Ok I hope this is ok...I will be posting the first 36 chapters here in another thread, tomorrow probably, but it's just easier for me to do it that way. If the mods would rather I'd keep the whole story in one thread just let me know ^^;;

Anyway, for everyone who's been following this story (and thank you so much!) I'm really sorry for the huge time gap for this chapter....I really hope I can write a bit more consistantly. Now that I've written this chapter, which is kinda...blah to me, the next chapters should be more intense and dramatic, so I think I will be more excited to write them ^^;;
Also this chapter is dedicated to Kenni( from DTH), for being the one who inspired me to get back to working on this .

Chapter 37

After the utter chaos Tony’s somewhat unfortunate statement about his and WooHyuk’s sex life had caused that morning, they’d managed to calm KangTa down enough to make it to a late breakfast which remarkably went off without much of an incident, though Tony had a deep suspicion that HeeJun and KangTa were purposefully acting extra affectionate with each other just to unnerve the waiter.

“Well, WooHyuk,” HeeJun started after they’d made it back to their apartment, “What do you think, up for some dancing?”

WooHyuk’s eyes instantly lit up but KangTa frowned a little. “Junie-bear, now don’t overdo it just to try and impress him, you know what the doctor said about your back.”

“What am I , fifty!?” HeeJun huffed, becoming flustered for the first time that WooHyuk had seen, “I’m not some geezer Hyun, I’m perfectly capable of keeping up with WooHyuk.”

“Yes well, darling, maybe you can, but you couldn’t keep up with me in bed last night, so I just think you shouldn’t push yourself so hard,” KangTa said in what sounded like a sincere worry.

“I told you there’s no need to worry Baby, “ HeeJun defended.

WooHyuk watched the interaction fascinatedly, leaning on Tony’s shoulder. “Hmm, I might start having to worry about you throwing your hip out or something pretty soon too huh?” he whispered into Tony’s ear in the most innocent sounding voice he had.

“Wha!?” Tony shrieked in indignation. “You brat! I am NOT that old!”

“Well I’m just saying...” WooHyuk blinked his eyes innocently before dissolving into laughter as Tony tackled him to the couch, attacking him with a cushion.

“You two, get a room.” KangTa said, apparently having resolved the issue with HeeJun, who was holding an arm around his waist. “Ours happens to be available if you want,” He offered with a glint in his eye.

“Um, that’s ok,” Tony said quickly, sitting up.

HeeJun shrugged. “Your loss. We just got new sheets and everything. Anyway, come on back, we cleared out our spare bedroom last week, there’s plenty of space to dance.”

“HeeJun...” Tony started, following him down the hall, “if you cleared out your spare bedroom, where are WooHyuk and I sleeping?”

“I was gonna set you up on the couch actually, didn’t you always say you loved sleeping on our couch?”

“It’s not going to fit two people!”

“Don’t worry Sugarpop,” WooHyuk intervened in a far too happy voice, “you can sleep on top of me.”

“Well there you go. Problem solved Sugarpop,” HeeJun snickered.

“Whatever, Junie-bear.” Tony rolled his eyes.

“It’s either that or sharing the bed with Hyunie and I,”

“Oh could they!?” KangTa had that overly excited glint in his eye again. “It’d be fun! We could have a four...”

“Absolutely not!” Tony yelled scandalized, reaching up to cover WooHyuk’s ears with his hands. “We’re taking the couch!”

They spent most of the rest of the day dancing. Rather HeeJun and WooHyuk danced while KangTa and Tony watched. Tony didn’t really dance, at least he hadn’t in a long time, but he could happily watch WooHyuk for hours on end. He could practically see WooHyuk’s passion, his love for dancing in every motion.

“He is good,” HeeJun started, coming to sit by Tony and puffing a little from dancing for so long,. “Very good. And he certainly has amazing stamina!” He nudged Tony and snickered at his own double entendre.
“Seriously though, he has a lot of potential, and I’m saying that as a talent producer, not just as your friend Tony.”

“Yes I know he does,” Tony smiled fondly. “What are you going to start employing my lover now, as well as your own?”

HeeJun shook his head. “No, he’s not there yet, but...WooHyuk, come over, “ HeeJun waved WooHyuk over to him during a pause as the CD switched songs. “ I have to admit I’m impressed,” He told WooHyuk, who beamed at the praise. “Are you planning on going into dance professionally?

WooHyuk’s smile faded slightly. “I’d like to,” he said, looking down, “but,” he flushed, feeling foolishly young at the admission, “my parents are against it.”

HeeJun nodded thoughtfully. “Well,” he said, “whatever happens I’d just like you to know that I happen have a good friend who’s teaching at Shinenihs Dance Academy. They usually only take dancers who can compete at the college level but if your still interested and able in a few years, I’d be happy to put in a good word for you.”

“Thank you. Really, that means a lot,” WooHyuk said sincerely. Another weight was lifting off his chest. For years now the only adults who had encouraged him with dance were his instructors and more recently of course, Tony. He felt, oddly perhaps, but profoundly, a sense of comfort and belonging, like he was at last finding a place where he fit. Sliding his hand along the floor, he covered Tony’s with his own and squeezed it warmly.

“So,” Tony asked with a yawn as he pulled his shirt over his head and donned his pajama top that night, “did you have a good time today?”

