The overall length of The year is The same as a normal earth year. The length of The day, and therefore The number of days and calender system are different.

The months are named after The remaining deities.

Hjordis - Goddess Nature and Earth
Kyrja - Goddess of Ice and Cold
Gunnar - God of Darkness
Einmyra - Goddess of Beauty and Love
Jordis - Goddess of Death
Gylf - God of Famine
Lif - God of Life
Rika - Goddess of Water

Ok, so in really short The system goes;
292 day year. Each day is 30 hours long. It is split into 4 months of 36 days and 4 months of 37 days. For 8 months in total. One week is 5 days long. Each season is two months.

math;
356 days * 24 hours = 8760 hours
8760 hours / 30 hours = 292 days
292 days / 8 months = 36.5 days / month

Month names in order;
Winter;
Gunnris - 37 days
Kyrodis - 36 days
Spring;
Hjoral - 36 days
Enmyous - 37 days
Summer;
Lifra - 36 days
Gyflus - 37 days
Fall;
Rikus - 36 days
Jordalth - 37 days

Days of The week also in order;
Firus
Aquious

AS Nyx said I was The one who wrote up The calender system

and as promised, holidays;

Gunnris, 22-23
-->The festal of Darkness.
-followers of Gunnar dress in all black and gather for a massive feast, when The feast is complete The followers bind their eyes and remain blind for 30 hours. this is in celebration of Gunnar, and to bring appreciation for The importance darkness, and The absence of darkness; light.

Kyrodis 4
--> The walk of Ice
-Followers of kyrja walk out into The mountains, where they meditate in a loose formation making The symbol of kyrja. after 3 hours of silent meditation, The followers then plunge into The nearest icy lake, and their faith keeps them from dieing. It is a true test of faith, followed by a grand feast.

Hjoral 28-33
--> The week of rebirth
followers of Hjordis believe that The world is being reborn after The darkness of winter, and spend The entire time outside, working The fields, working their gardens, or just enjoying nature. The more devout followers do all of this completely naked, as neither nature, nor babies are born with cloths.

Enmyous 33
--> The Worship of Beauty
Those who follow Einmyra set out on a quest on this day, each town finds its most beautiful person, and everyone gives them one of their most beautiful objects to help them on their way. The chosen one must then venture out and find something of such beauty that it brings tears to The eyes, and makes The soul sing! If they can not find The object of The quest, they must return before The next worship of beauty, and be beaten into such a mess that few live to survive, and those who do are horribly disfigured. Many just do not return.

Lifra 13
--> The Celebration of life, and of endings.
-The followers of Lif have a deep seated love of life, and for life. on this day, they find The person closest to death in their community, and make a large ring around them in The center of The town. After thirty minutes of prayer, The person is quickly euthanize, usually through The most painless way possible. Although some sects have taken to The practice of slowly and painfully slaughtering The victim, so that they can experience life to The fullest before death, and hopefully come closer to The life god.

Gyflus 10-11 and 11-14
--> Time of famine and feast
-Followers of Gylf call this The time of The great feast. Followers gorge themselves with food for The sixty hours of Gyflus 10 and 11, often times eating themselves sick multiple times over. very few even die from The experience. after this time of eating, The followers then go back about their lives as if everything were normal, The only difference is that they will not eat or drink for three days (or 90 hours). some cannot do this, and if Gylf is feeling in a piratically horrible mood, he will come and curse them forever with insatiable hunger. Those who survive, without whining, or making any difference to their daily lives are sometimes rewarded by The god.

Rikus 35
--> The time of cleansing
-The followers gather around The nearest body of water large enough for everyone to fit in. They then spend hours perfectly setting themselves in formation around The lake / pond/ river. they then invoke The powers of The god, to purify The waters, and enchant them, more often then not Rika will smile upon this show of faith and enchant The water based on The amount of faith each group has. The followers then go into The water and spend The rest of The day sitting at The bottom. if their prayers were answered, all of their deceases are cured, and they do not drown.

Jordalth 1-15
--> The time of death.
-The deasease from The cleansing has to go somewhere, Rika and Jordis have an achient deal from eons past. The energy, and spirit of all The deasease is gathered and given to Jordis. The god uses them to punish those who only halfheartedly worship him, and those who have started, or joined sects, not blessed by The god. over this time fifteen people will be struck with all of The horrible deaseases, yet will be unable to die. They live in agony untell The end of Jordalth (Jordalth 37) when they boil from The inside, and their stomachs rip open, and their organs poor forth, in this agony The person is helpless as they have to claw out their eyes, and bite off their tong. The force making them do this then has them bite off each of their fingers, before they finally suffer their final racking breaths, drowning in blood, and agony.

more holidays will come
