my frend in eon sc as a technician told me our wise front and rear absober same as waja 1. my rear absober spoit oread so he help me to change a new wan. :P

drexchan - July 21, 2005 01:30 PM (GMT)
Thanks saku!

SE6924, confirm!?

jctasoga - July 21, 2005 01:41 PM (GMT)
Se6924, are you sure?

peace yeah?

The last time my mech tried to use the rear ARB from Waja. Later, he found out that the Waja's dogbone is too long which will protrude out of the wira sedans. don't think waja suspension will fit into Waja me thinks......

So, IMHO, i reckon its still better to get the ori Wira / WiSE shocks. I've changed to Monroe recently and the handling was much better....but don't mind the hard feeling going over bumps.... <_<

drexchan - July 21, 2005 01:43 PM (GMT)
rear ARB has nothing to do with the absorber. The ARB is linked to the lower arm.. not the absorber like the front.

BTW, someone please confirm.

khguan - July 21, 2005 03:53 PM (GMT)
i heard b4 waja rear springs can be used in wira rear... but not de shocks...

g88 - July 22, 2005 06:05 PM (GMT)
So drexchan have you call then number i gave you ? Dun ragu any more...go there straight and you will know your question answer....trust me...

btw, dun think wira using same shock as Waja.

drexchan - July 22, 2005 07:37 PM (GMT)

NORMALLY WISE SUSPENSION ..IF CAN..GET BACK THE ORI SUSPENSION...

if not you will facing matching spring and absober....
if you want to chnge...either change whole suspension, or replace back to oem..

GAB is recently still doing on WiSe absorber to match with our cars...but not yet received any answer ..

chew118 - February 23, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
yeah problem is OEM doesnt last.. probably u know the way to Star Cruise office.. the road condition is very bad...... even my ARB front also bengkok like khalid..

damn fed up this car,.... thought of changing to second hand vios

khguan - February 23, 2006 04:02 AM (GMT)
well.. OEM shocks are for normal driving conditions...

since WiSE front spring are shorter... it is hard to get a suitable shocks in de market except short strokes.... but those short strokes normally are harder than OEM ones...

well..i think the suspension didn`t do their job, so effect the ARB bengkok

izso - February 23, 2006 04:26 AM (GMT)
Hmm.. so monroe senatrac + ori springs is not workable?

chew118 - February 23, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
well some mec told me they measure the spring height is the same as 1.6
not sure.. everyone got their own opinion now days maybe just to cari makan they simply say......

if shorter spring would it mean that i can use kayaba rs?

.. sean prob u are right... the abs cause the arb to twist its original form..
well what to do.. a proton is consider a proton only when it give u alot of problem
haha
::em33::

khguan - February 23, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
well.. in my opinion.. get those aftermarket shocks dat are more durable like APM performax... monroe... then they can last even with shorter springs infront...

just like my sagged rear springs last time.. de APM performax shocks stil wokring like new even after more than a year of usage...

wein - February 23, 2006 06:17 AM (GMT)
Wira Se Kayaba Absorber cost RM160. I found out one of mine oil leaked last mon,
and straight away claim one from eon. cost me RM0 (still under warranty) B)
since still can claim within warranty, thus I never consider aftermarket products yet.

*dun wan spoilt my service record at eon* :shy:
