. An expert with Xbox, Playstation, and Gamecube, this chick will whup your ass at each and every one. When she was a bit younger and trying to escape looming homework deadlines, she'd go to the nearby video arcade and spend all her pocket change on games. Really the only thing she isn't any good at is the new Wii. Something about having to worry about more than buttons gets to be too much for her and playing it will usually result in the same way that sports result in. But she loves it all the same. It's a way for her to have fun and relax. • shopping - They say she's an addict and they are correct. No she doesn't have all that much money to spend on, well, anything other than food at the moment, but when she can afford it, she will do it with the skill and impatience of a pro. • jewelry - Serena just loves all sorts of jewelry. She really isn't quite picky but particularly likes rhinestones and diamonds although all she can afford really are rhinestones. She's often wearing necklaces, bracelets, and rings, and has even covered her old Motorola cellphone with pink rhinestones. She likes to think of herself as not that much of a girly girl but when it comes to jewelry, she definitely is. No question. • excitement - This young blonde is nothing without excitement. Her life so far has been full of it although she can't say all of it has been good. Boredom just isn't in her vocabulary. If she isn't really entertained she always goes off and finds something to do. However, excitement and adventure of all sorts seem to find her more often than her looking for it. She is a magnet for action and she just loves it. What's life without a bit of fun? It's all about the risks for Serena and she isn't afraid to take them to live life to the fullest. • roses - Yes she certainly loves all sorts of flowers for their feel and their smell, particularly the white ones. For some reason she just never gave up on her grudge against the red ones. Her dad used to get her mother red roses. Then he left without a word. • love - Often caught daydreaming out loud, it is fairly obvious to even acquaintances of Serena that she is often thinking up fantasies of finding her prince charming and living happily ever after. She's the girl who danced around wrapped up in white sheets as a wedding dress and a pillow case as a veil as a little girl. She even got married to the boy in her class in the second grade with dandelions tied into circles as rings. It was quite the splendid moment but Serena would like to have an even better wedding one day. She isn't ashamed to say that she is in love with love, and wishes that one day she'll find her prince charming and live happily ever after. A girl can dream, right? • baths - Long and very, very hot, her brother is often being forced to tearing the bathroom door down because he needs to pee so badly because she'll simply soak for hours and hours. She enjoys bubbles to best but oils and bath salts work just as fine. Whatever creates the best aroma. • comic books - Upon meeting Serena, you would probably think that she is a dumb blonde who is definitely a bit nuts and is a complete girly girl. This isn't exactly true. Maybe it's that bit of 'crazy' in her because she can't explain her obsession with the only books she'll allow herself to read. Some people call them comic books but she calls them graphic novels because that's really what they are. She isn't ashamed of her interest in comics though and doesn't care if that makes her a geek. She is really quite open when it comes to comics and reads Star Wars, X-Men, Superman, and even Archie sometimes. If you ask extremely nicely with a convincing counter argument if she brings up the last time you ruined or lost something of hers, she might just let you borrow one of her precious babies. • the arts - Ever since she was a girl, Serena loved art. Sure she wasn’t going to be the next Michael Angelo but her skill wasn’t what mattered to her. She enjoyed the process and creative thought behind it. One day when she tried out for the school play in high school, she unknowingly discovered what she would one day study at l’Academie Lumineux – theatre. She’s a gifted actress, having even won scholarships for her talent, and though you may think she could never look anything but girly and peppy, she’s really quite able to look at a character from multiple angles and replicate that, making it into her own. One day, Serena would like to take lead roles in the best theatres of Europe, but you never know what might happen. • sewing - Serena learned from her grandmother how to sew and continued to learn in her home economics class in junior high. When her father left, it was just her, her mom, and her little brother, and with them having difficulty paying the bills, Serena was hardly going out shopping. When clothes tore, she would repair them. When she outgrew them, she learned to make new clothing. It’s a skill that will always be useful in Serena’s opinion, as people tend to spend way too much on stuff that wasn’t even well made. She