Victor blinked in surprise as he stumbled a little. Unlike Kemosiri he was a large draconian and it would be hard to get him to fall unless he's hit at the right angle. After he stumbled he heard a thud. "Eh?" He turned around and saw the sword that would have killed him. "A plague on all inexpirienced soldiers..." He mumbled as he ripped the sword from the wall.

He turned to find the person who let the sword slip then gave a deep chuckle when he saw Kemosiri ream he boys ass for his clumsiness. When he heard the boys response his eyes narrowed and his grip on the boys sword tightened considerably.

"It's people like that that ruin a community and an army. Blames everything on the scapegoat." He growled as he tossed the boys sword to the kids feet. He stood there for a few moments to see if Kemosiri would come back to stand by the wall she was originally against. He doubted she would though.

It had been a few days since the incident in the throne room and Aran was still stuck hanging around the castle and surrounding area. He had yet to get any reliable information on where he could go from here. Everyone seemed to be talking about an upcoming war and how the queen was calling for volunteers.

Aran ignored the gossip, he never volunteered for anything and he always avoided wars. He had taken shelter in what seemed to be a warehouse and kept himself fed off the various grains and vegtables within. Every once in a while he would sneak into a nearby market and steal some ale or meat.

He had dropped the illusion that made him appear to be a human since everyone here was a draconian like him. He relied instead on his brown, hooded cloak to cover the pair of foot long, slim, bronze colored horns that emerged from his forehead. They curved slightly towards the back of his head making it somewhat easier to hide than they might have been. He wrapped his tan whip-like, scaled, tail around his torso like a belt in order to keep it out of harm's way.

He also kept his tan, bat-like wings folded tightly against his back unless he was using them. Aran lounged in the warehouse on some hay and peeled a round red fruit with his tough and claw-like fingernails. The fruit was soon gone, along with a pint and a half of ale and some other foods.

It wasn't long before Aran felt his amber eyes began to get heavy. Soon he had fallen asleep. What he didn't know was that the owner of the warehouse had noticed his missing inventory and had requested that the town guards keep watch for intruders. When Aran awoke he was already in shackles with the guards standing over him.

"What should we do with him?" asked one guard.

"We'll keep him locked up and notify the queen. She can decide what to do with him at her leisure."

After Kemosiri had growled at the young Draconian that nearly killed Victor, she was headed over to another group of soldiers when she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. She turned to get a better look and spotted a small figure leaving through a back gate. The figure was far too small to be a Draconian.

Suspicious, she drew her swords and advanced forwards. She ducked through the small gate after the figure and followed along behind it. The figure stopped when it noticed a dark shadow looming over it. The figure turned slowly, only to realize a very fierce Draconian standing over it. The figure turned out to be human and Kemosiri growled. "What the hell are you doing here- RAH!"

The human male suddenly thrust an all to familiar purplish plant into Kemosiri's face and ignited it with a fire blast from his palm. He then whirled and took off as fast as his legs could carry him.

Kemosiri had held her breath the moment she spotted his hands containing the Dragon's Bane. The fireball to the face didn't even singe her hair, as she was a creature of fire after all, but the Bane did at least some damage. The smoldering poison plant stuck to Kemosiri's face, even though she tried to knock it off. She wouldn't be able to hold her breath for much longer and when she had to take a breath, she would be in serious trouble.

Angered, Kemosiri launched one of her scimitars at the human, but she missed as she was unable to see through the smoke emanating from the plant stuck to her face. Finally, Kemosiri simply turned up the heat and practically vaporized the plant from her face. With a cough, she launched herself off the ground and landed in for of the human only moments later.

"You pathetic little human," Kemosiri hissed, grabbing the mans face, which fit into her hand quite nicely. "Did you plant Dragon's Bane in the palace?!"

The human smiled, gripping Kemosiri's wrist with both hands in an attempt to pry her off him. "Heh, like I would tell you."

Just as he said that, a few small pops were heard and purplish smoke began to fill the air. Enraged, Kemosiri looked at the human in disbelief. "What have you done?!" She roared.

"Long live King Nishra!" The human exclaimed with a laugh. "Once the Draconians are poisoned, this kingdom will fall and King Nishra will will go down in history as the man who defeated the great Draconians."