“Mmhmm,” WooHyuk affirmed, helping Tony to button up his front. “Still, not quite as good as being all alone with you, but they’d be my second choice.”

“I’m glad,” Tony smiled. “Though I still can’t believe there’s only this couch for the both of us...”

“It’s all right, really,” WooHyuk smoothed out the blankets and sheets that had been laid out for them on the couch and laid down in the makeshift bed. “Come on,” he patted his chest with a grin, indicating where Tony was supposed to lay.

Tony laughed as he settled himself down, but on the inside he was fighting little shivers of desire. He hadn’t said anything but he’d been craving WooHyuk, his kisses and touches, since his dance session that afternoon. It was frustrating that they weren’t in Tony’s own bed now, that even though they were alone at last, they still had to stay in control.
“WooHyuk,” he whispered in his ear.

“Hmm?” WooHyuk inquired, absently rubbing his hand along Tony’s back.

“Kiss me?”

“I thought you’d never ask,” WooHyuk smiled as he took Tony’s face in his hands and captured his lips.

“Mmmm,” Tony hummed, losing himself in the sensation, forgetting where he was. He pressed his lips harder against WooHyuk’s, brushing his tongue against his bottom lip teasingly. WooHyuk groaned. “We shouldn’t go too far here,” he managed, though his hands didn’t seem to be listening to his brain as they slid under the edge of Tony’s pajama top, sliding over his hips and narrow waist.

“We’ll stop before then,” Tony said vaguely as put his hands on either side of WooHyuk’s face and kissed him deeply. He could feel his body warming until he thrummed with a familiar heat, and the contrast of WooHyuk’s cool hands caressing his hot skin, moving over his back beneath his shirt, was driving him crazy. It seemed like steam should be forming wherever WooHyuk touched him. Unable to take it anymore Tony broke away from their kiss and sat up, urgently tugging at his pajama top, intent on getting it off.

“Ooh, may I join?”

“Yaaa!” Tony screamed as KangTa’s disembodied face suddenly appeared over the edge of the couch.

WooHyuk sat up abruptly, blushing as KangTa stood from where he had been crouched by the side of the couch. It wasn’t that he was embarrassed to be found making out with Tony, but the conversation he’d had with KangTa in the bathroom earlier that day had suddenly popped into his head.

“What are you doing out here!?” Tony demanded, glaring at KangTa.

“Well it is my apartment. I was just going to the kitchen to get a glass of water when I saw you two about to christen our couch.”

“We weren’t going to...” Tony started to explain, but KangTa interrupted him.

“Well don’t let me stop you,” he winked at WooHyuk, “ And I think your sex kitten has a few new tricks for you.”

Even in the semidarkness Tony could see WooHyuk’s face turn a brilliant shade. “New tricks?” he asked wide-eyed after KangTa had disappeared down the hall.

“I...I..,” WooHyuk stammered, “...asked him for advice today.”

“Advice?” Tony asked, an amused smile slowly forming on his face.

“I just wanted to win our bet,” WooHyuk explained, fiddling with the
edge of the blanket.

“So that’s why you looked so mortified this morning,” Tony laughed, his eyes sparkling with humor. “What exactly did he tell you?”

Face still flaming WooHyuk leaned in and whispered in Tony’s ear. Tony made an odd choking sound and stared at WooHyuk.

“Well...” he said after a minute, “you do realize, that wouldn’t actually count for our bet.”

“Yeah, I guess your right...” WooHyuk shrugged his shoulders, still fiddling nervously with the blanket. He kept glancing shyly out of the corner of his eye at Tony.

“And I don’t...have anything like that...”

WooHyuk gave a short nervous laugh. “”I didn’t even know they existed. Until KangTa showed me a drawer full.”

“He didn’t! He did? Oh my God,” Tony fell on his side laughing as WooHyuk nodded his head. “Honestly WooHyuk” Tony started in a more serious voice, gazing up at WooHyuk, “sex with you is amazing. You certainly do NOT need anything to make it better for me, much less a...a sexual apparatus.”

“Apparatus? You make it sound like part of a gymnasium,” WooHyuk snickered.

“Hmm, and next we have the pommel horse, the parallel bars and the cock-ring” Tony said with a completely straight face before uncontrollable laughter started to bubbled out as WooHyuk collapsed against him, shaking with mirth.

“But really,” Tony managed after his laughter had quieted, “really,” he flushed, “I’ve never wanted to have sex with anyone the way I do with you. I can’t stop thinking about you.”

“ Really?” WooHyuk planted his hands on on either side of Tony’s head and leaned forward to hover over him grinning. “Tell me more about is. I’m I just that amazingly sexy?”

“Hmmm, “ Tony hummed coyly, “maybe it’s because I know you adore me. Or maybe because I know I adore you.” Then he teased, “Or maybe it’s just your amazing thigh muscles.”

“It must be the muscles,” WooHyuk laughed, but Tony could tell that he was touched by the softness in his eyes.

“Tony?”

“Mmm?”

“I do adore you,” WooHyuk said in his ear as he laid down on top of Tony and closed his eyes.

“I know you do,” Tony answered him with a whisper, stroking his hair. “I know.”

