Watcher Chronicles is a forum based roleplay taking after the whole idea of Highlander. Immortals, Watchers and Mortals exist and interact in various places around the world. This site is placed above, beyond and for the most part outside the Highlander moves and Series. What does that mean? It means that, while canon characters are accepted, those who take on those parts are not held to the relationships made in the movies or the series.

For example, I play Duncan MacLeod and while I choose to keep the fatherly mentor relationship with Richie, because of a personal dislike for Tessa, that relationship never happened. So should someone wish to play her, she can KNOW Duncan... but only over my dead body will she be in a relationship with him.

As for when this takes place, it is in the present day, 2007. Simple, easy. How the world is now is how the world is in this roleplay.