doesn’t really care if it makes her a stereotypical woman, because she enjoys the feeling of having accomplished something and having that daily reminder by wearing it. • singing - She isn’t awful and she isn’t amazing, but her voice is certainly nice to listen to. It’s the kind that you can imagine singing lullabies. Serena has no dreams of being a singing sensation but she definitely loves karaoke! Singing in the shower? Check. Can play the piano at the same time? Check. It’s iffy but she could manage it after a good deal of practice. DISLIKES >> • waking up early - Serena cherishes her sleep. If she could, she would probably sleep for twelve hours every night and classes wouldn’t be allowed to start until after lunch. Some people say she hates waking up because she's lazy and that is partly the reason, but most of all it's because she doesn't get enough sleep to sustain her throughout the day as she dispenses great deals of energy. It's one of those things that a whole bunch of strangers know about her. Not because she has loads of stalkers or anything but because she captures many people's attention every morning when she's shrieking loudly, sprinting to class. Sure she's on time to most of them, but never to her first of the day. Serena says that her alarm clock is defective but it's really because she's learned to sleep through it. • studying - Yeah she’s lazy but so what? She’s improved since high school and that’s all that matters. Even having to stay conscious during classes is straining enough but to actually spend time after looking over it? Pfft, no way! Serena likes to have fun and studying is certainly not fun in her book. However, she has learned to crack open a book or two before exams which keeps her from failing. And then of course having to keep up her average so that her scholarship is still there motivates her enough to hand in an essay or two. Surprisingly enough, especially compared to her Ds and Fs in grade school, she has a 85 average. At first, classmates and her mother (naturally) thought she must have cheated somehow, but Serena is just a lot more interested in theatre than the boring stuff they had to learn before going to college. Math? Science? It’s really about what she has to study but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t actually look forward to it. Look forward to studying? Serena would sooner move to Antarctica. • stereotyping - It doesn’t matter what the stereotype is or who it’s directed to. If someone stereotyped her worst enemy she’d probably leap to their defence. You might wonder why Serena cares that much? It’s simple really... She’s been stereotyped all her life, whether it be dumb blond jokes or people just making fun of her in general, she always hated it. Serena has learned over the years to swallow the jokes but if someone were to be actually cruel about it, it’s likely that person will have the imprint of a small fist dented into their cheek. She’s sensitive about her grades when people really believe she’s unintelligent. It’s probably the only thing she really cries about anymore. • perverts - Ew. Men, boys, whatever. If a male so much as smirks at her from across the room, Serena gets super angry and confronts said male. Serena is beautiful and though she is more delicate than most, she tends to garner the attention of the opposite sex. You might think she’d have gotten tired by now, yelling at those poor, poor men, but the fact is, she’s usually pretty oblivious to it. Oh she was more oblivious to it before, but Paris seems to have a lot more sexually confident men than in Rouen, and Serena is still adjusting to that. Sure Serena is lazy and a complainer, but she has morals. Being stared at like a juicy steak and doing nothing is just not acceptable for Serena. Count on Serena to point out a hot guy from a mile away but what she really looks for in men is romance. Not ass grabbing. • artichokes - Blergh! There really isn’t anything else to say other than they are the most disgusting food that Serena could ever think up. She had some bad food poisoning as a kid once. Artichokes were involved and it wasn’t pretty. Feed Serena artichokes and you’re going’ at the top of her death list. • failing - Failing others has never really been a problem for her except for when it comes to her mother and brother. Sure she always used to get a bit embarrassed when someone asked her why she was a year older than her classmates, but all she truly cares about is failing herself and her expectations. They’re low for some things and high for others. • being a disappointment - She can't stand it. Really. It makes her feel helpless, weak, stupid, lazy, pathetic, and all those other things that make her crawl into a ball and cry under her covers. If she's in a public place, it's usually a bathroom stall, but she tries not to make it a common occurrence. How she sees herself has always been a big, annoying pink elephant in her mind that just won't shut the f**k up. She has it fairly under control now, but it was especially bad in her teen