FLCL

yeah you should have expecting this seeing as i have an flcl fan fic, the name Naota (the main character of FLCL if you dont know) and be allways seeming to say "yes i like FLCL"
so anyhow lets do this!:
first off, the whole story line is goofy and random but somehow manages to stay on a thin plot line. the story takes place in a city called Mabase, where a kid named Naota, who is 12 years old, lives. the city is boring and i quote Naota when i day this "nothing amazing ever happens here". so he and his highschool friend Mamimi, a girl who is ... not necisarily spacey, but she tends to be... strange... and she is atticted to video games. as they walk down the Mabase City bridge The Space alien (who looks human) Haruhara Haruko hits naota with her vespa mophed. and thats where the story begins!

pros and cons
PROS:
Very funny, and addicting it still gets me cholked up everytime i watch the last episode (no romance. i am not like that ><)
it would apeal to those sifi / robot/ cat lover/ slow BUT FAST anime lovers
and yes cat lovers would be apealed by this since there is like a ton of cats crammed into this short series.

CONS!:
The Series is only 6 episodes long. 6, yeah.. 6. not a magical number...
the series is a drop end last episode, meaning that it leaves alot to be hoped for.

out of all i rate this anime a 9.6/10

MAKE MORE FLCL GINAX!

umm-- FLCL is an OVA not an anime series-- thats why it is only 6 episodes long... and while I agree its very nice- it ended-- no need for more That seems to be the biggest problem with anime these days- when it ends it ends- you cant really do anything about it- you have to be in Japan to do anything about it-- and you have to be a huge crowd of fans screaming for more... which rarely happens and actually works...

i got a group.. but no money to ship us all to japan... ><
but i dont really think of it as an OVA its a different series of its own. it dosent relate to any of there other shows they have made exept for easter eggs. (ie: south park immitations)

OVAs have nothing to do with other stories-- yes sometimes they are a finally to an anime- like Love Hina Agian- but most of the time they are completely independant or even start the animes. Examples include, 3x3 Eyes, All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku-Nuku, Oh! My Goddess, etc- now while 2 of the examples are animes now, the OVA came first- and later a series was made of it.

Dont get the idea in your head that OVAs are like Movies of an anime that has already been created. FLCL is an OVA.

I dont really know alot of anime, only ones i liked were "Love Hina" (the comics) and "Air"(the series).
Im gona try to find "FLCL", i hope it isnt a short for another name else i cant find it -.-

well... its kinda two different names...
FLCL, or fooly cooly, but either will work when looking for episodes.
