A 0.25 lbs. Breach or Perch has the same or nearly the same value as a 4 lbs. Trout or Lavaret. Something around 0.75.
So you can buy a for example a Handaxe quiet easy for 70 Breams. Because you will catch alot of them and it is no problem to carry 100 pieces of them. But this is nearly impossible with Salmon or other bif fish. From a table of 2007 I know the value of a fish was connected to its weight. There a Bream had a value of 0.25 and a Lavaret had a value of 6. Dont know if it is a bug or if there is are reasons for the change. But I dont like the prices of fish nowadays. If I want to buy anything with fish, I have to save the worthless (from point of nutrition) fish and feed the valueable fish to my dogs, because I cant eat all and it is to heavy to transport it to a city. |

Fish value should be connected to nutritional value and weight - I'll check this out. What's your operating system? |

I've noticed this also when trading for fish in shops...I've been able to buy a dried pike for a single forest reindeer cut, so approximately 5 lbs of preserved food for 1 lb of raw meat!

I can confirm that! It appears that only the number of fish counts not the weight (or nutrition value, although that is hidden).