years. Unlike others, it was never her appearance, but more so her grades. Everyone thought she never cared, but deep down she did, and for a long time she had herself convinced she wasn't intelligent. It still nips at her ankles from time to time, but Serena's self esteem has grown a great deal since being accepted at l'Academie and getting a lot of the big theatre and drama related scholarships available. For the first time she knows she is great at something and she's hoping that the more she studies at l'Academie, the more she will improve. • funny money business - Probably the weirdest thing for Serena to understand at l'Academie is how wealthy all the other students and their families are. After gabbing to someone about her scholarships, it was as if she hadn't been making friends with the girl for the past hour and they weren't getting along. Sure Serena can't stand not being liked but the one thing she'll never be ashamed of is who she is and where she's from. Where she's from is linked of course to the whole money deal, as Serena soon found out. Most would have simply lied or avoided the subject if they were in her place, but this is Serena. Oh no, she spent the first week making sure everyone knew her name and that she had almost no money. She had a lot of fun doing that actually. That way, she could sort out the jerks and so far it has worked well for her. And anyway, whenever people ask her where she bought her clothes, she just told them that she designed them herself. That's a hell of a lot more impressive to Serena. • greediness - It's more disgusting than cockroaches in Serena's opinion. Greediness goes right along with selfishness and both are traits that she avoids like the plague. If she's around people who are inhuman like that, she will feel like she might catch it if she doesn't get away. • nagging - It's less annoying than teasing maybe but it's still pretty high up there on this blonde's most hated list. As if she hasn't noticed during the past twenty years of her life that she watches too much TV, she's always late, she eats like a pig, and the list continues. She doesn't exactly care to listen to people tell her what she should be doing because those people are usually those who don't know her well enough to know she's smart enough to know what's right and what's wrong. She just doesn't do it how she knows she should. No one's perfect and she doesn't want to be. • pressure - This goes along with nagging but pressure, stress, and all that fun stuff has a special place in Serena's heart. She is a care free girl. She enjoys being this way. If she feels stressed or heavily pressured, she has trouble handling it, not really being able to cope with it. It's like having a pillow pressed to her face for Serena, so her natural reaction is to eliminate of said pillow. And people say there's no logic in her life? • exercise - If Miss Chevey was never late and no longer forced to run all over Paris, she would be without any muscle whatsoever. It's a bit sad really but the fact that she's both lazy and uncoordinated works against her. She runs out of breath if she goes up too many flights of stairs and she can't do fifty sit ups without her belly hurting. Exercise machines scare her anyway, or so she says. Her daily runs, however, keep her fairly toned and if push comes to shove, she could exert the energy and strength needed. • party poopers - Oh you know what I'm talking about so don't you pretend otherwise. They're the people who are too serious and too mature for their own good. They're the ones who spoil Serena's fun and take away her blindfolds, even when it's the best thing to do. They're the people who remind her of her parents • meanies - Similar • being told what to do • gossip • school • being teased • dentists • ghosts HOBBIES >> • visiting stores - Even if she doesn't buy anything, just trying the stuff on is enough to perk Serena up after the most awful of days. • sewing - It puts her at a calm and keeps her from having to waste money on overpriced clothing. • reading - Ha! Tricked ya! No, but really, she does enjoy reading, but only the romantic stuff with good looking guys on the cover. • comics - She's a nerd and she doesn't care one bit. From the superhero stuff to unknown Japanese stuff, she loves it all. She's even learned some Japanese too! • video games - It's more of a passion than a hobby to Serena but that's when people usually start to giggle. She gets really intense when she plays too, which is why her mom stripped her of her Wii an hour after she gave it to her. • chick flicks - Serena is the queen of chick flicks and anyone who says otherwise will be severely punished. She has every detail about them all in her head like her own better IMDB. If only she did the same for school... • hunting - No, not hunting animals. In fact, Serena has been known to try and hurt people who do that sort of thing. This kind of hunting involves a friend, some dark sunglasses, and a chocolate milkshake, looking for hunky men. FEARS >> FLAWS >> FAMILY >> FRIENDS >> RELATIONSHIP(S) >> FUTURE GOALS >>