He stayed up for a long time that night after WooHyuk had fallen asleep, wishing with inexplicable fervor that he could hold back the next day from coming and just stay with WooHyuk like that, holding him close, for a long long time.

LOL :cryblood: Win.

Thank you so much for posting it here. We need a good fic like this on the forum. And thank you for updating! I was missing it :bigtear:

I would suggest we merge this thread with the one you post the rest in, but it puts them together in chronological order...So it would be a bit off with this being first. I just suggest you add a link to this in your other thread so new readers can find it.

Chapter 38

Sunday began sunny and beautiful. They spent breakfast with KangTa and HeeJun and headed home midmorning. Originally they’d planned to spend most of the day in Seoul, but sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning they’d both realized that what they really wanted was time alone together. WooHyuk drove again, though Tony didn’t know how he did it. He himself was so distracted with thoughts of cuddling up with WooHyuk in bed and making love all afternoon that he kept losing the conversation until finally, laughing, WooHyuk decided to just turn the radio on instead.

“You’ll go home tonight then?” Tony asked WooHyuk as they pulled up into the parking lot at Tony’s apartment building after two and a half long hours of driving.

“Yeah,” WooHyuk said with a small yawn. “I wish I could stay with you but I really do have to.” He didn’t mention that he hadn’t bothered to inform his parents that he’d be gone all weekend, and despite everything he didn’t want them to worry he was dead in a ditch or something.

“As long as I get you to myself this afternoon,” Tony smiled as he got out of the car, taking deep breath of the sharp, frigid air.

“You couldn’t get rid of me if you tried my sugarcoated strawberry.”

Shaking with laughter and feeling warm all over despite the temperature, Tony took WooHyuk’s hand and together they headed up to his apartment.

Half way up the stairs, there was a surprised sounding shout, and someone came running down at them. Startled, Tony pulled his hand out of WooHyuk’s just as Mr. Shin accosted them.

“Mr. An! Where have you been!? I’ve been trying to reach you all day!”

“What’s going on!?” Tony asked in alarm, his mind going through all the worst case scenarios. He’d turned his cellphone off for the weekend, not wanting to be bothered by all the weird phone calls.

“Sir, I can’t believe it actually happened here, at my building. I’m ashamed to admit it. I let my own tenant down.” He lowered his head.

“What happened?” Tony asked dazedly, a feeling of dread gripping his heart. Unthinkingly he reached out and grabbed WooHyuk’s hand again, squeezing it tight.

“Saturday night, someone broke into your apartment.”

“What?” Tony asked in complete shock. He felt WooHyuk’s hand tighten around his almost painfully.

“I don’t know if anything was taken, the police said things didn’t look very disturbed though. I’ve already had your lock changed. Mr. An I truly apologize... ” Mr. Shin continued to blabber apologies but Tony had tuned him out. The phone calls, the doorbell, wasn’t there a good chance these were connected? Fear gripped him. Was someone actually after him for some reason? Yet he couldn’t think of who or why anybody would wish real harm on him.

He felt WooHyuk leading him into the apartment and he looked around blankly. It looked exactly the same, but somehow that fact was almost chilling when he thought that there had been someone, some unknown person lurking around inside.

“Tony, you’d better check what’s missing, you have to report it to the police,” WooHyuk said. He was still holding tightly to Tony’s hand and his expression was grim.

“Yeah,” Tony said weakly. “Do you wanna start with the kitchen?” WooHyuk nodded and Tony sighed deeply. It all seemed unreal.

An hour later and the sense of unreality had grown ten fold. Nothing was missing. All the things a robber would normally take where still there. The TV, computer, CDs, DVDs, it was all still there, nothing shifted or broken. Of course it wasn’t bad that nothing had been stolen, but on the other hand, it made all the more real his fears that whomever had broken in was not just some random robber. After all, if someone had broken in and not stolen a thing, then what were they after?

He was making a final sweep of his bedroom when he saw it. The edge of something flat poking out from under the box he kept his earrings in. He slid it out, flipping it over to see what it was, and his heart stopped. Suddenly, he knew exactly who had broken in, and why they hadn’t taken anything. It was a photograph taken long ago. His younger self grinned up at him giving a peace sign, his other arm draped around the shoulders of none other than Park JunJin.
Shaking, he collapsed onto the bed, holding the photo in his lap. He had no idea why the man would break into his apartment and leave this for him, but remembering the frightening, obsessive way JunJin had acted towards him that night before Christmas, the uneasy fear he’d been experiencing deepened into something much closer to terror.

“Tony? Are you ok? You look so pale,” WooHyuk asked softly as he came into the room.

“Y..yeah,” Tony managed, quickly hiding the photograph by dropping it behind the bed. He didn’t want to get WooHyuk involved in this. He’d go crazy with worry first of all. And more than anything, he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if WooHyuk ended up getting hurt. If JunJin had broken into his apartment, there was no telling what he might do, or how far he might go. All these thoughts flashed through Tony’s mind and as WooHyuk sat next to him on the bed, he flung himself into his arms.

“I’m scared,” he admitted in a quiet voice, hiding his face in WooHyuk’s chest.

“Me too,” WooHyuk replied into his hair. “Tony just...thank God you weren’t here alone last night. Thank God your safe.” His arms tightened almost painfully around Tony’s back, holding him as closely and tightly as possible. Inside, WooHyuk felt worse than ever before that he couldn’t stay with Tony every night. What if something like this happened again? Tony wasn’t strong, he wouldn’t be able defend himself easily, and the thought of him hurt, suffering, or worse, was more than he could bare. And tonight of all nights, when Tony would be still frightened and shaken and needing him, he absolutely could not stay, no matter how he wished otherwise.

Tony let WooHyuk hold him, but inside he felt uneasy. He longed to tell WooHyuk the truth, to confide in him how frightened he was and why, to reveal the concreteness of his fears. But he just couldn’t bring himself to draw him into such a situation. Anyway, WooHyuk had his own troubles. He had his family situation to worry about, he didn’t need this on his shoulders as well.

Both of them keeping their worried thoughts to themselves, they clung to each other for whatever comfort they could get. Eventually WooHyuk eased him onto his back and began kissing him tenderly.

“I won’t let anything bad happen to you,” he whispered, though he felt uncertain that he could keep those words, no matter how badly he wanted to be able to.

“I know,” Tony answered simply, knowing that WooHyuk’s heart was in his words. ‘For now,’ he thought, ‘while he’s here with me, it’s ok to feel protected by him. To feel safe.’ He slid his arms around WooHyuk’s back, tugged him down against his chest.

They made love, slowly and sweetly with the bright, cool light of the winter sun spilling through the window and over the bed. With WooHyuk over him, all around him, in him, Tony felt any fear melt away, and as he slid his hands over WooHyuk’s back, gripping his shoulders, and arched his hips urgently into WooHyuk’s touch, crying out as pleasure overtook him, he’d forgotten anything outside of the two of them.

“Tony,” WooHyuk said, his face still glowing with pleasure and love, “I think I’m catching up with you. You’d better watch out or I’m going to be wining our bet by a long shot.” He propped himself up on one elbow, rubbing the knuckles of his free hand against the side of Tony’s face.

“Hmm, you think so?” Tony asked with a grin. He was focusing all his attention on WooHyuk alone, determined not to let his worry and fear into their space. It would come again when WooHyuk left that evening, but until then he refused to let it in. He took hold of WooHyuk’s hand and brought it to his lips, kissing each knuckle carefully. “I’m not so sure I believe you.”

“Well I’ll just have to prove it to you then, won’t I?” Grinning widely he rolled on top of Tony and kissed him playfully on the nose and lips. “If you can keep up with me, Teacher.”

“Brat!” Tony swatted the back of WooHyuk’s head. “We’ll see who can keep with who.” With that he rolled them over so that he was the one hovering over WooHyuk, his thighs straddling WooHyuk’s hips, and devoured him in a hot, urgent kiss.

‘Please don’t go.’ Tony pleaded with WooHyuk inside his head several hours later as he lay in bed watching his lover dressing after taking a shower. He wouldn’t say the words out loud, it wouldn’t be fair to WooHyuk to make him feel guilty about something he couldn’t help. Tony knew WooHyuk didn’t want to leave as it was. If he begged him to stay and keep him safe, it would only be that much harder for the both of them.

The bed shifted as WooHyuk sat on the edge to pull his socks on. He turned to look at Tony, taking in the miserable expression that the older man simply couldn’t hide. Scooting closer he leaned over, putting his face against Tony’s shoulder, laying against him quietly for a long moment. The sun had already set, though it was still early, and the only light was the warm glow created by the lamp on the bedside table. Finally WooHyuk gained the willpower to sit up again.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said. It sounded so simple, but he knew that for him. what lay between then and the next morning was not going to be easy to get through. He had his parents to deal with, and it wasn’t going to be pretty. It was so frustrating at a time like this when he could tell that Tony was still deeply distressed about the break-in. They’d had a few happy hours together but WooHyuk could tell that the closer it got to the time he was to leave, the more agitated Tony became.

“Yeah, tomorrow,” Tony said miserably. On top of JunJin, tomorrow there would be Lee Hyori and whatever sad news she surely brought. He had the sinking sensation that things were beginning to fall apart. He needed WooHyuk with him this night, but it just wasn’t possible.
“I love you,” he said.

“I love you too . Tony, I’ll call you ok? As soon as I can.” Tony nodded his head, smiling weakly as WooHyuk grabbed his bags off the floor and left the room. He looked down at his lap, then drew his knees up to his chest. WooHyuk had been gone five seconds and he already felt nervous.

The sudden jarringly bright jangle of his cellphone going off nearly stopped his heart. Nervously he grabbed the phone from the bedside table , dreading it might be one of those silent calls, that he was now starting to suspect quite strongly where coming from JunJin. After taking a deep breath, he flipped the phone open. His eyes widened in surprise at the name of the caller, then he smiled and answered.

“You weren’t kidding about as soon as possible,” he said, a warm feeling growing in his heart.

His bedroom door opened and WooHyuk leaned in, cellphone to his ear. “I told you I would,” he smiled, waving his fingers at Tony. “Besides I had to tell you, I forgot something important.”

“Something important?”

