Status of the Forum

Hopefully this topic can help out the forum in some way. Right now we can talk about the current status of the board and things you would like to see changed or added. Currently the Battle Arena and Duelist League sections have been emptied....still haven't gotten a full season out of it. Currently I believe a good bet to spark membership is to go ahead with Espoir, and to go around dueling other forums. If we do well it might promote interest in our forum. I'm willing to put forth some effort on my part to see this board alive again.

If you guys think we can bring this board back to life then I'm all ears for suggestions on how.

I've removed RPG Inferno as it's not very compatible with Mozilla Firefox, and several people use it. Added in the custom profile fields in its place. I suggest cleaning up your sig if you've used it, sorry for the inconvience. Working on the custom profile fields again, think it suits our purposes better.

I dont know what will bring back the forum, but i guess i can post alittle more, and ask some friends to join.
Hmm, another suggestion, maybe try making DC, like, more then just a yugioh forum, seeing as, many of the older members are starting to lose some/all interest in yugioh. Its just a suggestion. Like for example Yugioh/Final Fantasy. Thats just an example, you could probly have a poll or something on what the other topic could be if you desided to do that.
Also, you could like, start your RPG up again, it was cool.

I like the not only YGO Forum idea. Maybe convert it into a general forum if nothing else works. (I have alot of experience with general forums, contact me on AIM if interested) Other than that, idk.

Anyway, as for ideas, the best way to get people is to do the following:
1. Buy a domain name and link it to these forums, you don't have to buy space.
2. Spend 5 bucks to remove the banners.
3. Duel with other forums, and beat them to a pulp.
4. Retrieve your older, loyal members.
5. Invent a time machine to speed up time to the summer, where free time roams free.
6. Invent something that people will benefit from. A service. I once thought of a Card Trading business, charge a buck from each person to switch the cards after they send them to you, and then you send them to the other people. You'd make a lot, and people would come to the site. That would involve buying a server, which are pretty cheap at http://www.lypha.com which is what we use. 8 bucks a month for a year, you can pay less for two years (7 bucks a month or something, but for two years). Great deal.

This is just a middleman service offered at many trading sites.. It's a good way to help traders from getting ripped off..

Maybe all the site needs is some visual stimulation.. something that catches your eye when you hit the link..

Well, the legend is back, ive tried helping out before, hasnt went too well, but I can try to be as active as possible.

Why not toil around with skins, or possibly a new banner, or something. o_o; It's like nothing at all has changed here since the last time I was on, last year. Affiliate with more reliable people, other forums, not just topsites and the like. Spread the word on other forums, I've found that many have an advertisement section, or if that's not an option, make some flashy sig with a million links to DC in it?! >___> I'uhno, just trying to help.

So does anyone still play cards?

I would, but there's no one to play against, so I just keep my deck sitting there 'til I find an interesting duel.

i still duel as well, not a person who can match me still...