PERSONALITY >> No matter to what degree a person is acquainted with Serena, whether they hate her or love her or really could care less about her there’s one thing they could probably use to describe her: loud. Calling her vocal would be the polite way to put it. If Serena was describing herself she would probably say something along the lines of “loud as fuck”. Certainly she is quite loud too. Some of the neighbours that she know swear up and down that they can hear her talking when she’s in her apartment and they’re in theirs. She never quite believed that one though. It doesn’t matter where she is or what she’s talking about or who she’s with she only seems to have one volume: loud enough so that the people across the room can hear her but not quite loud enough that she’s screaming. Okay, well, that’s not entirely true, she actually has two volumes: normal voice and the one she reserves for screaming matches. Yup, she only gets louder much to the dismay of the people who know her. Unfortunately this is the reason that people tend not to disclose private information to her in places where she could easily be overheard with that voice of hers. Her friends learned that one fast. Now this volume problem can sometimes be more than just a tad annoying for the people that she hangs around. In fact, most of the people she knows would even admit that at times she can be very obnoxious. It’s not just the fact that she’s loud though, it’s also the fact that she’s constantly running that mouth of hers. Oh yes, Serena has an opinion about everything and is far from being afraid of voicing it to whoever’s nearest which can get a little old when she simply will not shut up. But that aside she also has a little problem that’s completely unrelated to the excessive loudness of her talking voice or anything to do with her voice. See she’s spent her entire life pushing people’s buttons. That seemed to transfer over to the rest of her life and has almost become a hobby of hers. Now she doesn’t do it all the time, but at least a good once a week she gets this urge to piss someone off. Why? Because it’s amusing for her. Sure, she doesn’t think it’s funny when she’s pissed off but when other people are it’s hilarious. There are very few people who are safe when she gets those urges. Not even her best friends or people she should be afraid are exempt from it. She learns what really gets to a person and then does everything in her power to exploit these little things that make them mad. Now sometimes she knows when to quit, but most of the time Serena doesn’t know when to stop and keeps irritating people to the point that they blow up on her leaving her cackling about the whole thing. It certainly is a habit that has driven people away in the past and yet she persists in it.
Now she herself has little tolerance for people who play the same button-pushing games that she does. In fact anyone who’s at it for too long will probably receive a slap in the face or a knee to the balls. Hypocrite much? Sure, you could probably say that, but just not to Serena because you would probably get slapped too. She’s never been the best at staying calm; no she just gets pissed and attacks the source of it. It’s an undesirable trait yet she’d be a terrible liar if she denied it. She doesn’t try to deny it though. She knows that she’s quick to take offense. Actually most people would probably say she is overly sensitive perceiving things they didn’t intend to be insults as insults. She’s never exactly bothered to attempt to reign in her temper either. It’s just one of her flaws and she could care less that she has a nasty temper. It’s part of who she is and people can accept it or not. That’s her policy of self-contentment. Serena lives by that. After all, where is the point in hating yourself? You only make yourself miserable by doing that and the last thing this world needs is more depressed people. Or at least that’s her take on it. She’s willing to accept the fact that she’s full up to the brim with flaws and probably has few redeeming qualities and she manages to be okay with that. It makes her wonder how good people, the ones who are so incredibly pure that it’s almost unbelievable, the ones that never utter a bad word about anyone, the ones who are always helping other can’t then accept themselves. Obviously you’re the way you are for a reason because if there wasn’t a reason then you would be somebody else. So what’s the point in being all self-loathing? Yes, people do bad things, she’s done more than her fair share of bad things in her life, but if you aren’t willing to first grant yourself forgiveness it’s likely that no one else will either. Now she’s not saying that someone should be able to kill someone and walk away with a clean conscious, but she does think that people should be more tolerant of their own mistakes and beat themselves up over it all less. If people didn’t have flaws they’d hardly be human. Everyone has their faults no matter how perfect they may seem.
