I'm Dianna, like the Roman goddess of night and the hunt. What foreshadowing. Middle name is Amelie, which apparently just sounded pretty. Last name is Knight, like the kind in shining armor. Like the kind that a girl hears about but never finds...or is just too late. I'm a twin. I have a sister named Adelaide. I like calling her Adelaide because no one else gets to. She's a real spitfire sometimes, but she's mostly a sweet kid...a little stubborn. Actually, a lot of stubborn. I don't know why I call her kid. I was technically the first one out of the birth canal, but she's only like, eight minutes younger. Maybe those eight minutes made a difference. Anyway, we were both born and raised here on LaPush by loving parents. They have their fights, but they always make up and hug and whatnot. It's a cycle of hopeless love. That's probably where I started the whole "falling for boys out of my reach". I guess us Knight girls are pretty attractive, but I never want the guys that I can have...I want something that I can't have. I'm all about the competition, the win, the victory. I hate losing, but I'm not a sore loser. Moving on, the worst sort of thing about being a twin is always making other people totally confused. Of course, most people can tell us apart by personality. I'm sort of shyer and quiet, but I still have a wee bit of a temper. I only get really mad if someone attacks my pack or my sister. I don't take that. I'm not really a depressed person though, but I know when to keep my mouth shut. The only person who can bring me out of my shell is my sister...or Jacob. Being a wolf is fantastic, especially because you can hang out with your friends in a different way. Eww, that sounded cliché. I mean, you can hang out with your friends at the park, or you can totally shred up the trail on all fours, ripping dirt clods out of the ground, hitting top speed. I love running through the forest at sunrise. I think nature is a beautiful thing. Whenever I'm upset or need to get away, I just run to the forest. It's peaceful. I read there sometimes. I love poetry and writing, especially Oscar Wilde. The man was a genius. Okay, so i'm a bit of a bookworm. It happens. However, I love thrill-seeking, like jumping from the highest cliff, or running the fastest. I love to be the best. When i talk, I usually have something witty and sarcastic to say, so lots of people say I have humor. I just have the gift of timing. Oh, everyone asks me about why I didn't change before my sister. I really wish I knew the answer to that. I was so angry. Adelaide didn't even tell me about it until I started going through changes. It was maddening, and it made me sort of distrust her. We started to grow apart, and I kind of hate that. I miss hanging out with my sister, but I feel like she's in her own world and I in mine. Occasionally those worlds collide due to Sam's will, but for the most part I sort of avoid her in school and such. We have different friends. Mine are artsy and adventure seekers, and hers are annoying. Whatever. I think that Jacob sort of separates us, too. I...I really like Jacob. He's so caring and sweet and kind and strong and that Bella doesn't deserve an ounce of him. She's going to crush him, leaving him for that other Edward fellow, and then where will Jacob be? I just care about him a lot and would do anything to be with him, but if he's happier with Bella, so be it. Everyone says that I'm an idiot and that Jacob doesn't notice me, but whatever. If it's meant to be, it'll happen. All I can do is be there for him when he needs it, or whenever Bella's not. Ugh. So the Cullens are a hot topic nowadays, seeing as they're coming back after leaving for some unknown reason. I really don't mind the Cullens. I don't see why we have to think they're horrible beings. They've never done anything to us, and I think that us Quileutes are too judgmental. One bad egg does it in for the carton, you know? I think one of them is named Rose or something? That one gives me the creeps, but the other ones are all really sweet. Her mate seems like he could be my best friend: rugged, athletic, fun. I like being active. I like being right. I like comforting people and giving advice. I make better friends with boys than any old girl. Girls are bitches. Seriously. They whine about the silliest of things and create so much unnecessary drama. All the girls at LaPush are in the same mindset, I'm sure. All I want is to defend my tribe, be the best I can be, and maybe be with Jacob...sometimes. Ugh, that Bella. I don't hate her, I just...despise her. She's playing Jacob for a fool, and he doesn't know it. He doesn't realize that Edward is going to uproot everything they've worked towards, but if I try to tell him that, I'm sure he'd just claw my face out. I wish I liked someone less difficult. Life can be complicated.

[/doHTML]

QUOTE
Hurry up, boys. It had been Sam's idea to run each morning to bond and wake up and keep fit, but it became a sort of competition to Dianna. The rest of the pack slowly ambled out and ran slower than normal. Dianna made sure that she brought the heat and kicked it up a few notches. It impressed everyone at first, then just made everyone annoyed. She didn't care. She was faster...or more awake. Or a show-off.