Kemosiri's vision was slightly blurred as the small amount of poison she inhaled took affect. However, it was not near enough poison to do any sort of major damage. She gave a wicked smile, showing her sharp rows of teeth. "Your probably hoping that I will kill you," Kemosiri said. "However, you will live out the remainder of your short human life in pain and agony."

Kemosiri launched herself into the air then, taking the human with her, carrying him by his head. "Everyone, get the hell out of here!" She roared, pointing outside the training grounds. "Do not inhale the smoke!"

She landed amidst the chaos and smoke and thrust the human at Victor, who just happened to be the closest to her. "Take this human and make sure he is still alive when I return," Kemosiri ordered.

She then ran into the palace, which was absolutely thick with smoke to find her sister. There were already Draconians collapsed on the floor having inhaled too much of the poison. Kemosiri grabbed who ever as nearest and began to haul people outside. She wanted desperately to find her sister, but she couldn't leave the others to die either.

Victor hadn't moved since Kemosiri wandered off. He just continued to watch the other draconians train, mess up, and get better. He jerked to his feet when he heard Kemosiri's surprised shout and the anger in it as well. "What's happening..." He muttered as he looked around, all three of his blades out. He knew Kemosiri had slight temper issues but it was wartime so you always had to be cautious.

After a few minutes he growled deep in his chest, he saw the purplish smoke. Then he heard Kemosiri's shout to not breathe any of it it. "Ok, don't breathe it in." He growled, there was one little flaw in that. He and other draconians had to breathe.

He blinked when Kemosiri launched a human at him and told him to keep the man alive. "As you wish General Kemosiri." He said as he crossed his arms over the humans chest and his tail wrapped around his own waist and the humans. "You're lucky it wasn't me that found you....I would have melted yours fingers all the way up to your arms for this act of cowardice. Humans know no bounds do they boy..." He snarled in the humans ear, his mouth closing with a loud snap.

"OI! Evacuate the area so you don't die from poison you idiots! Help anyone you can out of the smoke!" He shouted loudly as he took flight away from the smoke, his wings had cleared some of it away from the castle and out into harmless land. He hovered just outside the castle walls though, each flap of his wings dispersed the smoke around his general area a little.

As Kemosiri helped people out of the smoke, one particular draconian made her look down. "Shackles?" She coughed, dragging him outside. She looked at him for awhile, thinking that he looked familiar. "He looks familiar...." Kemosiri then shook her head. "I don't have time for this. I need to find Tatra!"

She left Aran there and headed back into the smoke to find her sister. When Kemosiri finally found her, her heart skipped a beat. Kemosiri ran to her side and lifted her torso from the ground. "Tatra! Tatra! Speak to me! Tatra!"

Tatra slowly opened her eyes and smiled at Kemosiri. "I'm glad...you are safe. I was so worried when the smoke began to fill the castle," Tatra said weakly. "I was caught off guard and inhaled a lot of it...."

Kemosiri narrowed her eyes and looked around. She had to get her sister out now. However, running through the halls would take too much time. Kemosiri looked up and spotted a large window near the ceiling and launched herself off the ground.

With a crash, she burst from the window and out into the fresh air. She landed on the roof of another part of the castle and looked down at her sister. "Tatra, don't you dare die on me. We are about to go to war and your people need you. I need you!"

Tatra managed to open her eyes again, "Kemosiri....you know what you have to do so you don't need me now. Your going to have to lead the people while I rest. You wanted to be queen didn't you? This is your chance to prove to the people that you are not destined to bring about the destruction of the Draconian people, but to save them from it. Ah, I'm so sleepy. I need to rest for now....."

Tatra closed her eyes at that point and sighed, growing limp. "Tatra?! Tatra! TATRAAAAAA!" Kemosiri cried.

Kemosiri stared in disbelief for a few moments then realized something. In a flash she arrived in the infirmary, which went unscathed. "Get the healers in here NOW. The Queen needs help!"

Kemosiri placed her sister onto a bed nearby as gently as possible. When the healers arrive Kemosiri smiled. Kemosiri kissed her sisters cheek softly then straightened. "Wait for me, sister. I have work to do."