Now while it may not seem like a personality trait at first it certainly is a significant part of who she is. There is absolutely no doubt about it, Serena Chevey is a complete klutz. She’s forever tripping over this or that or knocking over something or something else like that. She’s always been lacking in the grace department, even when she was a little girl she was quite clumsy. The first time that she stood up and started trying to walk she stumbled, fell, and knocked over a priceless vase in her living room. When she was crawling she continuously banged into anything and everything generally headfirst. Now that she can actually walk it’s only gotten worse. She would probably be a great deal less clumsy if she actually stopped and walked calmly and paid more attention to her surroundings, but that wouldn’t be Serena’s style. She’s always running from place to place at top speed and therefore doesn’t have the time to see potential tripping dangers. Instead she discovers them when she crashes into them. But that’s life and she doesn’t mind the various bruises and cuts that constantly cover her body from various accidents. It makes her tough, she claims. Besides in a crowd you can always pick out her because the only other people with as many injuries on her body are probably seven year olds. Of course they’re also the only other ones who like to wear rainbow band-aids over their injuries as well. An optimist by nature Serena can always be counted on to find the good in almost anything. She’s got a knack for finding that shred of hope in and clinging to it like her life depends on it. No matter how bleak everything can seem she’s finds something good about it. Your brother just died in some freak accident? Well the good news is you don’t have to look at his ugly mug. No, she wouldn’t really say that. She’d come up with something more consoling than that though she probably would have thought that last bit. Probably Serena would remind you of all the good times you and your brother had together and how you’d see him after you die. She can even find something good to say about most people, she just doesn’t always choose to say those good things about them. If given the chance she could probably find something nice to say about her worst enemy, but more than likely she’d prefer not to focus more on how much she hates them than the redeeming qualities they might have.
Despite the way it may seem at times she generally has good intentions. Okay, obviously when she’s pushing people’s buttons that’s not very well-intentioned, but when she’s not doing that then she typically means well. When she isn’t in an ornery mood then she actually gets a get deal of satisfaction out of helping other people with whatever they need help with. See, she likes to see a little more happiness in the world and a smile plastered on their faces. This can be seen in times like when it was one of her closest friend’s birthdays and Serena, aged nine, decided to bake a cake for them. However she ended up burning the cake so badly that her oven nearly caught fire and all the smoke alarms in her house were going off. But her thoughts were in the right place, the execution was just a little sloppy. Or rather, clumsy as is typical of her. Stuff like that happens often (though not as often involving fire and severely burnt cakes) in which she tries to do good and ends up messing it up somehow. It’s just one of those endearing qualities about her that make you want to give her a big hug after she screws up and is upset over it. Part of the fact that things never seem to go her way could be that she seems to be a magnet for trouble. Even when she isn’t looking for it trouble seems to creep up on her and envelopes her. Perhaps because of her inquisitive nature that can’t be suppressed and a thirst for adventure trouble inevitably finding her can only be anticipated. Of course, some of the time she does go seeking out trouble simply for amusement. But if someone goes looking for trouble half the time then it might only be expected that trouble comes and finds them when they aren’t chasing it. Plus with a mouth and an attitude like hers Serena seems to only stir up more trouble where there was previously none. Ah well, at least it’s always a rush to try and wiggle out of a sticky situation so she really can’t complain. What kind of life would she have without her oldest and best friend mischief after all? Things would be rather dull without at least a little of it in her life. Lucky for her in this day and age there’s plenty of trouble to be had for anyone who so much as steps out their front door. Besides, adversity builds character, no?
Though she does a lot of things that would suggest otherwise in that chest of hers beats a heart made of gold. Well, perhaps not gold, but as close to gold as you can get while still caring about yourself too. The point is that this is the place from which all those aforementioned good intentions come from. Serena is truly a caring person underneath it all; just she’s not always sure how to express these sorts of feelings. Definitely she has gotten better at this in her lifetime though. For the most part she’s able to show people her softer side though a few instances have arisen in which she found herself not sure how to go about it. But really she’s the kind of person who if they saw a couple of puppies on the sidewalk she’d take them all home and love them. Yes, really buried underneath everything she’s a big old softie. When someone asks for her help she has a hard time refusing them no matter how much to she wants to. Of course, generally she doesn’t want to not help people every other minute because she does have a life, but she probably couldn’t even tell her worst enemy no if they came to her on their knees. Well, maybe she could say no to her worst enemy. But her compassion is more than likely a problem She just can’t think of a possible way to amend it and she really does like to see the joy in people’s expressions after she’s done good for someone.
