the plot

Upon first glance, one might see merely an innocent, fair, naive young thing just beginning to understand life when they look at Mandi Harkins. But another glance might reveal the pain and suffering she has endured, and another the many hardships she has already seen in her short lifetime. For one who has lost so much, and has lacked love and warmth for the past several years, she does fairly well for herself, keeping a level head and keeping herself out of things she knows she shouldn't be into. She can take care of herself, this much is certain, and she can be rather cold and cautious around those she doesn't know well, or doesn't trust. But despite the front she puts up, she DOES have her soft side, and deep down she really just needs to be loved. Its just a matter of her allowing anyone to get close enough to do so.

five words to describe our relationship: mentor, protective of, partner in crime, confidant, emotional support

tell all!: Soo without spoiling too much, haha... obvs., Mystic and Mandi are close, being soldier and guardian, and seeing as Mystic is really the only 'family' she has (aside from the scouts), she trusts him and few others. Mystic respects her for her amazing dedication to their mission, but at the same time wishes she could just loosen up and be a normal girl and have a normal life once in awhile... he worries that her extreme dedication is almost detrimental to her.
