Arvid eased himself forward slowly and quietly. His prey just ahead of him, oblivious to the danger it was in was grazing. He edged his head up just a bit looking to see if Linden and Willow were in position. He couldn’t see them, which was good but it only left him with a guess as to where exactly they were and if they were in the right spots. He lowered his head and crept towards the doe.

They were supposed to all be down wind of the deer and as close as he was getting to the deer left him the strong assumption that everything was going as planned. And just like that it didn’t. He sprang forward automatically at the sound of thudding hooves that spoke of a deer that had finally spooked. Behind him he could hear Linden and Willow fall in behind him. He furrowed his brow and sprinted after the deer, almost nipping at her heels. By luck his teeth caught hold of the flesh of her hamstring causing the doe to lash out with her sharp hooves.

Arvid took a hissing breath as a hind hoof racked through the fur along his shoulder as he instinctivly ducked out of the way. But his manuever made him lose his momentum causing Willow and Linden to shoot past him, shoulder to shoulder. He frowned and charged after them. Catching up just in time for Linden to Catch the injured doe’s good leg while Willow went for the belly of the animal.

And just like that it was over. The doe laid thrashing on the ground as its entrails spilled out of its abdomen, while Linden pulled on her hind leg and Willow went for her throat. Arvid jumped in, making more of a mess of the entrails while the deer slowly died.

In her four-legged form, the mysterious ebony fae moved lightly on her paws, her bright blue eyes were lazily affixated ahead of herself. Her ears were layed back as she moved through the luscious grass. The beautiful autumn leafs were shown in brilliant colors of red, orange, yellow, and some purple. No other time of year excited her like fall. She licked her lips as the sound of a water fall reached her ears. It was what attracted her here, fresh water. Picking up her pace she began to look like a wisp moving through the trees.

Her fast graceful movements slowed as she heard the last breaths of a creature. She stopped her nose lifting to the air as the smell of blood tainted it. She also catches a familiar scent, it was that boy...Arvid? She moves lightly and cautiously in his direction. It took her merely a minute to reach him. A small grin played upon her muzzle as her brilliant eyes met his figure. Sitting amongst the bushes she would wait to see if he noticed her yet. To her this was like a game.

She knew he would most likely be unhappy with her presence, however, she did not care. She understood why, I mean, c'mon she told him his wife, girlfriend, sister thing was dead. Whoever the dam was to him, it did not matter now, she was in the spirit world. Her ears went alertly forward watching him and two pups. Huh, he has pups. She did not know the wolf was a father. How interesting. She smiles lightly again, how cute.

Arvid licked the blood from his nose as he stepped back from the kill, smiling a little as Linden and Willow howled into the night celebrating their first kill that they kind of took down by themselves. It wasn’t long before they quieted down and commenced to chowing down. He sat back watching them, forcing himself to relax and force all his little problems out of his head. Problems like Wind Dancer, his sister, his unborn pups, and the pack, all his problems leading back to one being, Balraj. He knew something wasn’t right with the ruler, but he didn’t want to bring it up around Willow. He watched her eat. She had been mated to him, he could smell it on her. Was that a good thing? Did that mean she was his mate now? No, he had claimed Seraphim as his too and Makea. He wondered how much longer Makea had until she was due. He knew how she got Balraj to believe they were his and he really hated the idea of him and Makea together, more so than Willow and Balraj together because that’s what Willow wanted right. He wasn’t sure if he could stand by and watch his pups being raised by that bastard, maybe he could steal them away and hide far, far away from the pack lands.

The light breeze brought him news that they weren’t alone. He looked in the direction the wind had come from; there was nothing there but darkness. Behind him he heard a fight breakout between his two siblings, he looked over his shoulder irritated but let them fight it out. Willow looked to be on the losing end which was a change, but Linden was growing up and getting bigger than her. He was looking more and more like his father much to his displeasure. He returned his attention to the one hidden in the darkness. He knew who it was; one didn’t easily forget someone who said your best friend/mother was dead, killed by your new leader. He stood up and faced the direction she was in and sat gracelessly on the ground. “Hello, Sahara won’t you join us?” He heard the fight behind him quiet down as he spoke. He remembered how he had stormed off the last time they met, the memory causing a light blush to flare up underneath his pelt. He wasn’t sure he believed her, he wasn’t sure why he invited her over, but both of his moms had raised him better than that. He would try to let bygones be bygones.

Her bright eyes watched as he caught her scent from a breeze that blew past. Things were getting chilly around here, and she hated the cold. Hated it more than anything and the breeze reminded her of such events. Licking her lips as her name came to her ears, she could not believe her remembered her name from such a brief encounter. Sauntering out of the brush, her bright eyes calmly look into his, she did not know what to say to the odd wolf, but with her quick mind she mustered up something, "Cute kids...Wouldn't pin you for being a father." Coming close she sits down near him. A good four feet away.

Her eyes look from them to him, "I bet their mom is cute, knowing you you probably have a babe.." She jokes with a smile. Her long black tail came around her paws trying to restore the warmth from the cool earth. Sahara puffed up like a bird as she quickly stood shaking her pelt then resumed sitting wrapping her tail once more around her paws. "I uh, would like to apologize for upsetting you the other day...I am not much of a social butterfly.." She threw out there her bright eyes looking deep into his with that piercing stare of her. It was electrifying, and seemed to never fail to do so to others. Her ears lightly folded back as her eyes soften a little, almost in a puppy like expression.

He silently watched her approach. Her bright eyes captivating his, he looked away as she began speaking. And he was glad he did he shifted uncomfortably as his skin burned beneath his fur. She thought those two were his? He dared a glance at them, they were watching him and Sahara, munching quietly on their meal. Now she was talking about their mother… like she was his mate. He cracked an embarrassed smile as she sat and continued speaking, apologizing for their last encounter. He looked back at her a moment and shrugged, his skin still burning. “It’s in the past now nothing we can change, I’m sorry for reacting like I did… she raised me and my siblings, she was the greatest thing that happened to me” He frowned at the flood of emotion he was beginning to lose himself in, that wouldn’t do he needed to distract himself quick.

He looked at Willow and Linden again, they weren’t even pretending to eat anymore, they were just sitting hunched over the deer staring at them. “They are not mine, they are by brother and sister” he paused a moment trying to get a hold of himself, “half brother and sister” he smiled apologetically to them then looked back to Sahara, “But I raised them since they were this big” he held one of his paws off the ground a few inches.

Her ears perked intently forward, she could sense his tension. Curiously her eyes looked into his not paying any mind to the two pups. He was the center of her attention, her head was lowered and tilted curiously listening to him, "I am sorry to hear that..." Lifting her head she glances back to the pup's. They were staring, and she thought she was odd. Blinking her eyes look back to him as he mentions they were not his, she blushes deeply, "...oh I am so sorry.." She looks down her ears folding back.

With her head down in a shy manner she began to curse her awkwardness. Communicating with others was not easy and she almost hated it because she became overly shy when she attempted to. Being weird and odd was so much easier. The silence was overbearing, her stomach began to ache from the stress. Normally, she would not put herself out on a limb like this, but there was something about him she found attracting. One ear began to go forward then went back as she thought about speaking. Lifting her head enough to look at him she smiles sheepishly, "So...you-you don't have any mate or pups for that matter?" Her bright blue eyes looked into his, her shy and unsure behavior made them look very puppy like.

He forced a small smile at her as she appologized for assuming Linden and Willow were his. They sat in silence for a little bit and she spoke again and his ears fell. That was a complicated question to answer, but for the sake of conversation and the need to get it off his chest to someone who more than likely will never see Balraj or the pups he would try. "Well, I do kind of have pups on the way but they will never call me dad." he looked away a small frown on his face. He was beginning to hate Makea more and more the closer she got to her due date. "She has convinced the alpha that they are his and she belongs to the alpha now anyways so it will probably be better for them wont it?" He looked back at her like she could answer it. His words from before quiet so that his siblings didnt hear, he didnt want them involved in this mess he got himself into.

Her ears went back, this was playing with her mind. Was he or wasn't he a bachelor? Her nails dug into the earth. His life seemed too complicated, "So let me get this straight...your love convinced the alpha that they are his...what-she slept with him?" She was unsure how to think of this. It seemed like this love of his was a whore. However, she could be totally wrong and this female was just a bang-zip-screw. Her eyes wondered to the staring eyes. Her brilliant blues staring right back at them, boldly. She loved to weird others out, and the little ones made it way to easy to say the least. With a wicked smile she looked at them like food just to see their reaction. She was harmless, very harmless really. Pups were fun, and so were adults when you could make them squirm in their own fur.

