Yep, that's right! The long awaited GSDS remakes have been annouced! Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver are their names and they will most definitely be for the Nintendo DS. The games are scheduled to be released on or around the original release dates of Pokémon Gold and Silver of this year. That's sometime in November for Japan. Everyone else gets it in 2010. Also, rumor has it that your starter Pokémon will follow you around throughout the game. Dunno if it's true or not, but it'd be interesting to know if it was or not!

Just to update the thread, the Japanese Versions for HG and SS are released in a few days, after that we should be seeing some major updating regarding the games on the major Pokemon sites, so I wonder what news they'll bring us

Yep, now that the Japanese versions are out, I'd like to point out that I've heard that they're good. I have no idea what an American release date is, so if anyone's got that, it'd be much appreciated if we got that information. =]

I'm probably going to get Soul Silver when it comes out. Last I heard the release was sometime in the 1st quarter in 2010 for the states.
