The year is 2020, and the world is on the verge of disaster. The whole world seems to be fighting with one another. Experiments are being carried out by govenrnments all over the world involving nuclear bombs big enough to kill all the humans on an entire continent. Not one country will get rid of the bombs, through fear of having nothing to defend themselves with if they are attacked!

Little do the governments know, an extremist group have also been experimenting with nuclear weapons... But their bombs are big enough to kill all the humans, and animals, on the planet.

Zoos and farms are closed and the animals are evacuated hundreds of feet underground. A few groups of people all over the world are worried about the threat of war, and they don't want their families to die so they escape underground with the animals. Three families (The Smiths, the Johnstons and the Parkers) escape into the main USA animal hold, but they only have to wait a few hours before...

The world is wiped out.

A few days later, the families emerge from their underground hide away. They are shocked to find that EVERYONE else is dead and the landscape has totally changed. Everything has turned to dust and dirt, but there are still patches of trees and grass, with a few buildings here and there (Although not totally intact).

The three families are trying to restart human life - education, health, homes, food, etc. They have come across other groups such as there's that found safety from the bombing, but not many...

They have come across mutant creatures that have been changed and deformed by the nuclear bomb.. Humans and animals have been changed into strange creatures. Not all are dangerous, but not all have been discovered.

The world has totally changed. It's a new beginning, and it's up to you roleplayers to decide the future of this new Earth!
