The raw livers really tasted great with sesame oil!!
Very grunchy and the horses are bred special as food meat in Kumamoto down in Kyushu. The grilled Kobe beef, needless to say, literally melt in your mouth and the aroma is heavenly-goes down great with cold sake!! The grilled rose beef is yet another unforgetable dish, just grilled slightly and they are real tender to the teeth!! Incidently, the yakiniku restaurant which we patronised in Sakai City costs less than our restaurant here in Malaysia!! The deep fried cutlets (Donkatsu) are another must try dish which you can never get in Malaysia. The nearest is in Singapore-the Donkichi restaurant in Takashimaya (4th floor) in Orchard Road and another branch in Suntec City (lower ground floor) The deep fried chicken is soft and tender and you can just bite through since it is boneless. The Anko fish liver is yet another experience-vey very soft and full of pungent taste. Ate some in Singapore some years ago but it tasted flat and hard. then the chef told me it was canned. And lastly, the preseved pork leg slices went down with red wine just like pearl dropping onto jade plates!! Sometimes when you are lucky, you can get basashi (raw horse meat) in Kinsuitei at the Tropicana Golf Club. I had them there twice before, although not so fresh and a little pricey, RM45 for 5 slices, size slightly larger than a 50 cent coin. -------------------- The only way to make your life longer is not shortening it-so quit smoking!!

Well, no worries.
The meat is still fresh (although not as fresh) or else it cannot be consumed raw. Once while I was there (at the club), the lady told me is still fresh but with some slight colour change. I then jokingly told her whether I can have it at half the price. She instantly agreed. This goes to show there are not so many fans here in Malaysia. -------------------- The only way to make your life longer is not shortening it-so quit smoking!!