“Yeah, my goodnight kiss.” WooHyuk answered, coming to sit on the edge of the bed again. He leaned over and smothered Tony’s face with sweet kisses until the older man practically glowed. “There,” he said, finally pulling away, “I can’t believe I almost forgot.” He squeezed Tony’s hand tight. “I will see you, “ he glanced at the clock, “in twelve hours and twenty three minutes exactly.”

“Ok,” Tony couldn’t help but smile. “Twelve hours and twenty three minutes.”

Twelve hours and twenty three minutes. Twelve hours and twenty three minutes. Twelve hours and twenty three minutes. He repeated the words in his head over and over as he watched WooHyuk’s back leaving the room.

All right, new chapter! And it's a pretty long one too ^^;; Enjoy!

Chapter 39

As soon as Tony heard WooHyuk close his front door, he laid down, pulling the covers up around his head, and closed his eyes. After a minute he sat up again and got out of bed. Barefoot, he walked through his apartment, turning on the lights as he went, and checked that all his windows were locked, which was ridiculous as he lived on the fifth floor. Then he three times checked that his front door was locked and dead-bolted. He debated whether or not to take one of the kitchen knives and put in his bedroom, but eventually decided against it and grabbed his caste-iron skillet instead, stowing it under his bed with just the handle sticking out for easy access. Finally he closed and locked his bedroom door, then got into bed again. He felt half ridiculous for being so paranoid, nothing was even happening and already his heart was beating fast in his chest and his palms were sweaty. Every muscle in his body was tense and every sound he heard, every creak of the building, had him on edge. He thought about switching his TV on, but he feared it might drown out any suspicious sounds. Twelve hours...how could he survive twelve hours like this?

He tried to calm himself. JunJin hadn’t threatened him after all. He’d left a picture with the two of them smiling together; nothing creepy. Now if he’d cut Tony’s head out of the picture or blacked out his face or something, that would a bad sign, but it wasn’t like that. On the other hand, they very fact that the man thought breaking and entering would be a good way to deliver a picture, instead of sending it in the mail, or even slipping it under the door, was plenty of proof that he had already lost his marbles.

Tony twisted in his bed and reached his arm down, fishing the photo from its hiding place behind his bed. He sat up again, studying it more closely. It still hurt, he realized, gazing at their bright, smiling faces. He’d thrown out all the pictures he had with JunJin in them long ago, wanting to forget about his very existence. Looking at this image from the past now, remembering how happy he’d been that day, it still hurt. Even with WooHyuk, even with the happiness he’d found again, he couldn’t just erase JunJin from his memories, the bad parts or the good, and because of that there would probably be a part of him that would hurt for the rest of his life.

With a sigh he stuffed the picture in the drawer of his bedside table and grabbed his wallet off the top of it, pulling something out of it. He smoothed it out and held it under the lamp light, a bright smile lighting his face. It was a polaroid taken just yesterday by HeeJun of he and WooHyuk, leaning against each other’s shoulders, hands clasped between them. They weren’t smiling at the camera, they were smiling at each other. It was ok, he thought, even he carried scars in his heart, because what he had with WooHyuk now, even if it was short, was something so amazing and so bright, that it all but drowned them out.

He slid the photo under his pillow, his fingers brushing it. He did find sleep, though it was fitful and broken, but every time he woke, his hand would find the picture, and he’d be able to drift off again. It was his protective charm.

WooHyuk’s night was not exactly happy either. He’d driven home, dreading his arrival every
second. He couldn’t even distract himself by thinking about Tony or dance, because those topics made him feel even more distressed. When he got to his house, he stood poised outside the front door for a long moment, ears tingeing red with the cold, before finding the courage to step inside.

The low sound of clinking silverware alerted him that his parents were having dinner. Shuffling his feet he went to the dining room and stood outside, leaning his back next to the door as he tried to steel himself emotionally. His parents were awful to him, he shouldn’t care what they thought of him. That’s what he told himself. But it couldn’t explain why he felt so terrible now. He should have left a note, or called, or something. He remembered when his brother had gone missing for a few hours one day while he was playing outside. His parents had been beside themselves with worry. His mother especially. Gripping his own small hand tightly she’d gone to all the neighbors houses, weeping as she searched for him.

Taking a deep breath, WooHyuk went inside. There was a moment of utter silence as his parents stared up at him.

“H..hi,” WooHyuk said awkwardly. “Hey, um...you know,” he shrugged his shoulders, “I moved my dance trophies out of the house.” He couldn’t think of what else to say.

His father slammed is chopsticks down on the table with a startling bang, and stood abruptly. “Next time move yourself,” he said flatly, and left.

Stunned, WooHyuk could only stare silently at his feet. “Weren’t....” he started softly, “weren’t you worried about me?” And right then he knew that a part of him had purposefully not let his parents know he was leaving. Not because he thought they would stop him, but because he wanted to see their worry when he came back. Even if they yelled at him, he wanted to see that they still cared.

“Worried? WooHyuk I had to beg your father not to kick you out. ” came his mother’s curt voice. “And I don’t even know if was worth it. I don’t know what to do, I just don’t know! I’ve tried everything I could think of! What, you want us to take your car? Your phone? What do I need to do to keep you in line!? ”

WooHyuk remained still, head bent and staring at the floor, letting his bangs hide his face. He didn’t want his mother to see that he was crying. There was a long moment were no one spoke, then WooHyuk turned and left, fleeing to his bedroom.
‘I should have stayed with Tony,’ he thought numbly as he closed the door behind him, sinking to the floor with his back to it. Not quite sure what he was feeling, he looked blankly around his bare looking room. ‘I don’t belong here. I haven’t for a long time.’

