in the living world, Harry Potter has become the Boy Who Won.
but here on the other side, wizards, witches, and muggles from years past welcome some new arrivals.
among them is Lord Voldemort.
and he's not happy.
in fact, he's quite powerful even here in this afterlife.
but he's not unmatched.
enter the New Order of the Phoenix, led by Albus Dumbledore and the Potters, and supported by many.
even the Muggles are becoming aware of some sort of turmoil.
Voldemort's death wasn't the end of the wars.
actually, it was just the beginning.
+ NECESSARY INFORMATION here is everything you'll ever need to know about YOU MAKE ME RADIATE ! also, you're going to have to read all of the threads in here before you venture forth and enter the other side. if you don't, it'll be pretty obvious, and you want to sound knowledgeable, correct? we thought so.
+ FROM THE STAFF the staff of YOU MAKE ME RADIATE ! are busy, friendly people. and they love talking. some of that talking will happen here. if any members of the staff feel they have an important announcement, they'll post it here. additionally, activity checks will happen here about every six weeks. make sure you read any of the threads in here, even the old ones. it'll keep you in the know.

+ TAKE A BOW at YOU MAKE ME RADIATE ! we have a member of the moment, a character of the moment, and a thread of the moment spotlight. they are adjusted independent of each other at various intervals. nominations for any of the spotlights may be made at any time, because the spotlights can change at any time! so make your nominations here, and take a look at who's been featured recently.
+ CHARACTER REGISTRATION once you've familiarized yourself with the rules and inner workings of YOU MAKE ME RADIATE ! head over here and create your character. we have no limit on the number of characters you may have, but you must make a new account for each character.
+ THE ROSTER once your application has been accepted, it will be moved here and locked. we recommend looking at the applications of the characters you're roleplaying with so you're familiar with their histories and personalities.
+ ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION here, you can sign up for additional benefits at YOU MAKE ME RADIATE ! that your character may find useful. all of them are optional.
+ PLOT PAGES plot pages are completely optional at YOU MAKE ME RADIATE ! although they are recommended and can be quite fun. come in here and set up a little something, so your character can gain friends, enemies, lovers, family members, or something else equally as exciting.
+ WANTED OR NEEDED two different sorts of threads can be posted here. the first is a specific request, for example "I need someone to play my character's sister Mary". the second is a general request, for example "I need someone to volunteer their character to be my character's friend, or to take place in this subplot." post your request threads in here, and come help others fill their requests.
+ COMMUNICATIONS in the other side, there are many ways to communicate. many of them are the same as before. muggles use cell phones and instant messaging, and witches and wizards use owls. also included is electronic communication, a sort of method that occasionally works when contacting the living.
+ THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC the ministry of magic in the other side is very similar to the one in the living world. a huge building with multiple, expansive floors, magical elevators and paper airplanes everywhere greets visitors to the ministry campus. those who were officials or aurors before need not train again to resume these posts on the other side. the ministry is dedicated to good, although sometimes they may be misled - or intentionally misleading.
+ HOGWARTS the people of the other side have recreated Hogwarts to educate the school-aged children who enter their world. this school is much smaller than its counterpart in the living world, the education taking place within a castle about half the size of the actual Hogwarts castle. children who die before they reach the age of seventeen can apply for a magical license in the other side if they complete their magical training at Hogwarts.

+ 18 AMARANTHINE PLACE this is the home of James and Lily Potter. more recently, it has become the headquarters of the New Order. the house is rather large and characterized by bright windows and a pale blue color scheme. flower arrangements are also commonplace, most of them in beautiful crystal vases. the door is impenetrable except to people authorized by James and Lily to enter - notably, those affiliated with the Order.
+ NEWTHART newthart is a smorgasbord of shops and restaurants, from lively taverns to elegant bookstores to perhaps a joke shop here or there. it's located near Hogwarts and is a slight bit reminiscent of Diagon Alley. especially during the winter months, witches and wizards frequent the area. a couple of buildings have been recreated from the living world, such as the leaky cauldron.
+ THE ELYSIAN PARK actually, the name's kind of misleading. this park does not, in any way, rival the Elysian fields. it's just a park with some shabby playground equipment, a couple of benches, and an old Quidditch pitch that's bewitched to look like a soccer filed to any Muggle. actually, the Quidditch pitch is pretty awesome - it's the only free public one around and it's walking distance from the Ministry. often, you can see a few Ministry people, or other wizards, fooling around out here with a Quaffle, some Bludgers and of course, a Golden Snitch.

+ RESIDENCES the homes of the inhabitants of London, here on the other side, are located here, each in sub boards. you can claim your home in the residence claim.
+ VOLITION AVENUE this street looks rather unassuming. it's located on the far outskirts of London. however, even muggles stay away, and for good reason: the place is teeming with dark magic. death eaters love to congregate here, for whatever reason - it's almost like knockturn alley, but no one will save you here.

+ THE FOREST this forest is nameless. it's large, kind of shadowy, and there are a lot of urban legends surrounding it - it's home to a pack of bloodthirsty unicorns, for one, but anyone knows there's no such thing as bloodthirsty unicorns. right?

+ RESIDENCES the residences of all of the death eaters are located here. you can claim your home in the residence claim.
+ STARBUCKS 2349 ah, starbucks. muggles, for whatever reason, love congregating in these little coffee shops. and this particular starbucks offers free wi-fi and dozens of tables, as well as fresh, delicious coffee. it's a muggle hotspot for several reasons. there are several other starbucks shops located around the city, but this one's the most popular by far.
+ ASHBURY AVENUE this is one of the main streets of London, one where mostly muggles can be seen perusing the window shops or hurrying down the busy road in whatever car is in fashion. one thing about the other side is that money isn't as important - prices are low and cash frequently shifts hands. it's just the way of thing here, and it's especially evident along this road, where people are always buying various trinkets.

+ CITY CENTER here's where the city government of the muggles is located. people are often seen here trying to get tours of the buildings or just milling around the monuments - there are some gorgeous statues of famous citizens around here. however, wizarding members are aware that death eaters have been spotted in this area, and the dark mark is often seen, hidden from muggle view.

+ RECREATION CENTER this is one huge sporting center, with basketball, soccer and tennis venues, a rock climbing wall, weight lifting rooms, treadmills, individual courts, a nearly olympic-sized swimming pool, and two ice rinks for hockey games and free skate sessions. muggles of all ages and ability levels are often seen working out, training, or having fun in this building.

+ SOUTHEAST CENTRAL MALL the name of this place drives certain people nuts - how can a mall be both southeast and central? who really knows? but there is an assortment of different stores here, most of them interesting. lots of muggles buy clothing and food here. there's a bunch of fast food, some kiosks selling strange items ranging from crocs to smoothies to chocolate milk, and some interesting window displays.
+ GENERAL CHATTER this is your main out of character board. come in here and talk about anything PG13. we'll listen to your complaints, solve your problems, help you with homework, or muse on the latest sick fangirl drama. in other words, whatever you want to talk about goes here.
+ GAMES yeah, they're pretty pointless and mildly stupid, but they're also fun. come in here and play those typical forum games, but only after you're done roleplaying!
