Wickerman_156's Graphical Enhancement Mod

Greetings, I bought the game a while ago and some of the graphics were bugging me so I looked around to see if there were any other tile sets but found none so I decided to do some of my own and this is the result:

Updated 26/5-13
[v.3.17 compatible, NOT compatible with latest patch.]

»Download mod here« put these files in the "C:\UnRealWorld\TRUEGFX" folder and replace existing files, recommended to make backups of original.

This is a purely graphical mod and it will not change or add any game mechanics*, and will in no way alter your saved games, nor will you have to start a new character.

- Anyone is allowed to use parts or the whole of my mod as a base to make your own graphics mod or use it in a compilation, as long as you give credit where credit is due and put a link to this thread.

Mod Features:

- 19 new male and female player avatars to choose from.
- All real-life pictures have been replaced with drawn images.
- 61 drawn portraits to replace the real-life pictures.
-* Two optional mods:
-- Egg nests, adds grouse eggs, capercaille eggs, swan eggs, eagle eggs, mallard and tufted duck egg nests can all be found in the game.
-- Rabbit burrows,comes in two versions, rotten carcass and fresh. Fresh is slightly poisonous unless it's boiled, and rotten is not good to eat at all.

- Minor edits on most npc's, some completely reworked.
--- Many npc's have eyes.

- Minor to major edits on some of the animals:
--- New dogs.
--- Snake is more visible and doesn't look like a rope.
--- Wolverine, squirrel, wolf totally remade.
--- Many animals now have their missing fourth leg.
--- Many animals now have eyes.

- Many tweaked or reworked items/objects/plants/trees.
- Fixed the odd looking north west house corner.
- New soil tile.
- And more!

* Rushmik/Roame, creator of the RAGs mod made the water tiles(except river), the new grass ground, hill/cliff sides, boulders, rocks, spruce trees and the shelter.

* Moonk made the original cellar doors, I resized and recolored it. Spear, punt(boat), the awesome new Njerpez, fish net and the new fish.

* Thoth: I have discovered the fossilized remains of Thoth's Graphic mod in the cobwebs of internet history, restored it to modern standards and with some minor edits put them on display in my mod.
His excellent work includes the Sun, the Moon and the clouds, the merchant with a vest, the leather clad seer, the golden and white mushroom, the njerpez camp, candle and the hunting horn.

* Brian.Shapiro: Pots, wolf skin, crossbow, fishing rod, hammer and meats on the new shop signs. Helmet, boots, mitten design(I recolored) both black and white new sheeps, the cows, muskox, I added new legs to them and made female version of muskox.

* Tuuli Hypen, for re-drawing the "conflict in the woods" picture from the main menu.

* Janet for "Rozy's UI Pack", which replaces some of the real-life images with painted pictures.

26/5/13 v3.2:
All real-life pictures have been replaced with drawn images.
Many new portraits, there are now 62 of them.
Wolverines, lynxes and reindeers have received new legs.
New avatars for the starting scenarios: Runaway Slave and Hurt, helpless and afraid.
Removed all non-sash avatars, too much work.
Brian.Shapiro agreed to have some of his work included, you can see his section in the credits for specifics.
New shop signs.
New road tile.
Muskox to replace one of the cow types.
New cows.

Added eye dots on most npc's.
Remade one of the "old man" npc's.
Foreign traders now have pack horses.

Remade the child models.
Remade northern seer, house wife and staff guy.
Remade njerpez women into knife wielding slave women.
Edited Heath a bit.
Removed the staked skulls beside the tent.
Recoulored the fringe on the dug hole.
Re-textured the button to make it look like it's made out of wood.
Added two optional "flora" mods that add egg nests for eggs and rabbit burrows for rabbits.

3/1/13 v.3.1:
Updated mostly for compatability with the new patch.
Added the new lily pad.
New portraits.
New slave and hurt&alone starter scenario pictures.
New lake location picture.

10/11/12 v.3.0:
New Merchants.
More Avatars.
New Dogs.
New Bow, Pot, Arrow, Trees, Water, Fence, Fireplace, Berry bushes, mushrooms and other plants.
Graphics from Rushmik, Thoth, Moonk, Janet.

19/1/12 v.2.7:
Rotated firewood.
New farm fields(old one still available on the side, you gotta edit it yourself, located in tile.png).
New Beaver.
New Squirrel.
New Wolf.
"New" old man npc.
Some New Berries.
New Heath
Turnips recoloured.
Food shop has a new sign.
And some other small things I can't remember.

17/12/11 v.2.6:
Fixed a derp: All the avatars now have a female counterpart.
Remade the bear-cape seer.

28/8/11 v.2.5:
Added new player farmer avatar with pitchfork and scythe.
Added new player fisher avatar with fishing pole and trident.

1/7/11 v.2.0:
Added new pig graphic.
Added new player avatars, bowman, ranger, female with spear and bow.

Soil tile doesn't look that good when it's not connected to other soil tiles but hopefully it won't bother you too much biggrin.gif

In other news; updated the graphic set to latest patch and made a new player avatar fully armoured and armed that you can change to when you've acquired those items in-game.

No graphic files were updated with the latest patch it seems, so my mod should still be compatible with it without any work on my part, how nice.

Also the example picture isn't really up to date, I've done several tweaks since then.
And I closed graphics contributions.

One problem I found is you swapped the sheep graphic with ram. Other than that I didn't find any problem yet.

Thanks man! I updated the files so download it again and it'll be fixed, couldn't find any sheep in my game to check it myself :/

Love the animals. Great work.

Even after the fix there are still sheep with horns. Evidently Sami has the gender<->graphic linked wrong. The ones I saw were all big and small sheep so that may be where the problem is (or it might just be irrelevant).

Pig looks a little more rat-like than the old one however.

Would like to see a bowman avatar too

Ah yeah that's probably right, because on the original, both graphics for sheep look the same so I guess it wasn't relevant to link gender to a specific graphic at the time.

Also did a whole lot of new stuff, new pig and bowman as requested but also female default character and bowman, and I threw together a ranger-esque character.
