It would be great if a char (possibly with the aid of a pack / bag) could carry more items than the game currently allows (with the same weight restrictions of course - or maybe even with a bonus say 5% for being able to distribute weight evenly. I know i can carry more weight on my back than in my arms ).
At the moment after your char is fully armoured and wearing cold insulating garments there is very little space in the inventory after you take into account weapons + food. Even though you are only at 50% weight capacity you cant carry any more.

For me. containers would also be greatly useful for organization purposes.

What would also make the game alot more intuitive, is smart inventory selection. For example if i want to tan a hide when it asks me to select one, only the skins show up. or if it asks for a cord only the ropes cords show up.
Why would a hunter attempt to tan a longbow, or make a loop snare with a paddle ?

I agree, my current house is chalk full of stacks of items just lying on the floor, a container to put them all in would be nice. I am not sure about crying weight, as it is, it seems that a player can carry to much. (I do not know many people who could really carry 10 javelins very well with 10 cuts of meat and the skin of a dead animal all while using one hand to throw a javelin.

so rather then allowing the play to carry more I would like to see the player needing to craft something to help him carry what is currently carrying.