As loud people generally are she’s a very social person. Yes, she does like her solitude from time to time, but for the most part she’d rather be with people whose company she enjoys. Serena is the type of person who could probably make a friend wherever she went even if it meant the person was only her friend because she’d followed them around talking to them until they finally gave in and couldn’t help but find her amusing at the very least. Humans are social creatures after all hence why towns and cities were formed. Yes, Serena thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and talking to them and making friends and all that jazz. New people are fun and interesting and full of things that she could learn from them. Why would she not want to meet all of them that she could? She has no problem with walking up to a total stranger and striking up a conversation with them. Taking initiative and shyness have never been problems for her which probably works in her favor. Once she feels as though she can call a person her friend they’re in for a treat. Well, some of the time they’ll wish they’d never met her probably, but the utter loyalty that she gives to people that she cares for is more than enough pay-off for having to put up with all of her shit. They are the ones who get lavished with the love and affection. Messing with her friends is like messing with Serena herself only probably a thousand times stupider. See it’s bad enough when you screw with her, but like most people when you screw with the people she holds dearly there’s gonna be a price. It just so happens that she sent a couple of her friend’s ex-boyfriends to the nurse after they decided they’d be funny and hurt her friends. As she befriended anyone and everyone, even in high school she often had younger year buddies that would run to her when they were getting picked on by older kids and she’d deal with the bullies. It was a well-known fact that you didn’t mess with people that she cares about because she was not one to take it lightly. Her friends don’t even have to ask her to come to their rescue though, she’s more than happy to do so without being asked or even when she’s been told not to interfere. Hey, she’s a little overbearing, but she just wants to prove her devotion to those she cherishes and make sure no harm ever comes to them.
The thing people need to realize about her is that logic plays very little part in her life. She doesn’t think things through at all and certainly rationality is the last thing on her mind. Just because the laws of physics say that she can’t do something doesn’t mean that she won’t still try it. If she gets an idea in her head and people advise her against it she’ll still try to do it anyway. Impossible is not a word that she’s familiar with. When making a decision she certainly isn’t one to sit there and weigh the pros and cons. Instead she goes with the first idea that pops into that head of hers. She has her opinions and her thoughts and it doesn’t matter if they disagree with every law of the universe because they’re hers and therefore she believes them and consequentially because they are hers they must be right. You can disprove her theories about everything in the world a trillion times and she’ll still stand by them. Serena’s never cared about what other people say or do, when she’s decided on something it is absolutely that way and there’s no swaying her. Facts are meaningless to her because she’s knows what she knows and she wouldn’t be at all concerned if she was the only person in the universe who agreed with her thoughts or could even follow them. It makes sense in her mind. Some people might call the fact that she’s willing to stand by her opinions through anything bravery. It is not debatable that she possess this quality, it’s of absolute certainty. However being brave doesn’t mean that she’s not ever afraid because that’s ridiculous. Everyone is afraid at one point in their life of something. Serena has been afraid in her life; she’s still gets scared even at this point in her life. But having courage means never letting that fear show, it’s doing what you have to in the face of that fear. True valor can only be seen when a person is truly afraid, sure, there are glimpses of bravery when a person isn’t afraid, but that’s mostly just for show. False bravery, Serena calls it. She’s got an abundance of that as well, but she’d like to think that she possess some of the real kind too. Most people she associates with would agree with that statement too. She draws on her optimism to give her that courage and takes comfort in knowing that she’s doing something good for the world. It’s what keeps her from backing down and running and hiding away from everything. Besides, she knows there are few people in the world that are willing to take the stand that she is and quitting would be a crime.
