Knights of Walpurgis


This is an alternative universe role play game. We're using the world JKR made, we're just changing it from 1980 on.

In May, 1980 a group of 'rogue Death Eaters' killed Voldemort, Horcruxes and all. It ended the First War, as it was just beginning in earnest. This one battle changed everything.

The Order of the Phoenix only lost one member during the war. Some Death Eaters survived the battle to walk free, or flee for another day. After their Lord died, the Death Eaters turned on each other, backroom deals were made, people tried, and many in Britain wanted to put the whole thing behind them. Others did not, so they waited and they plotted.

For others life went on. Harry and Neville were raised by their parents. Draco Malfoy was raised by his grandfather. Hermione Granger has more friends outside of Gryffindor then in. There is no Gryffindor Trio. Snape never joined the Order, but he did get exonerated. Regulus Black never died and is the current head of the Black family. Molly never lost her brothers Fabian and Gideon, and her children love having their uncles over. The Marauders were never torn apart by betrayal, and several are still friends. It's a very different world. Dumbledore stayed Headmaster though, but he's spending more time away from the castle this year. His summer has been very busy, you see....

Grindelwald's escaped.

In the spring of 1995 a group of dark wizards and witches, led by Bellatrix Black, broke him out of Nurmengard. The Death Eaters have been reborn with a new wizard at the helm, but he has his own agenda as well. He believes that Voldemort was destroyed by the very same people that defeated him. The ones who 'used' Albus against him. If he has to start the largest wizarding war in history for them to come forward so he can kill them, so be it.

Already witches and wizards from other countries are coming to the UK to fight for or against Grindelwald. Many fear what's going to happen this time. The man helped start World War II last time, what's he capable of this time around? Do those who took up arms last time even want to do so again? Will they be forced to? Will the new generation get swept up into battle? Will the 'rogue Death Eaters' who defeated Voldemort come to the wizarding world's defense, or are they on their own?

We are a literate, rp site that welcomes all levels of rp experience. Our word minimum is set at 100, to prevent one liners. We do comment on applications though, and will offer tips and ideas to expand on your character's biography. Decent characters are a must on our site.
