That sort of budget a bit hard unless you get a 2nd hand. 10-15 houses is quite a zoom. My Prosumer Panasonic FZ20 can do that but it's not compact and if I sell it, would be 3rd hand. RM600. Heh.

If you can afford double your budget, you can get a decent camera like the Panasonic LX3

The picture is misleading, it's smaller than a SLR, but obviously bigger than a compact camera.

For a camera that has a 10 / 15 houses zoom, I don't think any compact camera can do that. My camera has 10x optical zoom. My office to Mandarin Oriental's poolside no problems. LOL

Pictures taken behind tinted windows hence the reflection. And pictures resized so the humans look smaller.

Normal shot no zoom (focal length 6mm)

Maximum 10x Optical zoom (focal length 72mm)

1. Budget about RM400-Rm600 < Even 2nd hand its hard to get with such spec (point 2) unless 3-5 years old model

2. good zooming photo clarity for about 10-15 houses away. < The more time the zoom, the 'poor' the image quality

3. about 7-10 megapixels < I think (with point 1) you mostly can get below 6 MP model

Even with DSLR 18-200mm lens also hard to archive good IQ at 10-15 houses away, you need at least 300mm

10x Optical zoom.

Don't peeping toms just love this camera? laugh.gif I took a lot of "interesting" couples doing "interesting things" in KLCC park in the past. laugh.gif

sky : This picture is not doctored, it's really what my camera can do. If you don't edit the picture and take full sized, you can manually zoom into the picture and see what kind of pattern on the kwai-loh lady's bikini.

If you are having higher budget, than you may consider my FX-36.

I want to sell of my Panasonic FX-36, brought from OCT-08. Warranty is 24 months, black color, come with leather casing & original box & manual.

Hardly use, brought for my wife but end up in Dry box most of the time.

Prefer to sell at RM800.00.