Always she has been one to tell it like it is. Serena doesn’t need fancy words (though she knows quite a few and they do occasionally slip the in) to get her point across. She believes that people can identify more with simple words and therefore they have more power. Like her father she may not be the most articulate thing on the face of the planet but when the occasion calls for it she can make those simple words carry more weight than anyone thought possible. But when she talks she spares no one’s feelings, she doesn’t leave out the uncomfortable details, she doesn’t try to dress things up to make them nicer and easier to cope with. Essentially she fails to see the point in censorship. It’s the truth, why hide from it? You have to face it eventually. She’s blunt, no other way to put it. The words form in her head and seconds later they’re spilling from her mouth. It’s definitely caused problems for her before when she’s flinging hard truths into people’s faces and they don’t want to face them, but she could care less. If she was in denial of something she would want people to make her face it. The world would be a better place if everyone was more frank like she was, at least in her opinion. At times her bluntness is more like unnecessary rudeness, but it's only with people who deserve it. She can be a downright bitch to the people she hates. Unfortunately she is one of those people who is ruled by emotion. She’s always the one to follow her heart and unfortunately because of that she’s moody as they come. See her mother always frowned upon open displays of emotion viewing them as weakness and interference so she’s never tried to keep her feelings in check. When she’s happy, she lets the world know, when she’s angry, everyone around her can feel it, and when she’s upset you can tell by that look in her eyes. However even she does have her limits and puts her foot down when it comes to crying. The whole live by your emotions thing doesn’t always turn out so well for her; many people can’t handle all her ups and downs. Her emotions are frequently extreme so she’s either very happy or very pissed or very upset, she can’t ever seem to just settle in a happy medium. But whatever, that’s her and it makes everything more alive, life’s for living and you’re only living it fully if you feel alive, which she always does.
HISTORY >> One thousand years ago, there lived a kingdom and a people on Earth’s moon. They were quite peaceful and were a part of the Silver Millennium. The King having died many years before, it was his wife Queen Serenity who took over and ruled the land and she did so with a fair and gentle heart. Her daughter was nearly her exact duplicated with pale milky soft skin, a naturally slender figure, and the longest and softest blond hair. This daughter of the Queen’s was an only child and was named after the Queen. She kept her daughter by her side nearly always, teaching her how the kingdom worked so that one day she’d take over. Young Serenity was known well by those closest to her as a daydreamer and boy did she dream. She dreamt of blue skies, magnificent oceans, exotic animals, and then of course, humans. Although the Lunarians were far more superior to the mortals, it was an unspoken rule that the two races did not communicate with one another except for the annual meeting between the royal families. The meeting lasted only a week and during that time, the rulers would discuss important matters which affected both themselves and each other. Ever since she was a girl, Serenity attended these meetings and always looked forward to them, despite what most Lunarians sold about humans. On the moon it was a common belief that humans were reckless and unwise, always looking for a reason to go to war. Serenity knew different. While Queen Serenity spoke in private to Earth’s King and Queen, the younger royals were left to themselves. Serenity had no brothers or sisters but Earth had two princes. The two boys didn’t speak to her at first, simply staring at her in confusion and curiosity. Having been taught to be kind to all, the Moon Princess was the first to break the silence and her simple “hello” was all it took to put a stop to all the silliness.
As the years passed and Serenity continued to grow, she became closer to Earth’s two princes, eventually developing feelings for Endymion, the eldest. He was several years her senior but they became lovers, no one but Serenity’s guardians knowing about their relationship. Slowly, they fell in love and planned to get married. That’s when things turned for the worse. Queen Beryl discovered a way to escape the Negaverse and sent her fiercest warriors to the Moon Kingdom. Queen Serenity imprisoned the creatures inside her imperium silver crystal and sent them to Earth. Her energy was drained and the Kingdom was destroyed. With what little energy she had left, Queen Serenity sent her daughter and her court to Earth where they would be safe.