Whatever. She was first. Dianna let out a whine of impatience as the pack slowly made its way to the clearing that she was in. The woods were so peaceful as the sun was rising. Nature never ceased to amaze Dianna. She looked around at the new life around her, the glistening dew on the grass, and the light songs of birds just waking up, serenading the sun. She watched as the day's first rays played upon her black coat. She stretched a little and looked behind at the pack. They were close enough.

Something akin to a grin flashed onto her canine face as she allowed herself to fly over the ground, running faster and harder than the others. Running always felt good, liberating and exciting. The sun was moving fast today, but Dianna knew that she would certainly beat the sun at its own game. She would make it back to the house before the rest of them and before the sun could completely reveal its splendor. She crouched low and then sprang for the house, her full body in motion. It was like a dark blur through the trails. The dew clung to her coat as she rushed home, panting but focused. Her olive-brown eyes were intense and she swore she could hear her heart pounding loud in her ears.

Dianna hit the side of the house with her body, slamming to the ground. She had overestimated the distance and was a little burned out. She laid sideways on the ground, her black body expanding and contracting with each needed breath. After a good five minutes, she trod into the house, but not before shaking the dew from her fur. The women hated wet dog smell. Dianna entered the bathroom and phased. She grabbed shampoo and body wash and began to take a well-deserved shower.

It seemed like a peaceful idea until she heard the rest of the pack entering. They obviously had woken up because they sounded like a pack of elephants upon arrival. All of sudden there was a lull in sound. Dianna turned the shower off and reached for a towel from the cabinet when she suddenly heard human voices, hurried and frantic. It was breakfast time.

"Of course." Dianna mumbled to herself. Those boys better not eat all the food. I'm starving.

Then get out of the shower, you idiot! Jacob laughed. She sighed. Sometimes hearing other people's thoughts was weird and NOT HELPFUL. EVER. She opened the door of the bathroom, allowing a bit of steam to float free, and entered her bedroom. She changed into a deep orange tank top that showed off her chest nicely. It wasn't like she was really trying to impress anyone, but that was a plus. She threw on a pair of skinny jeans and her cowboy boots and quickly used a blow dryer on her damp hair.

She entered the kitchen to find a mess of empty plates and a pile of boys on the couch watching football. Dianna rolled her eyes as she opened the fridge and pulled out a gigantic roast beef sandwich. This time she had planned ahead and pre-made the sandwich the night before. She slowly unwrapped it from its plastic cover, crinkling it only slightly.

Heads turned from the TV to the sandwich within a millisecond. "Yo, where'd you get that sandwich?" The boys' mouths were watering as they eyed the sandwich.

"You snooze you lose, boys." Dianna said through a mouthful of roast beef. Victory never tasted so...tasty.

okay, first off, i love your app. really, it's great. but since female
shifters are rare, we are only allowing the three extra female
canons, and one is still open, the knight twin. so if you'd like
to have her instead, i can change names for you and you just
need to tweek you app a bit, and you're good to go!

Hmmm. I really like the character concept of Knight, but I don't wanna be a little blonde child...could they somehow be fraternal twins? Or like, really close cousins? I could incorporate the divorce from Dianna's parents with her father, like their fathers were twins and after the divorce, he came back to LaPush for comfort. It just so happens that his brother has a girl the same age as his daughter and that helps, and the two become the best of friends, which is odd for Dianna since she's not the type to make friends with a girl. When her best and only friend changes before her, therein lies the problem...

Is this bad? I really feel like a wolf should look more...Native American, not to be racist. I can change, though, if this isn't acceptable.

i don't mind if they're fraternal twins. you'll just have to ask courtney about it. i'm sure that she wouldn't mind, and if not, we could probably always change it to cousins. (=

bah, i feel like i'm being so nit picky, but being fair at the same
time XD. anyways. i love what you have started here. but we're
looking for at least 800 words minimum. maybe talk a bit more
about her personality, what she thinks of certain members of
the pack (does she or does she not get along with them), what
she thinks of the vampires and the cullens... and expand on
those things a bit? once you do that, i'll accept you for sure.

Sorry! My brain totally blanked for ten seconds. I realized it was sort of short...

But I'm done now!
