if you want to test drive my satria is no problem.

But I suggest you to test drive KHguan car, b4 test drive mine.

I think 4G15P crank up is more value for money, you dont need to do the JPJ process for change engine. road tax is cheaper a lot compare to 4G93.

A complete use half cut set from GTI or Putra is selling around RM4-5K. with this you still dont get lancer dashboard & digital aircon system. If Japanese halfcut most is 4G93T or MIVEC.

If your aim is 120WHP, than 4G15 mod with crank up enough liao.

If your aim is 140WHP than go for 4G93 la.

Let's say modified 4G15P has 120whp compared to stock 4G93P which has the same wheel horsepower, what will the torque be? Usually, bigger cc has more torque.

Very important of torque is that when you're 'loaded' with weight, bigger cc always has more advantage.

Yup, in paper. you can see standard 4G93 have a better torque, this is on 100% acceration only. we all never do dyno on 50% of the acceration padel.

But somehow, driving a standard 4G93 on a satria I find it power is so so nia...of course I did not full throttle it, I am comparing drivability for daily drive, not drag racing. But if driving a 4G15, i find it got some advantage over 4G93 in my driving. Daily do 100KM with 50% KL traffic jam condition. Too many thing to write down and my english is so so nia. Do more homework for 4G15, know how far it can go. than decide what you want to get.

I agree with you completely, cpmah.

Well, some cars are very powerful on papers but that is if you hit the high revs with 100% throttle. I felt the same when driving my previous AE111. I was comparing my semi-modified 4A-FE (clutch, flywheel, ignition, exhaust, intake) against my friend's 4A-GE 20V which has similar modifications.

His is powerful only when pushed above 5000rpm with full throttle where else mine, anything above 4500rpm, the 'grunt' is gone. But on daily driving in KL city roads, mine is more pleasurable and 'faster' to drive, especially stop and go situations.

So it really boils down on how you want to tune it. If you got 200hp but the torque band is bad, it's really not usable for our daily commute. Just sharing my thoughts.

Wein, sorry to hijack for discussion. :S

thx all the comments input, dun said hijack la.

I knew drex/guan working on few restroke project for 4G15, I'm interested as well, but me from JB...

I understand what cpmah want to point out and I definately need more torque for daily drive, actually I always admire 4G93 since putra/GTi launced... but 140hp @ 6000rpm is not easy to achieve on daily drive is another fact that I need to consider.

Possible of force inducing it? I see a lot of turbo kits for sale nowadays, including installation and tuning below Rm8K. Not expensive and pretty effective getting more torque and hp.

Staying below 0.5 bar of boost shouldn't be a problem I guess. That will gain you about 30whp which is very healthy.

Thanks wink.gif

The Pz one is a bit overpriced.

I was sourcing for pricing for a AMR500, custom pulley and belt - that one total cost is less than 1k.

Only thing is need some sort of brain to control the AFR but i'm not keen on piggyback so standalone was what I was looking at and it costs just way too much
