Summer flu - that's evil, but I've been touched by one.
Five days of coughing and sneezing - no stamina for more than handling e-mails....and browsing archives for ancient UrW versions!

If any other linux users are having trouble getting it to work with dosbox, I have a workaround. The problem I was having was that nothing happened when I pressed the function keys, like F4 to play the game. Workaround: dosemu is another dos emulator for linux which seems to be faster than dosbox and additionally it lets you type "cd" and "ls" so you don't have to remember dos commands. Dosemu is available in the ubuntu repositories at least, and probably in the repositories for other distros. urw 1.00 is running just fine in dosemu for me, and it's a delightful game, full of little surprises, like the message you get when you jump off a table.

Also, for people who don't have access to an old enough version of ms word to read this part of the helpfile (most of it shows up fine, but the pictures you need to draw to use the altars do not), if you have vim installed, you can open urw.doc in vim. the pictures will displayed almost correctly, but each ^^ will represent one triangle. Or I'll copy them here for you, because since it's in urw.doc I don't think it counts as a spoiler.

@styx: it's a dos game from 1992. your version of windows is probably too new to run it without help. You need to download a program like dosbox to run it.
