"orange sherbert" she said distantly dropping a ten on the counter "biggest size you have please" she smiled in anticipation of the citrus flavored treat.

The attendant nodded and turned to Mike, asking, "And what would you like?"
Mike responded, "Moose Tracks, medium size bowl, please."
The attendant nodded and returned with a large bowl of orange sherbet and a medium bowl of Moose tracks. He then asked, "Anyone care for toppings?"

Inara just took her bowl and walked off to her usuall table and stared out the window trying to process the way things had turned out. It simply made no since. Her mother diddnt even associate with Mutants, let alone admit they exist, who could have she possibly pissed off.

Mike elected to skip any extra toppings and paid the bill. He then sat at the same table as Inara and said, "How are you holding up?" He sat close to her, wondering if she was going to take it well or break down. He looked at her, concerned about her well-being. After all, she just lost her mother due to a mutant attack. And he needed to find out who it was and soon.

she turned to him with a violent look in her eyes that could only be decribed as drop it, either way she spoke "my mother was a pompus, racist, b**** of a woman, and I am glad that she is gone. Drop the subject and stay out of my head and dont send telepathic messages about me without telling me. I may not be psychic but I am not stupid" anyone who wanst a idiot could tell it was weighing down on her.

"Don't worry, I'm not a psychic, if that's what you mean. I can only send out thoughts to the Professor. He constantly keeps tracks on all of us with his mind. Once he senses it, he can create a two-way conversation using our thoughts. Pretty impressive, really." He then took a bite of his ice cream and then said, "Anways, where do you want to go from here?"

"Well then the professor needs to mind his own business" she said half-heartedly while shifting the ice cream around in its bowl, stareing down at it as if she expected it to give her some kind of a answer to what the hell was going on

Mike sighed and said, "Maybe you feel that way now, but don't you want to get revenge at someone who hurt your family?" Mike paused for a moment and remembered his deceased wife, the one known as Carol. He looked down and remembered watching Apocaplyspe kill her with his own hands, making it look almost easy. Ever since that day, he felt he wanted to kill Apocalypse and put an end to his wrectched immortality once and for all. But, to do that, he knew it would need self-control and discipline, so he took a deep breath and said, "After all, it was an attack on a human. We really don't have all the details on what happened to cause her death."

she muttered something in japanese (that I know but simply dont feel like pushing into a coherent sentance XD) and looked him directly in the eyes, her voice oozeingwith her Siren powers "let it be, I dont want to talk about it"

Mike sighed and then said, "Okay, so where are you planning on going from here?" Mike sat back and enjoyed more of his ice cream as he anticipated her responce.

she sighed and whispered to herself "thats a good question" her urge to shop had been shot in the chest, and of course she was curious about what had befallen her mother, but now she felt as if her insides had gone numb, she diddnt care about muc hof anything. Plopping her head on the table right in front of mike she sighed "home would be nice"

Mike finished his ice cream and leaned back in the seat, saying, "Well, if you're ready to go, let me know. I'll take you back to the mansion."

Inara shook her head and sighed "Sorry mike but I can manage to get back to the mansion on my own, Traffic at this time would be hell anyway. Ill take the subway" she said standing and adjusting her hair
