FORUM RULESLAST UPDATED MARCH 24 2009
+ OUT OF CHARACTER RULES+ RATING This website is rated PG 13. Swearing is allowed in moderation,
but if a staff member asks you to tone it down please oblige. Mature content is permissible in
small amounts with warnings. No one is born in the other side, nor does anyone who
has been there less than a hundred years die a second time. Thus, there is no pregnancy.
+ AVATARS AND SIGNATURES Neither avatars nor signatures are mandatory,
but they are recommended. Possible avatar sizes are 150 x 200 px, 150 x 150 px, or
100 x 100 px (we prefer the first one). If you have a face claim, you must use that face
claim in all of your character-related graphics. Signatures must not exceed 500x200
pixels. This rule is strictly enforced. Violating signatures will be removed by me. The
maximum signature character limit is 2000 pixels, but please do not use more than four
images in your signature f or bandwidth purposes.
+ LITERACY This site, whether in-character or out-of-character, is literate. No
chat/net/l33t speak. We all make typ-os, but no deliberate misspelling. You know
the difference between to, too, two and 2.
+ RESPECT Please use common sense. Don't flame people or start fights. If you
do, you're in trouble. Be respectful. We will warn you if you're crossing the line.
+ APPLICATION GUIDELINES+ THE OTHER SIDE You may only play characters who have died and now live in
the other side. No alive characters can be played. You can, however, power play some
of these characters when you post if necessary.
+ APPLICATION FORM Please feel free to edit the format of the form as long as
you include all of the information there. You have a week to post an application.
If you register and don't post anything by then, your account will be deleted.
+ NAMES Please register with your character's first and last names (middle name
optional), properly capitalized. (i.e. Harry Potter or Harry James Potter) Please post your
application with the last name first, capitalized, and the first and middle names properly
capitalized after (i.e. POTTER, Harry James). Administrators will change this format if you
post incorrectly.
+ ACCEPTANCE Please do not roleplay until your application is accepted. You
may post a relationship thread and reply to the claims, however.
+ CHARACTER LIMITS There is no limit to the number of characters you may have,
as long as you keep all of them reasonably active. Try to keep the ratios relatively intact.
If you have more than two characters, at least one of them must be male. You must make a
new account and a new application for your new character.
+ CHARACTER AGE The minimum age for a character is eleven years old (some canons
might be exceptions. Characters do not age on the other side. If your character is
between eleven and seventeen, they will likely be enrolled in Hogwarts.
+ FACE CLAIM You do not have to have a face claim. If you do have one, however,
you must use it in all related graphics. If you are using a face without having claimed it,
and someone else claims it, you may no longer use that face.
+ OUT OF CHARACTER RULES+ WORD COUNT There is no specific word count minimum on this site. However, please
post at least a paragraph (six sentences minimum). Of course you can do way more. There is
no arguing with a solid 850 word post. However, do not respond to 800 word posts with
200 word posts, and vice versa. The first post in a roleplay thread determines the
approximate length of all of the rest of the posts in the thread.
+ MATURE CONTENT This content is acceptable in moderation. Please put a warning
in the topic description if you plan to have mature content in this thread or if mature content
is possible. Mature threads without warnings will be locked until the thread starter agrees
to put a warning in place.
+ IN CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS If a character hates you in the roleplay, that
does not mean the person hates you in real life. Let's pretend we're mature individuals, eh?
+ ROLEPLAY TITLES Include the status of your roleplay thread in the title or
description, i.e. [OPEN] or [RESERVED]. Roleplays can have as many people as you, the
creator of the thread, want, from two to ten or more.
+ AND MOST IMPORTANTLY Have fun guys! Remember, this site is supposed to be
fun. That's why you joined. Keep it that way.