Arvid listened silently as she vocalized what he had left out, letting his eyes wander away as she spoke. Her saying it, made it sound sicker and more depraved than when he said it. He steeled himself for the look of disgust or fake pity he expected her to show, he glanced back at her but she wasn’t even looking at him. She was glaring at Linden and Willow, he followed her gaze wondering what they had done to get her attention. He watched solemnly as they attempted to crouch down and hide behind the deer, he cracked a smile. They had yet to figure out that just because they couldn’t see what they were hiding from didn’t mean they were hidden, which made the kill they were trying to hide behind a small miracle. He watched Willow’s tail start to wag, “Yes” he looked away into the darkness of the woods, “she did, and she’s not my love. If she felt anything for me she wouldn’t have done this, I wanted to help her raise them, I offered to throw everything away for the pups… and her. But I wasn’t what she wanted. I was a mistake I think.” He looked back at her like a chastised pup wanting to see the repulsion bloom across her dark face. He knew it would be there because he deserved it.

She laughed, almost a giggle really at the adolescent ones, then her ears pricked to him. Her bright blues looking at him with amusement. He was full of so much pride it was amazing. He held himself so high, that when he felt he did something stupid he seemed to punish himself. She makes a small snicker. "Wish I knew how it went down...but if she was never your lover...nor had any interest in you...--nevermind...it is none of my business.." She shrugs her then ends up smiling again. "As I see it...from what I have been understanding through my big ears it seems there is a lot of drama in wolf packs...and really she seems rather crude and definitely not worth this hub bub...it sucks that those pups won't get to know their real father. They certainly are missing out on a great male figure."She stood up and trotted over to the two little rascals, and play bowed. Her eyes glitter with a playful competitiveness then she leaps at their kill, trying to tempt them in guarding it from her. She smiles waiting with amusement.

He watched her silently as she made her way towards Linden and Willow, his mind still trying to compute what she had said. She thought he’d be a good male figure, a small frown grew, too bad she didn’t know him that well because she wouldn’t be saying that if she did. He watched as she challenged them, the way their ears twitched as they peaked over their hiding spot at her. Then she lunged and all hell broke loose. As soon as she moved they simultaneously launched themselves up and over the deer at Sahara, Arvid stood up worried that they would hurt her, being a stranger and all and that she would maybe hurt them back. But he could kind of see hints of playfulness on his siblings so no need to worry just yet. Deciding not to sit in his little depressed corner of the world he darts towards the fray, ready to add his two cents in.

Licking her lips she watched as those pups defended their food source, good, she thought as she moved with great speed and ease. Backing away her eyes sparked with a flash of light. It was as if lightening went off throughout her body. Licking her lips she smiles, then her eyes watch as Arvid joins in the fun. The moment he was in reach she playfully charged him and pounced like a fox on a mouse. Her eyes were so bright, so alert she looked like a puppy. As her paws landed her mouth latched on to the nearest part of his body, whether that was a neck, ear, paw, or muzzle. She wanted hardcore play.

Her eyes looked into his watching his reaction, she was amazed with herself. She usually avoided others like the plague, and when she was around others she never was herself, always doing this to force them away. In this situation she was kind of doing the same thing, except now she was playing. Her eyes showed the excitement of a puppy spirit once again as she mauled her oncoming opponents. Her ears back while her paws dance about to avoid any nips that assaulted them.

He watched startled as Sahara easily evaded Linden and Willow's attack, took notice of him and charged him. He tried to change direction so that she would miss him but it was to late. Arvid let out muffled oomph when Sahara practically landed on him, tackling him to the ground taking his ear in her mouth. Laughing he kicked out with his legs trying to push her away while trying to grab hold of anything he could get a hold of determined to win this scuffle. His eyes bugged out when Linden turned his attack from Sahara to himself, latching onto his right back leg above his paw, growling and shaking it. He kicked at him with his other leg trying to free himself while he continued to push against Sahara with just his front legs now. He smirked as he spied Willow over Sahara's shoulders seemingly going for, thankfully, Sahara. She looked like she was just going to try to tackle her to the ground and rough her up a bit, but sometimes there was no telling with her.

(..powerplay...but hopefully it will be okay...lemme know if it tis not.)

As she mauled her opponent she wagged her tail in amusement of Linden going for her brother. This only encouraged her to playfully tug on Arvid's scruff with a harsh play growl. Suddenly, she was taken surprise by Willow. She was paying no attention to the female, and for that, she got the consequence of being pounced upon. Luckily she was standing rather squarely making her only teeter over a little. However, that still did not stop the willow from falling off. Taking her attention off of Arvid she quickly and forcefully begins to roll like she was on fire in hopes to knock the young female away and off.

