yeah, recommend an Anime to another user.

For the askers, tell what you like, and other users can recommend animes similar.

Ex:
I like HORROR ANIME!

Recommended:
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

Alright, here goes.

Looking for something new to watch. Favorite genres are mostly shonen and comedy, with a hint of romance/shoujo.

HERE's a pic of the series I currently have on my computer, so you have an idea about the type of stuff I watch. I have some other stuff on DVD as well, like FMA, Shonen Onmyouji, and The Third. I plan on watching Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann eventually. So anime similar to the ones I listed would be great.

And also, perhaps anything widely referred to or recognized that I've missed.

Okay I need some recommendations.

I'm looking for a short series (preferrably less than 25 episodes). I always enjoy great comedies such as CLANNAD and Lucky Star. But my favourites are always seinen dramas with much character development and more mature themes (such as those discussed in Gunslinger Girl or Elfen Lied).

As can be seen from my top 15 list.

1. CLANNAD
2. Death Note
3. Higurashi no Naku koro ni
4. Claymore
5. Lucky Star
6. Elfen Lied
7. Air
8. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
9. Myself ; Yourself
10. Fate/stay night
11. Code GEASS
12. Shakugan no Shana
13. Gunslinger Girl
14. Shuffle!
15. Kannazuki no Miko

While some of these are shounen action, I still find the themes they explore very interesting and the characters quite easy to become attached to (the first half of Death Note being a prominent example).

I like anime with a lot of action.. I can tolerate some ecchi, so long as its funny...

My favorites:
FLCL
Trigun
HIGURASHI 1&2
Deathnote
Haruhi

I am looking for series with lots of action .. I am thinking about getting Tsubasa Chronicles... But I would like some recommendations... (and If anyone likes horror anime, I could use some titles)

Jigoku Shoujo
Claymore

Sorry I can't recommend anything more than that. While I do like action, it's not my favourite aspect of anime. Therefore, I don't watch those kinds of shows unless they have a good meaning to them.

I'm looking for anime, manga, or translated visual novels with yandere or yangire in them. I've already seen the ones well known for having yandere, like Higurashi, School Days, and Shuffle!, and I've read Mirai Nikki, so I'm looking for ones that haven't been listed.

Perhaps check the raws to make sure it's a Yandere anime/manga. That way, if it's not, you won't have wasted time waiting for it...

Will do. Still seeking more yandere though.

Comedy

I don't mind school dramas too =3

I recommend watching D.Gray Man, Bamboo Blade and Kekkaishi if you like the same genres above =D

Is it necessary to have played Persona 3 in order to watch Persona: trinity soul and understand what is going on?

Also, still seeking more yandere. Shigofumi has one, but I still want more.

IMO not really. it's a plus, but I wouldn't say it's necessary, if anything it'll let you focus more on the story, and you wont find yourself asking questions like why aren't they using the Evokers to summon Persona's or where's the Hero from P3? (questions that are probably gonna be answered further into the series)