Many centuries later, a girl was born. She was blue-eyed and had blond hair, and no one seemed to notice that there was something different about her...
Young Serena Genevieve was really Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom reborn, and no one was the wiser. A small town outside of Paris, France named Rouen was where the reincarnated princess was born. Her biological parents were Seraphine Marie and Piotr Kazimir. Seraphine was born in France on the countryside and worked at the local school as a teacher. Piotr was a Russian immigrant who was the editor of a do-it-yourself magazine. The newlyweds raised their daughter to the best of their abilities, turning Serena into the vivacious child she once was. Serena had a big heart and a playful spirit but she tired out her parents with her many temper tantrums and sobbing fests. She was an only child for many years and her parents spoiled her. They weren’t terribly wealthy but they were comfortable. Serena’s parents loved making their daughter happy and so they didn’t realize it when they gave her too much attention or too many gifts. As she approached her fifth birthday, great news came to the family. Seraphine was pregnant again. After receiving the news, the mom to be decided to leave her job so that she could be there for both Serena and the baby growing inside of her.
Serena made her way to elementary school shortly after but it wasn’t easy. It wasn’t that she wasn’t a bright kid because she was, but rather that she was such a brat. It wasn’t her fault, sort of, but it certainly didn’t help her getting along with the other kids and listening to her teachers. Having spent the first few years of her life with her every wish being granted by her parents, Serena was used to being the boss. She definitely had trouble adjusting after being booted off her royal throne. It came with time however... After a couple parent teacher meetings anyway. She was forced back a year however after a year spent in the hospital. The doctors had thought she had a tumour in her brain and started chemotherapy right away. As it turned out, they had made a mistake. Oh yeah, little Serena wasn’t too pleased with that so much. Soon enough though, the young princess had bigger things to deal with, like her new brother. His name was Samuel and unlike his sister, he had brown eyes and brown hair, like if he and Serena weren’t even related. While her parents paid their attention on their newborn son, Serena focused all of her frustration and jealousy on something else. Her parents had paid for soccer lessons over the summer and so she put all of her energy into being the best. She wanted praise from her parents and though she tried her very best, that was the summer she discovered her talent for uncoordination. After a lengthy chat with her mother and many hours spent with her brother, Serena accepted the fact that she wasn’t the only object of her parents’ affections anymore. Sure her and her brother were destined to fight for a decade or so but hey, nothing’s perfect. By the time the Moon Princess reached the age of ten, she had learned how to get along with others. Her colourful spirit quickly reappeared and despite Serena’s lack of attention during classes, her mood had lifted as she started new friendships. Serena reached puberty three years later. If anyone asks you if you’d like to be reborn after death, don’t do it unless you’re especially brave. Going through puberty once is hard enough and this was Serena’s second run. Her anxiety and awkwardness lasted a year and some, a painful experience for all involved. However, when it was all over, it was like everyone around her had changed completely overnight without her noticing. Her mother was full of advice which was probably wise but Serena was too embarrassed to listen; her father began searching through her things and interrogating her daily; her friends hadn’t gotten there yet so they weren’t sure how to act; the entire male student population at her junior high school had lost most of their ability to speak or make coherent thought. Maybe it was for the best that Serena wasn’t sure what on Earth was happening to everybody...
Serena tended to be fairly gaga over boys, even as a girl. Back then of course they would run away screaming “cooties” but it was as if she had sprouted antlers. Her natural reaction was anger of course, like all other things that drove her nuts. She blew her top and scared all of her classmates away, accusing them of staring at her and making her feel like a freak. The blonde ran off crying and spilled everything to her mom. She told her daughter that people might be looking at her differently from then on because she was turning into a young woman. Serena turned beet red from the whole thing but it helped in the end. She recovered after several weeks of wearing baggy clothes. no need to say goodbye everything else NAME/ALIAS >> anna ACCOUNT CUSTOM TITLE >> ROLEPLAY EXPERIENCE >> four years HOW YOU FOUND US >> Sailor Moon Top 20 OTHER CHARRIES >> n/a OTHER >>