With that said, Kemosiri left the room, ordering people to vent all the smoke immediately and to take all the injured and the poisoned to the infirmary. She then returned to the place she last left that human and looked around. She spotted Victor in the air, and with a burst of her wings she launched herself into the air.

She grabbed the human and growled at him, her face inches from his. "You were going to wish you had never been born, little human, but now you are going to pray for a never ending nightmare to end. You poisoned my people and my sister! That is something I will NEVER forgive you for!" She roared, so enraged she was shaking. She tightened her grip on the human. "If my sister dies, your I swear I will bring ruin, not to the draconian race, but to the human race."

Kemosiri began to find it harder and harder to stay in the air and her eyes began to blur again. [This isn't good.... I inhaled too much smoke trying to get to my sister.....]

Aran opened his eyes slowly, his vision was blurry. As it improved he realized he was outside. He did not remember getting there, the last thing he remembered was getting ambushed by guards then being taken to the castle.

There had been a disturbance of some kind and he had inhaled some smoke before passing out. He felt horrible, but he knew he had to take advantage of this situation. Fortunately, the guards had been careless and left him with his weapons and lock picking equipment.

Working quickly, he picked the locks and the shackles fell away. This was a sure sign that it was time for him to leave. He would pick a direction away from the castle and go. However, it was obvious that there was some sort of trouble at the castle. He shook his head, it was none of his buisness and getting involved would only lead to more trouble.

He turned to leave, but looked over his shoulder at the shouts coming from the castle. He gave a slight growl, spread his wings and took flight towards the castle. He knew he was going to regret this later.

Victor remained in the air as he watched people evacuate the spoked out castle. A moment later he saw Kemosiri come out and even from the distance he was at he noticed she was furious. "Oh yeah...the Queen was in the castle so she must be poisoned." He rumbled to himself then looked at the human. "Ya know...you're as good as dead now." He hissed into the humans ear as Kemosiri flew towards them. He let her take the man when she yanked and just stood by incase she needed anything.

He saw her straining to stay in the air. "Should we land General Kemosiri?" He asked her calmly. He added the General part just in case she took him calling her by her normal name as an insult. Women were fickle beings they were. "And if you want I can donate acid to the humans torture if you plan on torturing him." He added, he enjoyed watching the acid in his saliva do its work.

Kemosiri glared at Victor, but nodded anyway. She descended and landed on the ground, throwing the human down and stepping on his chest. She grinned evilly at him, eyes wild. "Oh, you are going to be the first to experience the true horror of Kemosiri," she said, putting her weight on the mans chest, making him grunt.

Kemosiri wanted to rip him to pieces right then and there, but that was too easy for this human. She snapped her gaze to Victor then, "You. What do you know of human poisons? Do you know of one that will cause this man to die a slow and painful death?" Kemosiri asked.

OOC: Holy crap, so short T.T

Victor followed after Kemosiri after her glare. He wasn't really fazed by it since he knew why she glared at everyone but her family members. He watched from a few feet away as she threw the human down and stepped on the mans chest. "Careful General...their bones aren't as sturdy as ours. Press to hard and it'll tap the heart effectively stopping it." He rumbled softly but loud enough for her to hear easily.

"As for poisons I barely know anything about them. I do acids which can be incredibly painful. Good thing about my acid is I can make it strong or weak to draw out the pain." He stated with his arms folded behind his back.

Kemosiri looked down at the human and bared her fangs. Victor was right about their frail bones, but a few broken ribs wouldn't kill the human so long as they didn't puncture anything vital. "Humans...so weak and vulnerable. If your species did not breed like rabbits I have no doubt humans would have died out a long time ago," she sneered.

She let her foot off the man's chest and grabbed him. "Acid...that does not sound like a bad idea. "Tell me....whatever your name was, have you ever seen what Dune Ants do to living beings? They may be tiny insects, but their colonies are expansive. If they find flesh in the desert, they pick it apart little by little and bring in back to their hives under the dunes, but not before stinging you first. If that was not painful enough, they slowly strip away your flesh until there is nothing left but bone," Kemosiri explained.

Kemosiri then chained the man up to a stone column and continued, "I think your sun bleached bones would be a wonderful gift to your old and senile king," Kemosiri said slapping the man on the face roughly. "But not before you have been poisoned, marinated in acid, and fed to the Dune Ants." Kemosiri then smiled, "And I shall deliver your bones personally. After your king's present is received, he and his many followers shall be destroyed."

