I decided I wanted to try out making sprites that would showcase a variety of different fish, types of fur and different meat cuts.

My suggestion for the butchering process here: http://z3.invisionfree.com/UrW_forum/index...?showtopic=2629

Also I need another diagram for birds/poultry.

UPDATE: I created some meat sprites because I was tired of all my meat looking like piles of chicken legs instead of flat cuts, and then went ahead and made a leg meat sprite, and other variations.

In the future, I'm going to add roasted variations of the fish sprites, as well as create unique pelts for different types of animal fur.

UPDATE: Added some pelts; bear, elk/stag, reindeer, wolf, lynx, fox, squirrel. Several varieties of fox: red, arctic, black, and cross; in addition to animal sprites for the black and cross foxes.

This will all be useful one day. I hope the game can be made to make use of your animals, skins, meatcuts etc. in the near future.

Thanks.

Sami said he's planning to move the graphics to a higher resolution, so I'm not sure exactly whether what I've done will be able to go in as is, but its a nice exercise anyway. If he wants me to make some new graphics for him I can always use these as templates.

I'm going to try to make sprites for all the major meat cuts I diagrammed out in this thread, http://z3.invisionfree.com/UrW_forum/index...?showtopic=2629 . Probably if I have time I want to make skinned versions of the animal carcasses too.

Beautiful! These would add so much color to the game!

I'm looking forward to seeing your sprites for the other meat cuts and cut carcasses...it's gory but would really help enhance the realism of the game.

Also curious, are you planning to make other furs like hare, glutton, pine marten, polecat, weasel, ermine, etc.?

Yea, of course. I'm still in the middle of working on it all though. I'll upload an update later on.