He grabbed a cigarette and lighter from his bottom drawer and opened his window, feeling the air especially cold where tears had wet his face. Tomorrow, he decided firmly, watching his puff of smoke swirl out and dissipate into the night, he’d start working on his plan. He’d talk with JaeWon about what he could do. He had a year and a half of high school left, but he’d make it. He’d struggle and claw his way through, so that when he came out the other side, he’d be able to stand on his own. So he could move in with Tony without feeling ashamed or useless. So his parents would have to see that he was a son they could be proud of.

When he finally slept, he dreamt first of being a child, playing happily with his parents and
brother, feeling loved. And when that dream faded it was replaced by one of Tony, holding him close, whispering in his ear, making him feel loved in a way that was both very different and ultimately the same. When he woke in the morning, he felt strangely at peace.

Tony arrived at school Monday morning with dark circles beneath his eyes from his fitful night. He’d gotten maybe half the sleep he needed. Still , he felt awake and almost hyper aware, like how he used to feel after staying up all night studying for tests in college. Like as soon as whatever was supposed to happen happened, he’d just crash.

He was walking through the hall to his room when he ran into Lee Hyori coming the opposite way.

“Oh, Hyori...” he started nervously, glancing at his watch. He was supposed to be meeting WooHyuk in his classroom in less than five minutes. Besides, maybe he was being a coward, but a part of him wanted to put off hearing what she had to say as long as possible.

“Tony!” she exclaimed, seeming surprised and nervous at running into him. “I...ah...”

“Actually I wanted to ask you, could we save our talk until later today? Maybe after classes this afternoon? I have something to take care of right now.”

“Oh...yeah, yeah that’s fine, perfectly fine,” she said, seeming relieved.

Relieved himself, Tony finally made it to his classroom and was unlocking the door when the Vice-Principle happened to pass by him.

“Oh, Mr. An! I heard the news, congratulations!” he said cheerfully as he walked past.

“Huh?” Tony blinked in confusion, but the other man had already turned the corner. Tony shook his head. “What news? Is he confusing me with someone else?” Deciding it was probably of no consequence, he shrugged his shoulders and went inside.

A minute later, exactly on schedule, his classroom door burst open, and WooHyuk came rushing in, practically tackling him as he covered Tony in kisses. “You’re all right,” he said, almost to himself.

“Yes,” Tony smiled, enjoying the feeling of WooHyuk’s arms snug around him. “I’m ok. Nothing happened last night. And what about you? Did everything go ok?”

WooHyuk looked down for a moment. “Tony, as long as I have you, nothing can keep me down.”

Tony nodded, aware that WooHyuk hadn’t really answered, but not wanting to push him when he wasn’t ready to talk. There were certainly things he was still keeping from his young lover as well. Besides, he didn’t want to dwell on bad things now. They had half an hour just to be with each other before class started, and he wasn’t going to ruin it by bringing up unpleasant topics. Instead he just closed his eyes and laid his head on WooHyuk’s shoulder.

“Tired?” WooHyuk asked quietly, sliding is hands up to massage the back of Tony’s neck.

“Mmm, didn’t sleep well without you,” Tony answered.

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be,” Tony said seriously. “It’s not your fault. I know how much you wanted to stay with me.

“I dreamed about you.”

“Really?” Tony smiled warmly. “A good dream?”

“Of course! Any dream with you in it is good by definition!”

Tony laughed and moved back to look WooHyuk in the eyes, brushing his bangs out of his face. “Ok. You have dance tonight?”

“Yeah, JaeWon’s gonna make me work twice as hard after I missed Saturday. I don’t mind really though”

“Well I’ll call you later tonight then, ok?”

“I’ll be waiting.”

They smiled at each other, able to forget all their worries for the short time they were together. Eventually though, they began to hear students in the halls, and ruefully broke apart from their embrace, though not before WooHyuk managed to steal one last, deep kiss.

‘He’s gonna get me in trouble one of these days,’ Tony thought, not without a smile, shaking his head as WooHyuk managed to slip out the door mere moments before his first student walked in.

WooHyuk arrived early at his dance school that afternoon with a plan.

“JaeWon,” he found his teacher sitting in his office, typing on his computer.

“WooHyuk,” Jaewon raised his eyebrows a little. WooHyuk didn’t usually seek him out. For one moment, he was sure it had something to do with what had happened with Tony, but when he looked at WooHyuk’s face, he realized there was no way WooHyuk could know what was going on yet. He didn’t look miserable, but rather had a determined, if somewhat grim look in his eyes.

WooHyuk leaned forward, planting both his palms flat on JaeWon’s desk. “I need your help.” He proceeded to spill out his whole plan to JaeWon, who took it all in silently.

“You want to fit five lessons into two days?” he asked, once WooHyuk had finished. “WooHyuk, I understand the situation that your in, but I don’t want to see you burn yourself out. It’s too much, even for you.”

