to have some sort of functioning roleplay boards, we need
need to have some rules. but i promise that we aren't too
lame, and that our rules aren't too bad. just read on so you
don't get yourself in trouble. ;D


out of character ?!
this is pretty simple. don't be stupid, don't be annoying, don't
be obnoxious. respect every single person on this site, whether
they are a guest, a member, or an administrator. if the admins
hear anything about disrespect on the board, we're going to be
pretty mad. and trust me, you don't want to see us mad. so let's
all play nicely, eh? if there does happen to be a disagreement,
take it elsewhere and handle it maturely, or else PM an admin
and we will take care of it.

DO NOT steal from SILVER LINING ! we will catch you, no joke. it's
not a very a nice thing to do and it's not that hard just to ask and
see if you can use something. more often than not, we'll say yes.
so just ask if you would like to use something from us. sheesh.


registering and applying ?!
when registering, please put your character's first, middle, and last
name in ALL CAPS. i just like the way it looks and i'm kind of
a freak about uniformity...sometimes. anyways, if you make a mistake,
it's not a big deal, we'll just change it. however, we would prefer to
waste our time doing other pointless things, so please spare us!

in order to apply, YOU MUST USE OUR APPLICATION TEMPLATE. don't
use your own, use ours. thank you. and please, post it in the right
section. if it's not done, post it in 'unfinished'. if it's done, just post
it right there in the auditions section. DON'T post in pending, that's
for the admins to do. and definitely don't post in denied, which i
don't know why you would want to. 0.o and please don't post in any
other areas until you've been accepted.

roleplaying ?!
okay, so we are essentially a roleplaying site, no? so please, don't
just plot and do owls. you NEED to actually THREAD. and when you
do post these wonderful posts, make sure they are at least 700
words. i know, i know, a word count?! but we are an advanced site
and we prefer to keep it that way. nothing against the below 700
word posters or anything.

make sure your posts (roleplay ones) are properly capitalized,
punctuated, and the words are spelled correctly. yeah, typos happen,
but not all the damn time. and not every other word. also, keep
things in third person and past tense. no first person and present
tense please. for example, a good sentence would be, "he slowly
walked up to the portrait, curious as to where it might lead him." a
bad example would be "i walk up to the portrait, curious as to where
it might lead me." no. that scares me. 0.o

and last but not least, no godmoding, powerplaying, etc. that's mean
and not very fun at all. don't know what this shit is? you should probably
leave. just sayin'. we are rated MATURE. sex, drugs, alcohol,
swear words, we love it all.


characters ?!
okay, there are no character limits. but you can only take on as
many as you can handle. if we notice that some of your characters
are becoming inactive, we will ask you to either get back on them,
or to tell us which ones to delete. make sure that not all your characters
are the same, because that's just weird. and also, for every two girls
make a boy. because we would prefer there be a penis to penetrate
every vagina.

gary stu and mary sue were not invited to the party, so if you are
thinking of inviting them, don't. perfect characters are just lame!

for face claims, please use celebrities. and DON'T plot according to
each other's face claims, because i really really hate that. just because
you have kristen stewart, does not mean your character needs to be
in love with robert pattinson. please, branch out.


graphics ?!
avatars cannot exceed 200x200, and your signatures better not
stretch my board. no inappropriate images in your graphics, you
know what the limit is. please make them somewhat pretty too.
if you need help, just go request some graphics on this site or on
caution or something. someone is bound to help you!
