Anywhere but nowhere (Open for now), I cant stand being bottled

"Finally a little shopping time!" inara had managed to get her hands on some loyalty money for someone using the melody to one of her songs on a car commercial and was about to blow most of it on a new wardrobe "WOOTAGE ITS TIME TO SHOP!"

((it's getting towards the end of the semester, where everything is piling up. I'll try to keep up with ya as much as possible.))

Mike sat in his Ford Thunderbird, looking around at all the shops in New York. Mike wasn't much for buying, but he sure did love to look. He also seen Siren around the area, which he called out to her, "Siren, I see you're taking advantage of this nice day to shop as well."

"I-NA-RA" she said with a wink "Siren is a Stage name" she laughed at the tiny joke and nodded "I found the absalutely tackyest purse I have EVER SEEN!" she gave a little squeel and everyone around her suddenly looked at her. even those who couldent have heard it "ehhheehhheh..." she blushed and pulled the purse out, a ninteen fifties looking handbag the size of someone's head in a bright pink color with orange polkadots "I had to have it"

Mike looked strangely awkward at Inara for the way she reacted to the purse she purchased. He then said, "Well, I guess whatever makes you happy. I guess some could probably get upset at me when I bought this car. So, you still going to be shopping around for a while?"

she gave a koy smile and nodded her head "yeah I got a nice big check and have every intention to blow it. Even though the professior suggested I hold onto it. I am in the process of...whats the legal term...well Of becoming a adult I forget the word. So I can get my money from my mom"

Mike looked to Inara and said, "Well, I suppose I can come along and join you. Can't have you spending all of that check in one place, now can I?" He drove along the street and found a parking spot nearby. He hopped out of the car and turned on his custom security system to match his powers. Those who dared to try and open it while it was on would be shocked with 20 megawatts of electricity, enough to stun them for some time. He then walked up to Inara and said, "So, where are we heading to next?"

she smiled "Arigatou" she stuck her tounge out through her teeth and gave a silly smile and headed on her way down town stopping dead in her tracks at a television store, where on the television screen a headline was being discussed "Starlet Julia Cross was killed today by a unknown mutant, her brain broiled in its own juices" inara looked terrified at the information "no..."

Mike looked at the television screen and seen Inara was concerned about what the news announced. He then asked, "Someone you know?"

"she is my mother" Inara heaves a sigh and shakes her head "but who did she piss off for this to happen..."

(really emotional Siren...)

"Oh my goodness," Mike said as he put his arm around her to comfort her. "I'm sorry." But, Mike began to wonder who would have caused such a thing to happen. He began to reach out in his thoughts to the Professor, hoping he would be able to shed some light on the situation.

The Professor, thankfully, was just scanning everyone to see if they were alright and did come across Mike's thoughts. He asked Mike, "I take it you want me to try and find out who could have done this to her?"

Mike replied in his thoughts, "Yes, that would be the best solution. We need to find out who did this to an innocent woman and why. I don't know how Inara's going to take this, but I'll keep an eye on her."

The Professor responded, "As you should. I will notify you when I find who could have done this."

Mike regained focus and then said to Inara, "Care to head back or continue on our shopping spree?"

pushing her slight saddness aside she grumbled "Why would I stop my shopping spree for that bitch" she said vulgerly, turning as soon as she felt a tear roll down her cheek "whoever did it did me a favor" Inara cared deeply about her mom and always wanted her mother's happiness and aproveal and understanding, that it seemed now would never happen "I need icecream"

Mike spotted a nearby ice cream shop when he asked Inara, "Care for some right now? My treat." He then impathically sent to the Professor, "Professor, it appears this is getting a bit to her. I'm going to try and get her mind off of it, but please find out who it is and soon."

she looked a Zeus "thats fairly rude" leaving her comment at that she walked along to the ice cream store. a distant look in her eyes and a half-hearted smile on her face.

Mike looked a bit bewildered at the moment, wondering where her flash of anger came from. He seen her walk to the ice cream shop, so he walked in behind her and up to the counter. The attendant behind the counter asked Inara, "So, what would you like today?"
