Celia wasn’t exactly sure he had believed her. “Well, I hope so. She is with you.” She says as she thought back. An age old battle began within side her. Her brother Chase had her mother’s powers, while her father had none.
This confused her the most. The males were the ones that passed down the mutant gene usually. Could her father have been a mutant.
“SO, what was the last thing you painted, Piotr Rasputin?” she asked with a smirk. Her hands were stuffed in her pockets. They had reached the garage.
Her eyes connected with his. She wanted to see his reaction. Her boots dragged against the floor as they walked inside.

“Well, I hope so. She is with you.”
Peter nodded a little, hoping the exact same thing...
“SO, what was the last thing you painted, Piotr Rasputin?”
Peter's shoulders stiffened... It wasn't a question many people asked, and he had never been comfortable talking about his work... It was such a private affair that he'd generally kept it from everyone around him, even those he cared about the most... He pondered the question for a moment, before sighing, answering...
"Siberian landscape... But it is not finished," He finished as they approached the jeep... He could feel her gaze trying to meet his own, and he met it, but only for an instant, he knew that there was far too much pain and loneliness in his eyes...

Celia’s gaze dropped. “Your homeland, right?” she asked tilting her head to the side. She felt pain inside her. The place she had called home once was so far away. “I bet it’s beautiful.”
She had been taken to Iceland last summer by a friend. They had spent three months there, and she had fallen in love with it. It was the most beautiful and peaceful place ever.
“I am sorry. I never meant to make you homesick.” She says gently placing a hand on his arm. “I know the feeling, and it sucks. When we get to my apartment, I’ll show you my sketches if you like.”
She hoped her invitations would cheer the big guy up.

Celia knew she had hit a sore spot. She knew what it was like to miss home. She had went with Gunnar to his homeland and fell in love with both. When she got back, she had to do damage control. She had come back alone. He had stayed. She knew it was going to be that way. It was always going to be that way. She was stuck in a cycle. She was going to go from one bed partner to another.
Commitment was something she had once, long ago. The fact that she was hurt so badly and watched as this man was being hurt the same way she was, it brought back memories of him.
“Maybe she’s not worth it? How do you know she is being as faithful to you as you are to her?”
They were just a few minutes from her apartment now. If he wanted, he could hold out and not answer.

“Maybe she’s not worth it? How do you know she is being as faithful to you as you are to her?”
Peter thought for a moment, wondering how to phrase his answer, wondering if he even knew the actual answer... He did know it, he realised... He knew it as sure as he knew that it was his role in life to be an x-man and to help the helpless, as sure as he knew that no matter how dark the night became, it would always be followed by the dawn...
"I have faith... Faith in her... That is all i need..."

"I have faith... Faith in her... That is all i need..."
Celia scoffed. Faith was something long lost to her. “Faith is not something I believe in. It does not help to believe in someone. They will stab you in the back. They all do. You have even stabbed some in the back. That is why I do not place my faith in anyone.”She remembered watching her brother as he disappeared. She was to bloody and beaten to stop him. . .to stop them.
“Here.” she says reminding him to turn left. “Second one on the right.”

"I? I don't understand..."
“Here."
“Second one on the right.”
Peter nodded, pulling up to her place... Switching off the engine, he climbed out of the large jeep, looking around, ready to transform and defend himself at a moments notice... He turned to Celia... "Lead the way..."
