Title: The Best Exhaust For Wira 1.5!?

haobeck - June 14, 2005 03:28 PM (GMT)
hi.every sifus here!

im new bie here.

i wanna ask which EXHAUST is the most suitable for my wira sedan manual 1.5cc

as i'd changed my car to 4-2-1 extractor, center box changed to a turbine blade box, so finally i think is to change my EXHAUST for better pickup.

As i know every sifus here talking S-FLOW, STRAIGHT FLOW...
i really don understand the effects will be taken from these 2 flows.

Wish I can have some comments here, so that i can go maintenance shop confidently. thank Q so much ya !!!!!!

so you like pickup ??

Are you refer changing muffler ?

CyborgR - June 14, 2005 04:55 PM (GMT)
Err..I think he means muffler la..depends on wat your liking..noisy or bassy..better get ori ones like FGK, Kakimotor, HKS, Apexi and etc..dun go for cheap ones like wat Wai Heng offers..

haobeck - June 15, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)

i mean i wanna install a proper muffler..
but dono which one is a better one for wira 1.5 sedan like mine.

if i've changed the bigger muffler, will it increase my FC?
which is the ideal muffler? i don wan noisy one..i want a good noise..and very good FC...anyone can recommend here???

ijnek - June 15, 2005 03:06 AM (GMT)
if u dun wan loud noise, choose a box type(not those tude 1).the bigger the box,the sound will b reduce more n lower brass.
i suggest u use 1.6 inch pipe.
i'm veri sure most would say 2 inch is the best, but i tried and have converted back to 1.6 inch as it gives mi a better response n acceleration.

g88 - June 15, 2005 03:46 AM (GMT)
what your budget for muffler ? U like bassy type ?

haobeck - June 15, 2005 06:32 AM (GMT)
my budget is rm150-300 guah..

i don wan loud loud one..
wat i wan is good pickup , good FC , and don be too big lo i mean the exhaust mouth there.. :D

ijnek - June 15, 2005 10:06 AM (GMT)
big is good.
nex time buy fuji apple know where to put to cook it.
smoked taste somemore...hahahahhaa...

CyborgR - June 15, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)
In that case I think need to change the whole piping to straight or s-flow then throw in a oval shape muffler..should be within your budget :D

seanlee - June 17, 2005 01:17 AM (GMT)
why not..use back ori..then change to big big mullfer tail..

thteh86 - June 22, 2005 09:51 AM (GMT)
putra 1.8 muffler

consrito - June 22, 2005 01:33 PM (GMT)
sorry.. newbie here..
any sifu here can hlp me?
my wira 1.3 EFI need 2 do some modify on exhaust stuff..

any recommend? sifu...

jus wan play some pick-up n dun mind changeing muffler! (but not too loud) scare later back home kana TIAO! hehe..

seanlee - June 23, 2005 01:11 AM (GMT)
1.3 normally you can only use 1.6" or 1.65"..piping and 4-2-1 for torque and 4-1 for power in highspeed....
if you are not for high speed...then you better go for 4-2-1...but FC will be higher..

g88 - June 23, 2005 02:06 AM (GMT)
Wira 1.8 DOHC is running at 1.7" or 1.8" piping.

consrito - June 23, 2005 03:12 AM (GMT)
i see... thx sean.. btw, wat muffler box do u think is suit 4 pick-up 1? big big 1 also can ar.. but dun like the loud loud 1, bassy sound is the best.. how abt 1.8 muffler? will it fit? mine is is A/B 1 le..

kostonmy - June 23, 2005 07:49 AM (GMT)
I am also looking for a best muffler.......

I have saw one HOTBITS muffler(oval & have a BIG tail) at Speedwork PJ.The performance adviser recommended me for that muffler because I have already 'cut off' my cat. converter and center piping and change to "Air Flow Bullet" and RIMUS Center Bullet.I think the sound of that muffler are not loud because I have see Nissan Sentra install it before and the sound are very good for that Nissan Sentra.

Got any one here have any experience using this muffler expecially about the performance and sound when install at WIse or wira???

how much for the hotbits stuffs?

actually to mi, these brands like hotbits/marcos also brand ayam bcos all similar made in M'sia or mi,branded 1s r like hks,apexi....

so y pay more for hot bits stuffs?...

dun think it will b cheap for u to do these mods at places like speedworks...

You said.. branded stuff is like HKS & Apexi....
Can you tell me what type is suitable for standard Wise.....where to get....because chop shop just got turbo muffler for that brand with 2.5" inlet...

If you can tell me where to get "Apexi World Sport II" 60mm inlet I will go and buy it...come tell me la...

ijnek - June 28, 2005 12:44 AM (GMT)
apexi/hks mufflers are expensive and hard to find new 1s.

wat i'm trying to say if y spend so much on marco/hotbits exhaust when they are actually locally made without much RnD into the designs unlike Apexi and HKS 1.
to mi,marco n hotbits no differences from cap ayam.
i may b offensive here,sorry.

how to say huh?...

haobeck - July 13, 2005 08:17 PM (GMT)

i know u've changed so many exhausts before..
u must have the experience, right??

yah..i think MUGEN wouldnt be RM200 over ..smore imported one..

The exhaust shop lot of exhausts..hotbits, marco, etc..

u're correct..apexi/hks are better..but they're pretty expensive if ORI one..
more than 1k ... local apexi/hks only rm200..sth..

For ur final opinion, which is the best exhaust do u suggest ...??
(sure is ORI Apexi/HKS , but they're too expensive ) - suggest affordable and good performance exhaust...

thanks ya!!! :tb:

ijnek - July 15, 2005 03:40 AM (GMT)
mugen will b MUCH MUCH expensive than 200,if new 1,i thinkveri hard to find...

most local exhaust r replicas, jus fix the tag on it only.

go for apexi N1.
but ur pipe diameter need to match etc also...
if ur car below 100hp,the guide line is 2 inch pipe...
i suggest 1.8inch...

ijnek - July 16, 2005 06:22 PM (GMT)
my current setup...
1.5 wira stock s-flow muffler - 1.6 inch pipe - surbo-like bullet mid box.
straight flow muffler - 2 inch pipe - surbo-like bullet mid box.

now i feel tat my engine response ablove 3K rpm is heavy...
thinking of going for 2 inch pipe...
will post again...