“I can do it,” WooHyuk said firmly. “JaeWon, I can’t afford to slow down. I have to get better as fast as I can. You’ve always said I could make it in professional dance, well this could be my only chance. My parents probably won’t support me after I graduate.”

JaeWon looked carefully at WooHyuk. He remembered the first time he’d seen him, just a child of eight years, following after his older brother. But it wasn’t long before dancing became his real passion, and it hadn’t changed or wavered in all these years. JaeWon thought about what was about to happen with Tony, who he could tell was maybe the only thing WooHyuk loved as much as he loved dancing, and suddenly he found himself agreeing too WooHyuk. He might have to watch one of those loves die in WooHyuk’s eyes, but he’d do all he could to save the other.

“WooHyuk, you said you’d get a part-time job to pay the tuition? I think I can help you there.” Hardly believing what he was doing, JaeWon found himself dialing a number he hadn’t thought he’d be dialing for a long time.

“Hello? Yeah, Mom? It’s me.”

Tony was packing up for the day, just finishing writing out some notes for the next day on his white board when there was a tentative knock on his classroom door.

“Come in?” he said, not quite sure who would be coming to see him after school.

“Tony?” Hyori cautiously poked her head in.

“Hyori...” Tony said quietly. Inwardly he felt a horrible sinking feeling. He’d forgotten all about her. Suddenly he remembered Friday’s phone conversation with JaeWon and his stomach tightened up into knots. Whatever she had to say, it wasn’t going to be anything he wanted to hear. “So....what was it you wanted to talk to me about?” He forced the words out. Even if he didn’t want to, he had to get this over with.

“Ah...you know, maybe, we should go outside to talk,” Hyori said. She seemed at least as nervous as he did, wringing her hands and biting her lip.

“Ok,” Tony agreed, picking up his briefcase. “I was about to head out anyway.”

They walked in silence, not quite sure what to say to each other, heading out of the school towards the teacher’s parking lot. It was next to one of the practice fields which was lined with benches were students often ate lunch when the weather was good. Choosing one out of easy earshot from any teachers who might be heading for their cars, they sat next to each other. Neither of them spoke for a long moment, looking out at the empty, frost covered field, glistening sharply in the weak sun. Then, finally, Hyori spoke.

“Tony, I...before I say anything I want you to know that I liked you. I really, really liked you. I still like you. It’s the strangest thing. I still like you. I don’t know how. I should....I should be....no,” she shook her head. ‘I should be disgusted by you,’ is what she had thought to say, but she couldn’t force the words out. Not when Tony was sitting next to her, looking suddenly so young, so frightened. He had to have realized that she knew. “I know,” she confirmed, “about you and WooHyuk. And I’ve done something about it. Tony, I liked you, I never thought that you’d do anything like this. So I’m going to believe that this was just a fluke, that...that you made an error in judgment, and it won’t happen again.”

“You...did something about it?” Tony asked. His voice was barely a whisper, his eyes looking beyond her, glazed, as though he didn’t understand what language she was speaking.

“Yes.” she said, and told him. Without waiting for a reply she stood and went to her car.
‘I won’t look back at him,’ she told herself over and over, but something in her overcame her resolve, and she turned, just in time to see Tony slowly drop his face into his hands, his shoulders shaking as he wept.

‘I have a job!’ WooHyuk thought, happy and a little overwhelmed at how things had worked out so easily for him. Who knew that JaeWon’s mom owned a Video and CD shop so close by. It was a perfect place for him to work. Starting tomorrow, he’d work every weekday after school. ‘Wait till I tell Tony,” he thought excitedly as he drove home. “Maybe I’ll surprise him somehow...” Obviously it wasn’t exciting in terms of how much it would cut into their time together, but this was an important investment for their future, and he was sure Tony would be able to appreciate that. They might have to suffer a little now, but eventually it would all pay off.

He was pulling into his driveway when his cellphone rang. The sweet sounding jangle told him that it was Tony. “Love of my life, could you just not wait to hear my sexy voice?” he started in a cheerful tone. “Tony? What...are you crying!?” WooHyuk’s tone turned to one of horror as he was answered only with Tony’s choked sounding sobs. “What’s wrong? What’s happened?”

“Please come,” was all that WooHyuk was able to decipher.

“Ok, I’m coming, right now. I’ll be there right away.”

‘Fuck’ he thought as he flipped his phone shut. ‘What now?’

WooHyuk didn’t bother knocking when he arrived at Tony’s apartment. Tony had given him a key so he let himself in, kicking his shoes off so hastily that he almost fell flat on his face.
He found Tony in his bedroom.

“Tony-ah?” he asked quietly as he slipped in.

“WooHyuk,” Tony was sitting hunched over on the edge of his bed, eyes red around the edges. He looked more miserable than WooHyuk had ever seen him. Considering WooHyuk had been there when he’d been terribly ill and suffering, that was saying something.
Immediately WooHyuk sat next to him, wrapping his arms tightly around him, kissing his temple. “What’s happened?” he asked. His voice was calm but inside he was going crazy with worry.

Tony shook his head, silently burying his face in WooHyuk’s chest. Then, after a long moment, he spoke. “WooHyuk, I need you.”

“I need you too,” WooHyuk answered.

“No I mean, right now, I need you.” he looked up at WooHyuk with huge, desperate eyes. “Please.”

