I dont have that expensive infra red pointing thermometer, I cant really prove it technically.

But, after a long trip, I dare to kiss the hood, haha, hood not hot like before. Like that can ah?

Also, somehow, the air blows out from air cond duct is stronger and colder.

the coolant meter still show same level.

dokaugot,

Go to accessories shop or Brothers to get the digital termometer with a long wire with sensor at the end.

It works with 1 AAA sized battery. I used to have that last time. I bought it for USD10 and my 2 elder brothers bought it at a local accesories shop here for Rm35. I did not remove it from my AE111 when I sold it previously.

What I did was to locate the sensor near my open pod filter, so I can read the temp during idling, to check my temp after I installed the Cold Air Intake, Heat Shield and Auto-Suction Cold Air Intake.

If I recall accurately, after I lifted the hood in my Satria last time, the tempreture was around 5c lower on the move, no difference on idling/traffic jam tho. But heat shield and auto-suction CAI worked.

Thanks for the info.

Good tools to have.

Added to my wishlist tool.

1. Digital Thermometer
2. Dremel
3. Big Red Jack

I know where you can get the jack for about 400 promo from a reputable brand. But shipping it to east malaysia wouldn't be practical.
