I dunno if this goes here or not. How do you take pics of the light streaks?

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j115/izso/ch027.jpg

In my case, I got the light bulb pic but I want the "aura" or the "star-effect" of the light like how people normally see a lightbulb. Er.. u know what I mean?

light streaks? a prolonged shutter speed is enough.

what rock is talking about is giving the picture a zooming in effect.

I think it's the star filter that I'm looking for. I want star filter. Heh

Speaking of which, do you guys remember the infra-red and night-vision Sony cam? How does that work here?

I'm guessing Jellyikan uses a 'Star filter' to create such effect?
eg: Star filters

waaaaa..... sinister... lidat oso can? laugh.gif

halo: kekeke... im not using any starfilter oso 10.gif both shots were taken with my compact. with a fujinon lens, you can easily achive the star effect by default even if u let your aperture wide open. in fact almost all finepix models with fujinon lens can shoot star easily even with aperture wide open 10.gif

izso: u can do the star effect with your digicam if u can manually adjust your aperture. just put the F-value to as big as your cam can take ie: f/8 or f/10 and shoot the light bulb. its even better if you can manually adjust the exposure value to slightly underexpose the lightbulb, that will make your star stands out further.

-OR-

get a fujifilm digicam, gelenti u can shoot stars without any effort 10.gif

oh ya... one more cheat method, very fake one but effective, get some oil, put it around your lens corner but give a lil room in the middle part of the lens oil-free. this will get u stars as well. do try it.