“You mean...” WooHyuk started, flustered as he realized what Tony meant. “Right now?”

“Yes,” Tony answered, pulling him down into a kiss that was urgent, filled with a desperation that WooHyuk found distressing and frightening. He’d never seen Tony like this, it wasn’t like him.

“No, Tony, your upset. We should talk....oh,” his reasoning was cut off as Tony kissed him again and slid his hands up underneath his shirt.

“Please WooHyuk. Please just be with me. I really need you right now ok?”

“O...ok,” WooHyuk said hesitantly. He didn’t quite feel comfortable, but Tony was practically begging him. And his own body was starting to agree. He laid Tony on his back, kissing his mouth, running his hands along his sides. At first Tony accepted the gentle ministrations passively. WooHyuk, still uncertain, was going slowly, continuing just to kiss and touch in a manner that was more comforting than sexual. But after a few minutes of that, Tony began to grow impatient, whining and tugging at WooHyuk’s clothes.

“More,” he insisted, “faster.” He jerked his own shirt off over his head before latching his mouth onto WooHyuk’s neck, kissing and biting urgently.

“I think we should go slow,” WooHyuk told him, feeling at a loss. He’d certainly had his fantasies where Tony begged him for it like this, where they had fast, rough sex, but this was not how he had imagined it, nor how he wanted it.

“I can’t take slow right now,” Tony suddenly sounded almost in tears again. “Please WooHyuk, please just give me this,” he wrapped his arms around WooHyuk’s neck, putting his face against his shoulder.

WooHyuk was quiet for a long moment, letting Tony just cling to him. Finally he said, “Ok,” in a quiet voice. Without further hesitation he reached down and helped Tony out of his pants, then removed his own clothes, wondering if he’d even be able to perform the deed now. He was so worried about Tony it all but drowned out any arousal he’d felt earlier. Something terrible must have happened for his sweet, gentle lover to be acting like this. Still, he wanted to give Tony what he seemed to need so desperately. He started again with kissing, running his hands once more down Tony’s sides, but this time sent them further, along his butt, across his thighs. He slipped his hand down between Tony’s legs, continuing to kiss his mouth as he caressed his cock, teasing it into arousal. Tony spread his legs wider and moaned.

“WooHyuk,” he whimpered heatedly as WooHyuk slid his hand lower, rubbing lightly between his buttocks. The sound of his aroused voice was starting to get to WooHyuk. It was cutting through his worry and uncertainty.

“WooHyuk, WooHyuk,” Tony continued to encourage him vocally, arching his hips forward in an attempt to get more friction where he wanted it most. WooHyuk growled a little, his cock twitching at Tony’s wantonness. He reached past Tony’s head for the bedside table, feeling around for the lubricant they kept there.

“Hurry,” Tony insisted, clawing at WooHyuk’s back, biting his shoulder in desperation. He wrapped his legs tightly around WooHyuk’s waist, arching himself upwards. WooHyuk grunted in acknowledgment, his hand finally closing around what he’d been searching for. He’d never thought that Tony could go wild like this, and if he didn’t know how distraught his lover actually was, he’d be letting himself go crazy as well. As it was, he was trying his hardest to stay in control. The last thing he wanted to do now was hurt Tony somehow. Above all he wanted to make him feel loved and safe. Still, with Tony all over him like this, it certainly was not easy to keep his head.

“Tell me if it hurts too much,” WooHyuk managed, planting kisses on Tony’s thighs as he pushed a finger into his tight entrance. He was trying to go slow, but it was hard to keep in control.

“I don’t care,” Tony insisted urgently. “Just do it, I don’t care if it hurts. God, just....”

“I am NOT going to hurt you,” WooHyuk stated firmly, taking a moment to squeeze extra lubricant onto his fingers.

“I said I don’t care, just put it in!” Tony sounded frustrated nearly to tears.

“I care!” WooHyuk practically yelled back, feeling a bizarre mixture of arousal, annoyance, worry, and love. “Tony,” he started again in a gentler tone, “I love you, and I care if you’re hurt. Just for this part, let’s slow down a little ok?” He made a shushing sound, leaning over to kiss his face tenderly, trying to calm his lover down. He honestly had no idea how he was supposed to deal with Tony when he was like this. He’d never seen him act even remotely like this before. Still, his kisses seemed to be helping, He could feel Tony’s body relaxing beneath him. “I love you so much,” he murmured, continuing to plant gentle kisses all over. And then, abruptly, he moved away, staring down at Tony’s face in shock.

“You’re crying! Sugar, what’s wrong? No no no, don’t cry,” he babbled, trying to comfort
Tony. He wrapped both his arms tightly around him, pulling him close to his chest. “Tony, please tell me what’s wrong,” He was beside himself with worry. Tony had been acting so strangely all evening, and now he was clinging to WooHyuk, practically sobbing.

“I love you WooHyuk,” Tony finally managed to choke out. “I love you so much. I didn’t want to, I didn’t ask for it. I don’t know what to do now,” he sobbed.

“What?” WooHyuk asked, feeling a horrible chill all over his body. His stomach tightened into knots. “What happened?”

Tony looked into WooHyuk’s eyes, tears streaming down his face, and in a shaky, broken voice, told him. “WooHyuk, they’re transferring me to a different school.”
