Wight Weather Forum Guidelines
These are in addition to/alongside the terms and conditions you agreed to before registering and the general site terms which are viewable here.

If you register and/or post on this forum, then you must agree to the rules of the forum, below:

When posting messages on this forum, you must respect the other people using the forum at all times. Please always be patient, there are people of all ages and from many different walks of life who use and enjoy the forum. Any posts considered to be offensive/unsuitable for any reason will be removed or edited.

Anti-social posting - this term covers a wide remit, posts which the team deem to be attacking an individual (no matter how subtley), in a style designed to cause extreme reaction, dismmissive of others' views or lacking resepect for other members of the forum are covered by this.

Any person found to be posting anti-socially will be warned, a continuation of this will lead to a ban.

Please refrain from swearing on the forum, many people find swearing to be offensive. There are swear filters in place, please do not try to avoid the filter, if we see swearing in a post it is likely to be edited or deleted.

Please don't post your entire message (or a majority of it) in capital letters, many people consider this to be rude - as it is thought of as shouting, it can also be hard to read. Messages entirely or mainly in 'text language' are hard to read, so please don't post in this style. Posting entirely in text speak will result in your post being edited or deleted.

Spamming (posting irrelevant/off topic/no topic posts) for any reason is not allowable and will result in the post being deleted or edited.

Advertising is not permitted on the forum unless prior agreement is made with the moderating and admin team, this includes links in signatures.

The moderating/admin team for will advise and help you. Please try and listen to their advice and respect them. They are on the forum to make it a more enjoyable place for all the users. Remember that these people volunteer their time to help run the forum, if you have a question or issue you would like to raise with any member of the team, please show them the same respect that you would like them to show you.

Any person found to be regularly disregarding these rules/guidelines will be warned formally. They can then be banned either temporarily or permanently from the forum. In certain situations a cool down period may be used without warning, this ban will last upto 48 hours.

The forum team reserve the right to remove posts from the forum which they feel may disrupt the discussion within a thread or may mislead other members.

These rules/guidelines may change at any time without prior notice.