_____

A human dashed into the throne room where an elderly man sat in a throne. He was slumped over due to old age and was unable to straighten his back. "What is it?" he asked in a raspy voice. "Why have you come here in such a hurry?"

"Your highness, the assassin you have sent has been captured," the messenger said.

"Did he succeed in his mission?"

"I am unsure, your highness. However, I am positive that many Draconians will not survive the night after inhaling so much Dragon's Bane."

The old man narrowed his eyes, "Didn't succeed? Send another! Send as many as needed! Destroy the royal family!"

Aran ran back to the castle only to find the aftermath of the attack. He wandered around the premise taking in the damage. He stopped when he heard voices and listened more carefully. He couldn't quite make out what they were saying , but he could tell one was male and the other female.

He followed the voices and came upon the male he who had first brought him to this place and the female who had let him go conversing.

"And I shall deliver your bones personally. After your king's present is received, he and his many followers shall be destroyed."

It was then that Aran noticed the human before them. Aran quickly pieced together what must have happened. This human was responsible for the dragonsbane, not doubt he was a hired assassin, and he was unfortunate enough to be caprtured by those two.

~Better him than me.~ thought Aran, perhaps he wasn't needed here afterall. ~I should probably leave before one of them notices me.~ He felt certain any more invlovment with these draconians would be bad for his health.

Victor listened to Kemosiri terrorize the human. If the man didn't have a heart attack then he didn't doubt that Kemosiri would go through with all of her threats. I wonder how a human got into the city....and how did he get in with so much dragonsbane? He thought idly to himself. Unless there was a traitor around he didn't know how the man did it. "General...I think the human needs to be interigated. How did he get in here with so much dragons bane?" He asked her calmly

"A human present in the draconian kingdom during wartime and with at least a wagons load of a plant deadly to our kind. He couldn't have done it without help." He rumbled softly as he eyed the human in contempt. "There may be a traitor loose..." He growled reluctantly. He didn't really want to say it but there was a possibility.

He heard a slight rustle and he looked over in that direction to see Aran. He instantly started walking towards the man and drew one of his scimitars from its sheathe.

Kemosiri listened to Victor, but only for a moment. "Perhaps he does need to be interrogated, but that is not my job," Kemosiri said, then pondered this for a moment as Victor occupied himself with something he heard. "However, the traitor could have influence on the interrogators. That wouldn't be very good, now would it?"

Kemosiri kicked the human, "You damned scum. You pathetic little beings bring me too much work." She picked the human up and began to leave. "You bring your new friend...whatever your name is," Kemosiri called back to Victor. "I believe that is the man whom I set free. I told him not to return but he did not listen. He need to be punished."

Kemosiri checked to see how well the castle was ventilating, then entered and headed down to the dungeon. She felt a little light headed from inhaling to much poison earlier, but she wasn't going to show it. She chained the human to the wall in the dungeon, then sat down across from his and just stared at him.

Kemosiri's glance was enough to make people uncomfortable, and now she was fully staring at the human. Needless to say, he was squirming uncomfortably.

Victor sheathed a scimitar before latching a powerful grip onto Arans fore-arm. He looked down at the human a little coldly before hauling him up by his arm to eye level. He gave a rather feral grin at the boy. "You should heave left when ya had the chance." He rumbled as he headed for the dungeon which was where Kemosiri went with the other human. He still had a firm grip on Aran's arm. "Maybe you'll get a chance to feel my acid as well since you could be an accomplice with the poisoner." He growled. He didn't believe that really since he captured the guy miles from Chetza. But hey who cares since his poison isn't used all that often.

"Now be a good little human and hand over all your possessions except for your clothes. I don't want to see a naked hairless ape. Might scar me for life..." The large reptilian male growled as he stared at Aran expectantly. He had carried the human to the dungeon by the arm and was now looking at him expectantly. He had put the human down for the moment but his tail was ready to wrap around Arans feet like a boa or anaconda.

He looked away for a moment to see what Kemosiri was doing and just saw her looking at the other human. He gave a low chuckle before turning his gaze back to Aran. "If you don't I'll have to run you through." He said calmly while a hand strayed to one of his scimitars hilts.