She then swiftly stands her head lowered watching all her opponents. In her bright blue eyes was a spark of mischief, along with a smile to go with it. Licking her lips she waited for the first brave one to come forward, then the chase will begin. This was her strong suit, she was very swift as they may have already seen. Her eyes glance to Arvid, a slight flirtatious look upon her. In all honesty she was attracted to the male, it was one of the reasons she came out of the shadows, not because he said for her to, but because she wanted to. Licking her lips again she gives a flirty smile and wink his way, just to toy with him a bit more, maybe get him to chase her.

[they are NPC you can do with them what you want ^_^ and feel free to pp Arvid]

He thrashed about a bit on his back, kicking Linden in the face making him let go and as he was about to turn his attentions to Sahara but Willow beat him to her. He got to his feet as Willow and Sahara rolled around, he wasn’t surprised when Sahara sprang away. He takes a slow step forward sizing her up, as he moves he catches a glimpse of something but before he could look again it was gone. He gave her a wary look and took another slow step. Then he paused, his tail swaying behind him as Willow and Linden continued to wrestle behind him. She smiled and winked, he couldn’t help but smile back at her; he hadn’t had this much fun or felt this free since he lived in Majestic Vista. Growling he sprang forward, snapping at her, rising to the challenge she issued.

She was pleased to see willow and linden occupying themselves, she was wanting a one on one with their brother. Not because she was crushing, but she wanted to see how strong of a male he really was. As he rose to the challenge and snapped at her she did a 'ew, is that all you got?' kind of look. Her eyes once more sparked like the lightening in the sky and she leaped within reach, then took off, instigating the chase. She couldn't wait for him to come after her, she envisioned him tackling her. A blush almost came to her as she was thinking romantically, letting loose a snarl she shook her childish thoughts and went into a hard play mode.

He smirked at her not so impressed looked and tried give her one himself but he probably came off as something goofy since he was practically smiling ear to ear as he charged at her. He had expected her to turn tail and run but instead she took off towards him. He lowered himself closer to the ground as he ran, ready for impact. An impact that never came since at the last minute she veared to one side causing him to stumble and overshoot just a little as he turned to give chase. Growling, he picked up his pace and sprinted after her nipping at her tail, the only thing he could reach at the moment. Panting he kept up with her as she tried to shake him changing directions in a split second. He couldn't do the split second thing which led to some rather ungraceful stumbling on his part but he managed to catch back up, something he suspected she was letting him do, but he couldn't be sure. With a burst of speed he gained ground on her, his shoulder coming even with her hips. Giving a not-so-furious snarl he carefully but quicky snapped his jaws at her, aiming too take some of the fur along her back or maybe some of the tough loose skin in his mouth. That would slow her down for sure.

Her eyes brightened as he took chase, the expressions on his face made her giggle like a hyper pup. The child at heart came out of her in a burst. She moved and glided like she was in the peak of her life, but she was a still young, only two summer's old. Her glossy coat shining blue in the daylight, almost as blue as her eyes. She was unique, no ebony wolf looked as bright and as stunning as she did, and she did not recognize this beauty or unique quality about her, those things meant nothing to her. She cared for life, and living it to the fullest, and their act of play was just that.

She was a retaliation kind of wolf, and that showed the moment he took her bait then bit at her back, quickly she made her counter-attack but putting on the breaks and dipping her head and attacking his forelegs knowing that would surely knock him over, whether she connected or not due to her head being in the way. She did not think of the pain that would cause from his legs at their speed hitting her head. But, fun had a price and sometimes pain happened, she did not care. She watched as everything happened so fast.

No one in their right mind had ever called him graceful and he had never tried to fool himself into thinking that he was. So when he saw Sahara go for his forelegs all Arvid could feel was doom. He tried to muster his hind legs beneath him enough to spring over her but she had acted to quick and he was mid-stride. There was nothing he could do but plow into her like a rampaging moose. He would never admit it but he closed his eyes. He felt her fangs on his leg and winced when his leg was pulled free from his seemingly slow motion crash. He yelped when he face planted on the ground, catching his breath when his body continued over carried by his momentum into a full flip, landing ever so gracefully on his back with a deep thud. He lay there a moment gasping for the air knocked out of his lungs while he teetered on his back, finally falling to one side.
