"To the place I stashed the files you wanted of course." Mystique responded airily, disdaining giving Trade the advantage of concrete information.

What she did give the other woman though was a jolt as she recklessly pulled out of the lot and raced out onto to coastal road at high speed. The smirk turned a little wild as she floored the accelerator and caused the car to shoot forwards like a bullet.

"Tell me, what does it take to get you to drop that attitude?" The shapeshifter commented idly as she sent the car slashing around a corner.

"To the place I stashed the files you wanted of course."

Lorili was about to comment that she wanted a real answer but before she could, the car was peeling off from the parking lot of the beach and speeding onto the road. She braced herself as the woman drove so recklessly and her plan from earlier flashed across her mind. It would be easier to make it seem like an accident with how the woman was driving.

"Tell me, what does it take to get you to drop that attitude?"

Attitude?

"This isn't an attitude, this is just how I am." She replied, narrowing her eyes slightly.

"My, musn't you be the popular one then." Mystique remarked as they moved swiftly down the road. She was back to teasing her new ally, especially since she herself had written the book on being cold as a way of life. Though it might not have seemed that way, Trade was a woman after her won tastes, hard and merciless, totally pragmatic, even if she did seem to lack the subtelty of Mystique's approach. Now all that remained was for Mystique to decide if that meant she liked Trade or if she'd end up killing the other mutant to cut down the competition.

At the speed they were travelling at, it didn't take long for them to reach an isolated point on the coast, a small outcropping jutting into the ocean. There was nothing there but a few benches, a picnic table and a trash can. At first glance at least, Mystique had her escape plans in place of course. Coming to an isolated place with a mutant possessing such dangerous abilities as Trade would have been criminally stupid otherwise.

"Here we are." She said as she smoothly slipped out of the car. Sauntering over she retrieved a disk that was taped to the bottom of the picnic table and held it out to Trade. "And here you are. The encryption code is Mephisto, that should set you straight."

"My, musn't you be the popular one then."

"It's not my goal to be popular." Lorili quipped. "Popularity is the last thing on my list of priorities."

The more people she got in contact with and involved with, the more chance of there being a betrayal. Now why the hell would she want that? It was silly and too trusting. Lorili didn't think she had it in her to be either of those things. She hadn't been for a very, very long time. She couldn't even remember that far back.

When the car stopped, Lorili took in the sights. It looked unpopulated and almost untouched except for a couple of benches, a single trash can, and a picknick table. Was this a set up of some sort? She prepared to attack the woman but decided to wait for a couple of minutes... A couple minutes would be alright.... As the blonde left the car, Lorili got out as well and followed her to the picknick table. When the woman retrieved a disc and handed it to her, Lorili took it and slipped it into her back pocket.

"Thanks."

She might have had trouble trusting people but she had at least some manners.

"You're welcome." Mystique replied with a dry smirk. Now that the other woman knew who she was and there were no witnesses present the shapeshifter dropped the mask and the blond bikini-clad woman became Mystique dressed in her trademark white dress.

"Well, I believe that concludes out business, unless you have anything else to add?" The blue-skinned woman cocked her head to the side and regarded Lorili with open consideration. In all likelyhood the other woman would leave immediately, and there was little to be gained from pushing her. Not that the entertainment provided by baiting her further wouldn't have been enjoyable.

"You're welcome."

She hadn't expected the woman to change like that, not having come across a shape-shifter before. Sure, she had heard about them, read up files on them but never actually met one.

"Well, I believe that concludes out business, unless you have anything else to add?"

Then, it came to her. She remembered seeing this blue woman before in the file...

"Mystique. That's your name, isn't it." She more of commented than asked.

Lorili didn't become any more defensive than she had been though. If anything, she relaxed ever so slightly as she had half an idea who she was dealing with.

"It's as good as any other." Mystique replied with a wicked smirk. There probably wasn't anyone still alive who knew her real name. Even Anna Raven was just a fake, though that came as close to being a name she cared about as any of her aliases.

"I'm curious, why do you want to kill your former employer's murderers?" Though it was a simple tactic and one that was unlikely to yield success, Mystique nevertheless tried suddenly changing tack in the conversation in the hopes of learning more about Trade. She was good enough to make it sound like an offhanded question, one she had little interest in. Her bored glance at her fingernails should be more than sufficient for that. "You hardly seem the type for crimes of passion." Which in some ways was a shame.

"I have my own reasons for wanting to kill him." Lorili stated, refusing to get too far into the conversation.

The woman knew enough about her already. Too much, actually. She didn't need to know any more than that. If anything, Lorili would have liked it if the blue skinned mutant didn't know anything about her.... but that wasn't the case.

"You hardly seem the type for crimes of passion." The woman added, looking at her nails in a bored manner.

"My kind has only one set pattern. And that is that we eventually end up killing someplace, sometime. So it shouldn't be a surprise that I'm planning on killing that man." She replied.

"Any other reasons that might be tied in with it aren't something for you to be worried about."

There, she had told her to not bother in trying to get the answer from her, more or less. If the redhead didn't get the hint, Lorili would be surprised. Surprised and annoyed.

"Well, I hope you end up satisfied. I do like to leave my customers happy." Or betrayed, but Mystique didn't really feel the need to point that one out. It would sour their oh so wonderful rapport.

Glancing out over the ocean Mystique decided that that would do for now. The point where baiting Trade no longer amused her had been reached, and all important information had been exchanged.
"I would say that concludes our business for now. Do have fun with your revenge. I'll be in touch."

With a small smirk she took a step backwards and then turned to leave.
"We'll be seeing each other again soon." She said over her shouldered as she unhurriedly sauntered away. "Oh,a dn I wouldn't use that car for too long. The owner might miss it."
