You, the player will be able to choose between 3 factions that you would like youre character to be in. All factions will have major impacts on the storyline, so you will have a direct involvement in whats happening. The storyline revolves around the players, not the plot. It all depends on how you play.

Sheriff and Prince John: These guys want all the power to themselves, and will stop at almost nothing to get it. Siezing the power vacuum of his elder brother's imprisonment, Prince John seeks to take the throne back once he returns from France. The Sheriff of Nottingham is backing John up along with Guy of Gisbourne.

The benefits of this faction are numerous - but the dangers are as well. This faction is embroiled in the politics of England, and much backstabbing, lying and other shadowy things happen in this political arena.

To join the Sheriff's faction you must be a noble/knight. The Sheriff and Prince John only have respect for fellow noblemen, and they have to have the resources to back him up anyway.

Robin Hood and Outlaws: Robin Hood is sick and tired of the overtaxing of the population and wants it to stop. First he will take the battle to Sherwood and Nottingham, but then...well maybe even larger? Only time will tell. Robin Hood supports Richard, and opposes everything Prince John stands for.

Neutrals: If you dont want to be in a faction and do youre own thing, then great! Just remember nobles Robin will still bag ya if youre pockets are heavy. You can join one of the other factions at any time through roleplay. Neutrals however can still effect the plot as they are apart of the world as well and all impact it. You can still push for the Sheriff to hang but not be affiliated with Robin to do so.
